There are guns that are fun and you don’t need a reason to buy it other than “it’s fun and I want it.” However, ARs don’t fall in this category. If it’s not SHTF capable it’s a waste of money. Save your coins and buy something better than this that is capable in all situations.
@gabegoins4422 better rifles, M4A1 Socom and M16A4 clone drip. They are about 1700- 1800 though. FN is overpriced, especially this rifle for what it is. They really cheaped out but still charged alot. There are much better rifles in this category for less money. If I was gonna pay the FN tax, I would get the nice ones. That stock is terrible, and I don't like the upper receiver.
I really like the IWI, but the price has been going up for a little bit now. You could easily buy better furniture and probably be cheaper than the IWI, not by a lot, though.

If I was gonna get an FN, it would be the Military Collector versions. I went with Colts. I would get an IWI or the Ruger MPR before this rifle.

is it a heavy barrel profile? its shame it doesnt come with the famous FN CHF CL barrel, but then it wouldnt be $699!

It’s a coin toss between this and the IWI Zion. I’d probably go IWI for the better B5 furniture.
