Had same problem for some time. Finally got round to investigating. Can confirm bad connection between (black) battery connector socket and circuit board (connector hot to touch when tablet running). In trying to unplug battery connector, black socket broke away from circuit board very easily. Will now have to repair connection either as suggested here by soldering battery wires direct to circuit board or by somehow reattaching the original socket.
you guys that have very slow charge , usually my problem was the cable getting older (i guess they loose contact or something), and it would take forever to charge as you all say. changing the cable and also getting a fater and - or shorter cable worked just fine and better than the stock one . i also now use a bigger (in size) samsung adapter with 9 volts. now it charges 22 percent in an hour, or 11 percent in half an hour.
Hello, first of all, thank you for this beautiful video. When the tablet's charge drops below 55%, the screen begins to flicker. It is said that the reason for this is the battery connector in some forms. Do you think changing the battery will help? Is the problem in the battery connector?
Thank you for making this. I'm so upset. I cannot replace my own battery (soddering and using these tools) but I can convince Best Buy geek squad to do it for hopefully just the cost of the cheap battery. I'm.mad I used to have it covered by Geek Squad but I stopped renewing about 2-3 years ago.
👉👉👉Does anybody know how to upgrade the software to the latest version of Android? The lollipop version that's currently on there doesn't work for financial or banking site apps. How and where to update? Thanks in advance.
All fixed. I used superglue to securely attach the battery connector socket to the circuit board, then, with a fine tipped soldering iron, a hands-free magnifying glass and a bright light, I resoldered the circuit board connections. So no need to solder battery wires direct to circuit board, but you have to be reasonably good with a soldering iron.
I was wondering if it worked. i just bought a pro 12.2 and it takes too long to charge. like 16 hours! and if i'm using it plugged in it discharges instead of charging. i've read a little about that issue with the connecting to the board getting really tiny cracks in it that you have to use a magnifying glass to see. anyway, i've had it for the weekend so i'm taking it to a service place to see what they say & see if it's worth me paying to fix it or sending it back to the seller &getting another one, or maybe a Tab s 10.5. but i really like this one because it's the biggest.. i hope it's easy to fix i want to keep it so bad!! Good luck with yours i'll try to check back to see if you've made more videos. BTW i also notice the audio on mine is rather low. and it really bothers me! my son's cheap LG tab is louder & my cheap android phone from Metro PCS is much louder. i'll mention that to the tech tomorrow too.
miamidecor I have 10.5 tab and I have same problem. 3hrs on charge and only 60%, or turning off and on....bugger I will open it and soldier those connections !
I think the biggest issue is with Samsung, I truly believe they are aware of this issue with many of its tablets flickering. I contacted customer service and after opening my tablet 3 times they stated that their tests concluded nothing wrong with the tablet. This is a manufacturing issue, yet the customer is left to repair it themselves... Thanks Samsung.

The problem is the circuit board side of the connection. The connector on the battery itself typically isn't the issue

You Have you been using a Samsung charger? This tablet requires 2.4 amps to charge properly, and would charge better with 2.5 amps.
@@ANNEBOYD23 did you make a video on the repair? where did you connected the wires to, my connector came right off on the positive side
I watched both your videos, thanks for the info; my board terminal is broken at the mother board as well.
