Thanks for this info. I am on a diet med and watch my stats daily to ensure I don’t lose too much muscle. I didn’t understand skeletal muscle vs muscle mass. I went down muscle mass by 4 percent and up skeletal muscle by 5 percent. Kind of stumped about that.
Do you think there's any difference in accuracy with an ITO coating? Renpho has a £20 scale and £36 one with an ITO coating boasting more accuracy. Planning on keeping it awhile so if it is more accurate will consider the more expensive one.
Not sure. Unless you’re competing in a bodybuilding show I don’t think it’s that important to have extremely accurate numbers. I would probably just go with the cheaper one
@@TheFitChemist Thanks, no body building. Was not sure if it would help with the body fat % at all but then these type of scales have such an error margin as only doing your bottom half as you say its probably not worth worrying too much about accurate numbers, as long as they are consistent to pick up changes.
Not sure if you addressed it. I bought it to track muscle as I'm skinny and I'm trying to put in some pounds. I've heard reviewers say that scale only measures your lower body so does that mean the muscle mass number on the scale won't go up unless I'm gaining leg muscle? What about arms chest etc?

Just got my renpho scales. Thanks for this info and tips, very informative.
@@tanm-1991 you’re welcome!
We use the Renpho scale. It’s great. Really helps keep track of the essential measurements for weight loss.
I use the Renpho smart scales EM-CS20M (V1). I came here to understand the metrics better to aid weight loss.
Hope the video helped! Feel free to check out other videos on my channel
How to change primary user or change height of current primary user?
