Awesome what you can do, I have a 2003 VROD anniversary also Low milage which I wish someone like you could do a service on, but I cannot find anyone who Can in Florida, the techs at the harley dealer do t know nothing and end up doing a half job and charge and extreme amount of money, I am so glad that someone like you can help some guys out with your knowledge and expertise, Thanks for a very good video
I bought my 1st Vrod 03, my friend all hot nodded Evuls, me included. Watched the video, making of a V rod. Not too long after, I was the proud owner. It to me a few months to really understand how to ride the V rod and find its performance potential. Not to long after, we lined up 7 of my brothers hopped up evos. Talk about a shocker. The closes Evo was another 7 bikes behind, and my v rod was still building power. I currently own 7 of them. 4 that I ride often, the others I will keep for parts incase I need it. But so far..120k hard miles on my original 03 and still a fast bike. Unfortunately my other friends all own v rods..lol
HOLY CRUUUUD !!! had local dealer do the 30k incl check valve lash and most likely they added/changed shims to bring up to spec. Dealer even told me they were bringing in a tech from another dealership who was more familiar with VRods. Went to do my oil change today and found 2, YES TWO valve tappet shims stuck to the drain plug magnet.......ESP coverage for another 3 years, but won't do any good if the motor eats itself due to incompetence and cannot source a replacement. Don't know if I should trust the dealership to do the teardown and inspection.......If they do and there are more than 2 shims missing, I may want to see about possibility of trailering my prized HD hotrod to your shop for that 160 hp upgrade you spoke about in your video, 🤔😫😱😱😱 if it is still available.......HD needs to bring back the Vee !!! (and I'm an OG !!)
Thank you! Hey, right at the intro it looks like you are sprinkling something in the rear wheel plugs. What is that? Never mind…talcum powder. Yeah, I use baby shampoo to wash it. Love the smell!
Yeah a lot people bad mouth my 2003 V-Rod ,but she is still running. I remember this die hard Harley Davidson owner saiid, “ she is mighty pretty, but she ain’t’ no Harley !“
I love dusting "real harleys" I can lean my rod over farther and faster than any harley I've seen out on the road and when they try to keep up they're always a mile behind struggling to hit 90 mph while I'm cruising at 130-140 lmao

Great video Bill. Myself an owner of an '08 NRS. Glad to hear your comments as a professional mechanic and the respect you give to VRODs.

I just picked up a red 2006 SE Vrod, my 5th Vrod. I'm keeping this one. I've never understood why HD did not try to sell these.
I have a 2013 got smoke coming out where the idle control valve any ideas? The bike was sitting for a couple years low miles
Glad I found your channel 👍🏻 Just subscribed
Where do you even find v rod parts. I can't find rings to save my life.
