Aight, really love how you still use the core samples from the original to maintain keeping it faithful, while updating the rest to modern potential, interesting take away from this
I wouldn't go as far to rank it at number 1 but the hate this temple gets is ridiculous, it's a great dungeon. They're all great. I'd rank them like this: 1. Spirit 2. Forest 3. Water 4. Fire 5. Shadow

Where did you disappear to??? This is literally the best remaster of this song ever made. It’s as if you took the old version, and make it 4K. Unreal. Incredible work man!
I recently did yet another replay of ocarina of time maybe my 7th time and just finished the water temple again, as I'm always lost and the nostalgia flows in the music always has me at peace, its such a catchy memorable melody and sends chills back to my childhood and im only 21 it has that effect on me. What a game!
wow! just WOW! how is the process of making these remasters? do you look for the original samples or instruments which sound similar? keep up the good work! it's really important to stay as true as possible to the originals. most remasters or remixes are very different and sometimes even destroy the feeling. a ocarina of time 3D mod which makes it possible to use your remasters would be a dreaaam!
thank you so much! I find whatever full-quality samples I can, and the rest are just the original samples that I tried remastering using various techniques. The main thing I focus on though is the mixing and making sure to fix the LCR mixing Kondo ended up using so much. The 3DS mod *might* become possible soon-ish but I’m not too sure on that. If it does become available, I’ll definitely check it out.
I think the Nintendo 64 used samples, not synthesizers. Zelda used sound fonts from various sample libraries, but I distinctly hear samples from the Yamaha DX7 synth on Super Mario 64. Time’s End from Majoras Mask is from a sound font library and Fire Temple chants are also from the same sound font library. Water Temple seems to be from a sample library called ‘Best Service Gigapack’. Hope this helps!
@@doctormeowstein777 This is helpful thank you. As I have been exploring older sample pack CDs I've been discovering a few sounds from other video games. While messing around with some old romplers some various STRING presets sound just like the pads from Time's End. If you have any more recommendations for sample CD libraries I would like to know
if you do the Fire Temple, would you do the "original" version (with the Islamic chanting) or the "revised" version (sounds more like Shadow Temple)? (EDIT: didnt realize you Already Did the Fire Temple...and its the Chanting version :D)
I can’t put it into words how amazing this is, how did you do this? Did you decompress the original or play it with the original instruments in the samples?
I’m part of a discord server that searches for uncompressed samples from video game soundtracks. I use them along with the MIDIs from the original game and try to mix it better. Sometimes there are some weird oddities in the original MIDIs that i have to go thru and fix, but other than those things, not much else. So yeah, glad you like it!
@@starbender5468 so then it is a true remaster in that it's the same elements in higher quality? I love how faithful it sounds. I was very disappointed by the quality of the soundtrack cd, especially the King Dodongo/Volvagia boss music. That could use a remaster as well.

Its a lot easier if you remember the secret room underneath the tower in the main chamber
This game is 22 years old and people are still making art and music for it. I guess Nintendo did something right.

Best temple in the game imo. Freaking fight me.
Agree completely. Aside from a scrappy game mechanic (which is irrelevant to how one should judge the temple), that place was beautifully designed.
