Hey Matt, just so you know, when the goats get bigger horns and stick their heads through the fence, they can get stuck and die. Unfortunately this has happened to some of our goats. You might try using different fencing that they can’t put their heads through. (Like so he can see this.) P.S. We usually burn their horns when they are younger so they don’t grow.
Can confirm, had goats, they get their horns stuck easier than people might think. They also have the ability to destroy literally anything they can get to... So i think it might be in Matts interest to get the herds, and the resort, fully separated.

Matt, You need to get some rolls of Chicken Wire to put on the inside of the other wire to prevent the goats from sticking their heads through and getting hung up in the fence and harming themselves ! Also , get a load of sand to put down on the ground in that metal building before putting any straw or mulch down.

You could always get a duel fuel generator. We use them on the job site all the time and one 20lb propane tank should give you about 14-22 hours of run time(depending on load). I'm sure you can get a kit to retrofit your current generator also.

Glad to see that you got a much larger generator for the travel trailer, What a lot of people don't know is just because a generator will run the AC unit doesn't mean it is running it properly. If the generator isn't producing the proper amps the AC may work but it is really bad on the AC's compressor and will cause it to burn up.
Have you ever considered a solar setup would be silent and you could use solar panels to make a patio structure or similar would be more up front and you could make it large enough to handle future loads as well.
Matt, That one big rock is sweet! I bet the "all-natural bird bath" in that big rock is a mortar created by many generations of Native Americas grinding acorns in it. I'd keep that one for sure and make sure it's never damaged. It was most likely made by one of the bands of the Coahuiltecan Nation. Most mortars are round, but I've seen many that are oval, and that one you have is very unique. Very cool piece.
I bought an extended run kit for my 3500 and hooked it to a 12 gallon tank. It would have been cheaper than purchasing that 7500. It has a pump so no gravity feed and will work on any size remote tank to suit your needs. Converting the 3500 to propane is also an option. It makes a little less power than gas but run time will be as long as you want.
I'd be shocked if you ever see this but... Honda generators are absolutely worth every extra penny. Long story short, Got stuck at my friend's house years ago when parts of Western Washington got hit by a really bad ice storm. We very rarely get those. There were so many (actual) trees down over power lines in the ten miles between between our places that i could not get home for five days. In those five days his little Honda EU 2200 ran all if the lights, refrigerator, entire entertainment system (lots of music and tv) and anything we needed to charge. All while being quiet enough on the front porch for us to have normal conversations while sitting out there. Pretty sure we went through less than ten gallons of gas running it the whole time. Needless to say I bought one shortly thereafter.
I've come to the conclusion that Matt has a lot of toys. There is no way I could manage all of this stuff on a daily basis as well as a nice family. I would die of exhaustion in a week. Way to go Matt.
Just a thought if your new one doesn't run long enough, you could put a "Y" in your gas line and have a long enough hose to drop in a 5 gallon can of gas. Just keep it about a 1/4 inch from the bottom of the can. Just a suggestion? Just now saw the part of the rock with the built in bird bath, not telling you what to do, I waold put some small rocks in it so it's only about 2 inches deep. Years ago I didn't know better until afterwards, if it's too deep, birds can drown really easy. You probably already know that.
Yes he had a full load on that suckers.A/C should have been turned on way way earlier. That’s why he ran out of gas.Pulling that many BTU’ /load out of the trailer it never cycles off.

@@grntitan1 That's is true but dual fuel is a nice option, also have to consider that propane is safer to store and natural gas has basically an unlimited supply that is highly unlikely to be interrupted.

Hey Arnold! I recommend you look into a full size home emergency back up generator. The can carry a home I don't see why one couldn't be rigged to power 4 campers temporarily and once you have real power you have a backup.
Hi Matt. A cheaper option would have been to bypass the onboard fuel tank and run a fuel line to a much larger external fuel tank. You could get a tank big enough to run the generator for weeks. The other option would be to install solar panels with battery storage to run the airstream and have the generator as a backup for that. Zero noise with solar panels🫥😆

