This is what people with normal 9-5 jobs don't understand why us who work from home can be working even at 2 am. Not because we have to but because we really enjoy it. Then they say When I'm 60 I'm gonna retire and it's gonna be the good life! I'm like well I will be working even at 80... Why? Because I love it and I don't want to retire and then be bored to death!

Loved the video, tasting the ramen from the pot to see if it is cooked 😂I do that too. Something that could probably help with the User interview and note-taking is to record the session, ask for permission from the user to record the session, and let the person know it is just for research purposes, there would be extra work as you have to go back to the recorded video to take insights later.
What advice would you give to help with social anxiety? I felt confident in my choice of career path but after seeing this I may have to work on improving my social skills. I would love some advice if anyone has suffered with this and work a job with a lot of meetings.
Hi! I was scrolling through and saw your comment; I relate to this as a graphic designer and educator. In my own life I've found it helps to first have 1-3 people you can lean on and share with. This could be a counselor, partner, sibling, friend, anyone you can be yourself around (or at least share with) so when you feel stressed in other social situations or feel down on yourself for not saying the right thing etc. You can go to them and know you are accepted and don't have to stress. It also helps tremendously to be open with someone about the anxiety. Trying to voice what it is can help you to understand it better. The best way I've found to improve my social skills is to face the anxiety/discomfort head-on. Start with small things like talking to others at work, the cashier at a grocery store or restaurant (even if it is just small talk) or anything that helps give you a chance to practice interacting. As you get more comfortable and see that these can be positive interactions, do a little more. Find a way to incorporate talking to a small group of people first, and continue to embrace the discomfort until you start to notice it is more manageable. Then repeat! I've learned that having a full-time job where I'm usually doing public speaking is not for me, but I'm way better at it than I was and my threshold for it has gotten better. I've also realized I don't have to be perfect and some days just suck, or I just suck, but I survived that day, and will try again tomorrow. You'll realize too that you can trust yourself; believing in yourself really does make all the difference. Sorry for the long reply- this has resonated with me a lot. I made a video about changing careers and getting into tech but I’d say teach yourself UX design fundamentals, figma, make a case study portfolio and approach other senior ux designers (linkedin) with the portfolio asking for advice (they will be able to give real advice on getting into the industry and might help you get a job). Hope that helps!

I love it and taking a new career path I’m 21 now and am almost ready to start applying for a remote position.. just want to know which browser you use the most often ❤❤

It’s not as scary as it seems! Usually it’s just with a client and it’s a way to help them understand the design process and break the ice before a project starts It’s not too often in my position 😊

I got into Ux design a weird way after university, I used to be a tattoo artist and studied business management! I’d recommend computer science or graphic design, then teaching yourself figma and sketch - ps Thankyou for watching
9 to 5 was the amount of time workers used to dedicate to a job, but capitalism noticed that they were paying for the lunch, how dare? then after that, the "normal" journey of work started to became 9 to 6 with one hour of non or payed lunch with such variations... but the term remained to express a job routine.

What?? Reading is one of the best ways to get to sleep. It’s even listed in self treatment by the NHS for insomnia: “relax at least 1 hour before bed, for example, take a bath or read a book”

For my work laptop I use safari mostly but I also check on chrome and brave ❤️
