    I have a 100ah battery from JITA and while the craftsmanship might not be great, I will say, the battery is very impressive in its actual use. It certainly saved my life when I was forced to live inside of my truck at the start of of the pandemic with solar panels on the roof. The other batteries from better companies were just too prohibitively expensive for me to buy them.

    I have the 300Ah version of this battery for my solar setup in my camper. Had I seen this first, I probably wouldn't have made the purchase, but alas, I bought it a few months before this video came out.
    I knew it didn't have low temp charge protection, but as I was using a solar charge controller that enabled me to set that parameter through it, I wasn't worried about it. And the fact that it's in my camper, which will most likely,(at least I hope not) never be charged when it's cold. I'll probably pull it when it's stored for the winter, and keep it charged in my garage or house.
    Anyway, another great review. I always appreciate what you do for us. Thank you and have a good one.
    Peace.

      Thanks for watching Kyle! Actually you will get more life out of lithium batteries if you store them between 30-70% Lead acid likes to be full all the time, not so much with lithium.

    It's just too bad it's so hard to get quality products, this happens way to often. I'm glad you are trying to hold them accountable for us. I purchased a ReBel 12 VDC 12 Amp hour battery based on your recommendation and it works great for me! Thanks for what you do for us! Keep them coming! Please!

      Steven, same here. Liked the reBel so much, I bought another. No issues whatsoever. Customer was awesome. Another veteran owned and operated company as well. There is something to be said for Veteran Owned businesses! Jeremy is awesome, helped me with an order, fast shipping, answered all questions, awesome experience all the way around.

    Unbelievable! Thanks for discovering this FAIL for us and am glad you didn't waste your money, only time. I actually looked at this battery recently. Not anymore! I so far have been lucky with the affordable options i've purchased. I haven't opened any up though either. Lol. They've just worked satisfactorily for my needs. You don't know what you don't know, right?

    I already have a few of the JITA batteries, three 100Ah and two 200Ah on different builds.I agree that sending out a broken lug is a deal breaker for future purchases, but I would have liked to have seen what the BMS part numbers or specs were.
    Hopefully I don't have any broken studs inside...

    I've seen other youtubers disassemble a plastic shell on a battery and they used a vibrating trim cutting saw. Might be easier than the method shown here. I'm not saying one way is safer or better just sharing. Please keep those safety glasses on. Thank you for the video.

      I actually have one and have used it in a few videos. I had another project planned for this battery so I was trying to save the case.

    That's good crapsmanship, poor craftsman ship, maybe this happened after the QC inspection, but I don't see how, maybe it was inspected before going in the case, then the battery was dropped as in went in the case, and being in a rush they didn't see this, these ppl are working fast, like a ninja in a fight, surely this Isa one in a 100,000 defect, seems it still worked fine, being im in the shape I'm in, I'd definitely still use it, especially if I didn't buy it, I'm off grid, and definitely in need!! Have a great day!!

    Review the standard Weize 100Ah LiFePo4 Battery. It is now $299 since they came out with a heated battery for $369.

    is there a heating pad that functions inside the battery as they claim? it looks like I can see one but not sure. I have the 200AH and been running it for about 2 years so far.

  • @cmyanmar13

    There is another Chinese LiFePO4 maker which goes by names "TalentCell" and "YaBo Power". If you search for their batteries, they're a very similar branding style to this, complete with the light green horizontal arrows pointing inwards. Either JITA is again the same company, or one has ripped off the other's branding.

    Jeremy, out of curiosity, in your honest opinion do you think if you have two of the same batteries to test, teardown, and review, side by side, that both would be like this? I have gone back a watched all of your teardown vidz, and compared them to other fellas who are now doing theae teardown and reviews; have not seen anyone do two side by side. Thinking, sometimes you get a turd, sometimes you get the prize. With the world turning Chinese, I don't believe things will get better from here on, only gonna get worse.

    • @iceholepower8012
      @iceholepower8012  2 роки тому +3

      Interesting thought. If I had two of these batteries, I would not expect them to both have a busted bolt. BUT, the fact that the assembly guy AND the quality assurance checker let it go out the door like that tells a guy everything he needs to know about the craftmanship. I have said it before, I seem to get a lot of turds! Makes me think there are LOTS of poorly built batteries out there. Just the majority of them don't get opened up and as long as they charge and discharge, nothing seems wrong from the end user's prospective.

    Can you hook a AMG with a lifepo4 or should you get both lifepo4's first?

    • @iceholepower8012
      @iceholepower8012  2 роки тому +1

      Great question. You should not hook up a AGM to a lithium. Different voltage ranges. When hooking up two batteries, they should always be the same type, manufacture and amp hour rating.
