For me the decision was very clear. Used to play classic racquets for more than 30 years, the 16x19 seem to launch the ball up, while the 18x20 i can rip the ball with more confidence. It also maintains tension little bit better and the slightly higger swingweight hits the perfect spot for me. If you are looking for something a little more forgiving than a pro staff, but still very much control oriented, this is the way to go!
    Thanks guys for the video!

It's good that you qualified your statement by saying that that these racquets are identical "within Wilson's margin for error". Meaning they could be miles apart, given Wilson's atrocious quality control.

I had trouble keeping the ball inside the baseline with the 16x19. Bought the 18x20. Love it.

Makes sense - are you looking forward to the new one coming very soon?

@@ph-tennis I actually think the color shift V8 looks better than the Teal/Green V9 coming out!

I bought Wilson Blade v8, 16x19 in June. Never played better and won mine first turnement👍. I needed 4-5 months to get used to the racket. Gut in main and polyester in the crosses.

can you compare this wilson blade v8 100 with head speed mp. I'm planning to buy one of them but I'm undecided. at the same time, I am interested in whether it is worth buying the new speed 2022 or 2024? thank you

What string would you recommend? Blade V8 98 16x19. Looking for Feel, Spin and Control. Any Suggestions from Luxilon?

I think you guys are wrong about the fact that is if you are a hard hitter you need a power racquet, I have a full and fast swing and when I play with my Babolat Pure Drive 100 a lot of balls fly outside the lines and the control is terrible I feel. I switched to a 18x20 I can fully swing as I like and the ball doesn't fly out and the control is wayyyy better.

I also have a full lenght swing and want to change from Pure Drive.
I tried a Pro Staff RF97 and i felt much more control and the bh slice was much much better, but 340 weight was too much and didnt allow me to swing the arm as fast as i like.
Would you recommend me the Blade v8 16×19 as a compromise ? ( i like to play with topspin my fh so i'm scared of the 18×20)

yeah i use to think of it that way too, for example roger has excellent control and he uses a control racquet or for instance roddick has an explosive serve and uses a power racquet. but i recently swapped to an 18x20 and i hit way less long balls straight to the fence than i used to. so i'm in the school of thought that you should get a racquet that compensates your weaknesses instead of complementing your strengths.

@@gogogoup yeah i like to play explosive. In the end i switched to a head gravity pro 18x20 and it feel amazing. I can hit full power and the racket allow me that with the control it have
