    I got a varicose vein surgery 2 weeks ago and the only things I really can do is walking and upperbody isometrics. Now I want to start doing light carries daily while walking to build and speed up my recovery! your video was good! Thanks!

    Phil: "I don't like to use the f word"
    Me: "He's not gonna..."
    Phil: "functional"
    Me: "oh my God it's worse than I thought"

    I’ve just started doing sandbag/keg carries and feeling the benefits almost straight away. I have a manual labour job and it’s made my job easier and safer as I’m lifting correctly.
    Great informative video mate

    Love the new channel name mate :)
    Keep up the grind, your channel will get huge one day! It's only a matter of time before you create videos that really start to go viral. Mark my words.

    Lovin this topic, man. I've been avoiding gyms now due to the virus. I think outdoor carries will be a badass exercise to do outside

      Odd shaped weighs are like that, there is plenty of benefits of carrying odd shaped objects, proper grip depending of weight distribution for better strength overall

      Bought 50-100-150-200 lb sand bags.. literally realized I won’t even be able to use the 100lb for a long time. Hurt my back but it’s healing quick. But just looking at the 150-200 I laughed out loud and realized that is gonna be a life time goal. Unreal people can lift those no problem

      @@jordanstangl2293I got the similar setup. 100 was tough so I was working with the 50 and practicing the 100 every once in a while. I have a 150 atlas stone that was my goal, which I can now shoulder. The key for me was working the bags every day. Not to the point of exhaustion but a few reps in the morning and at night or just picking it up when passing by it. My goal is a 200lb bag lift and then stone by the end of the year.
      Try rowing the bag before going for the lift. If you can get 5 rows out of it, then begin going for the actual lift. DON’T curl the weight!

    Real world strength vs gym strength
    A 200lbs bag is gonna be way heavy than a 200lbs deadlift because one its dead weight not connected to a barbell but two your carrying the weight which make you fatigue quicker

    • @hippo6billion811
      @hippo6billion811 3 роки тому +7

      No that's not why at all it is because the shape of the sandbag is harder to grasp on to than the barbell, and you are carrying the weight in front of you which is harder on the back

    If I could only keep one piece of equipment from my home gym, it would be my sandbag.