Another option that could work for your power needs is look up DC Solar trailers. Very handy for areas without power and the create a good amount of it.
you can get lids that replace the generator fuel cap that have a nozzle to connect a tube to gravity feed fuel from a larger fuel tank, sort of like a boat fuel tank. FYI. works great in canada in the winter hunting! cheers.
Hello Matt, I love your videos, and I have been following since you started your beautiful house and now I am following you on your new renovations. I am so excited to enjoy every new video. Hats off to you on the new project!❤❤❤❤❤❤
I use those predator inverter generators for work. You can get a boat fuel container, some fuel line and an inline primer. Modify the fuel cap on the generator so that you can attach the fuel line from the boat fuel container to it. Put the boat fuel tank higher than the generator, prime the line, fire the Genny up, let that sucker run for 18-24 hours.
The goat shelter needs to be insulated against the heat and, perhaps to a lesser degree, cold. Without insulation, all it is, is an oversized tin oven. Probably should have concrete floor added to the goat shelter side as well as the feed store half so that water can't run underneath the walls and make any bedding into a soggy moldy mess. It will be far easier to clean out a concrete floor than a rocky floor.
As a lawn care guy grass needs an inch a week of water. It’s best for longer times or water less times per week. Gets the roots to go way down in the soil
Too bad y'all weren't there when I was still at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio. I definitely would've stopped by however that was years ago now. I still remember the heat as it was crazy hot in summer which wasn't all that fun unless you were in water which helped a bit lol. a minor suggestion is maybe looking into building a solar setup with batteries for overnight and running the power over to the airstream. It looked like there was a open field nearby which would allow for running without fuel and having the generator for a backup. Just my thoughts on this as it may help run the entire airstream. The other thought was to have a rv/camping area with power setup further from the main buildings if people would like to camp instead of stay in the building. The bummer may be the permits for all of this as I don't really know what the permits that are required in the area of the abandoned ranch.
Honda generators are so much quieter and much more fuel efficient. Mine runs for eight or more hours, depending on the load, on just a gallon and a half of gas! During a power outage it was running a refrigerator, a deep freezer, three flatscreen TV's, four laptop computers, six 20" box fans, 12 lights with LED Bulbs, and my front loading washer (just to finish washing the load that was already in there).
Seeing that new shirt really hit different today. It is a first world issue for sure, but yesterday, my camp reno project got broken into. Both the camp and the travel trailer we are using to stay in while working there were broken into and tools stolen. I have to use your line to stay positive. It's gonna be great.
Matt, take a look at a product called RV Soft Start. Most of the load on the generator is the surge you get when the AC compressor starts. These boxes allow a small draw on the generator when the A/C compressor starts. This will allow you to run them in ECO mode and save some fuel. Also look and see if the hot water heater can also be run on propane. If it can then this will save fuel also.
Matt, you need to announce when you're going to pick the lucky person who wins anything. How do we know. We love the first print you did on the abandoned resort. My wife and I wore them to breakfast one morning a lot of people liked it. We need a trip to bunker branding so we can put a pin on the Big Island map. Aloha from Moku O Keawe (Hawaii Island) Home of Kilauea Volcano 🌋
I never miss you videos love them all. It's cool remodeling old buildings because you find unique things. As a handyman i have found some cool items. Best of luck and would to visit the ranch
You could always get a bigger fuel tank for the quiet generator. Get a 12 gallon tank that has a pump into the generator for your little quiet generator.
Those harbor freight generators are great. Only problem is they will only run for a maximum of eight hours. You can get a above deck boat gas tank(15gal) that is larger than the generators capacity plumb it into the carburetor.
I bought an old construction light tower for our 5th wheel on our property. 6kW diesel powered generator super quiet and powers the RV for 5 days on a 30 gallon tank.
Hey Matt I think a better test of the 3rd generator would be to have the air stream parked out in the sun. Actual field conditions would be best. Thanks and your welcome. Bob
Ever that about using those portable power stations with solar chargers example: Bluetti, Ecoflow, Growatt, Anker for the Airstream at the abandoned resort and the abandon resort building that has no power.
You can get an extended run time fuel kit and use an external tank. You can setup a larger stationary fuel tank or a portable 5 gal that's easy to fill up at the gas station if you don't have a mobile fuel station.
Okay Matt, You asked for what I would be seriously interested in watching and I know it would be a HUGE project with LOTS of parts to it, but I would like to see that burnt "Main Building" rebuilt as close to original as possible maybe with some modern updates. All the video progress from start to finish with a ribbon cutting at the "Grand Opening" ! THAT would be a great series !!! That's my thought. I enjoy ALL your videos. Thanks and have a great day!
Hey Matt, to solve the power issue get a BLUETTI Power Cell and some solar panels mixed with a wind turbin power generator since it's a open field and just use the Gens as back-ups. Free Power.
You could slap on a couple solar panels, and run the new EcoFlow electric AC to keep the place cool when you're away from the camper, then use the generator when you're in the camper.
Hey Matt, wherever the Airstream ends up include a small to average propane grill or a fire ring to cook on. Keep the area mowed short too with this heat.
I have that predator generator, same one, mine lasts 10 to 11 hours on 2.5 gallons in my RV, used it 3 nights in a row, only refilled it everyday in the am.

A defeatist attitude is self fulfilling, Matt. Stay positive and keep saying it is going to be great because one day it will.

Hi Matt, Try out one of the Extended Run Auxiliary Fuel Tanks. Basically you need a bigger tank and a new cap to your generator's tank to feed it.
I never miss you videos love them all. It's cool remodeling old buildings because you find unique things. As a handyman i have found some cool items. Best of luck and would to visit the ranch
Watching the goats follow you around even while your in a big scary machine shows the love you have for them.
Thank you, very kicked back cool video, keep on, being a great bunch of people
You could always get a bigger fuel tank for the quiet generator. Get a 12 gallon tank that has a pump into the generator for your little quiet generator.
Oh no it’s totally easier to spend $2k more and just buy a bigger generator.
"IT'S GONNA BE GREAT" is matt's smile more
2:10 You gotta get that orb covered. Direct sunlight can and will cause a fire. It's a massive magnifying lens.
Hay matt why dont you get some aolar panels on the roof then you only need the generator at night
Hey Matt
I think a better test of the 3rd generator would be to have the air stream parked out in the sun. Actual field conditions would be best.
Thanks and your welcome.
Bob
Ever that about using those portable power stations with solar chargers example: Bluetti, Ecoflow, Growatt, Anker for the Airstream at the abandoned resort and the abandon resort building that has no power.
I use 2x6 under inside track of bobcat to dig rain runoff trenches. Works well enough
You can get an extended run time fuel kit and use an external tank. You can setup a larger stationary fuel tank or a portable 5 gal that's easy to fill up at the gas station if you don't have a mobile fuel station.
Matt do what you want I like all the Length of videos! I will watch them all. But I do occasionally like the long ones :)
It’s going to be great. That saying will help keep you going like. One day at a time has helped so many
Hey Matt, to solve the power issue get a BLUETTI Power Cell and some solar panels mixed with a wind turbin power generator since it's a open field and just use the Gens as back-ups.
