Hey elgato wanna do a real upgrade for the next card? Just add one more HDMI IN port for us that uses a Hdmi camera with gameplay! I'm using a blackmagic card right now, but has weird bugs for gaming. 4K 60 fps for both signals. And mac compatible
That would make the Elgato Cam Link obsolete so they would knock one of their own products out of their lineup.
Just after I get the damn mk2 💀
This only passthrough 8K 60Hz, but captures 4K 60Hz just like Elgato 4K Pro Mark 2... which in terms of upgrading content quality, it's not worth buying.
The 4K X can actually capture in 4K 144Hz, this is an actual upgrade that may be be great, but not on UA-cam because it does not support more than 60Hz.. Kind of disappointing, the only real upgrade would be capturing in 8K 60Hz! But I'm gonna give the Elgato 4K X a try hoping that I can see some improvements, if the frames dropped while capturing it won't be noticeable.. hopefully UA-cam support 4K 120Hz soon, at least until the 8K capture card comes out!
4K X is strongly recommended because not only it's cheaper than 4k Pro, but also can record 4k 60fps in SDR mode while gaming in 4k 120Hz/144Hz passthrough, and the latency is actually really good (roughly 30-35 ms on average).
@@SabeameFantasy 35 ms of latency. Tests were done on EposVox's channel
PCIE > USB-C
yes, but you've mixed it up, it's not USB-C OR PCIE, the 2 ports are mini HDMI.
PCIE isn't something your plug in a cable, it's the slot on the motherboard you attach the card to, so your comment there doesn't make sense in context with the product.
@@xsm5525I think he means the 4K X vs the 4K Pro
More than 6 months
But still no update on Stream deck mobile Android 😢
EL GATO PLEASE GIVE US ONE WITH ATLEAST 2 HDMI INPUTS
use an 2.1 hdmi switch xd
@@DeusKele not sure how that would work with hooking up 2 cameras
@@RyanREAX 4 hdmi inputs cam link ?
To anyone using a Dual PC setup, I currently have my 4k PRO setup in a way where I'm playing at 120hz whilst capturing HDR 60fps. The trick is to use obs on both pc systems and use preview mode on obs on the gaming pc. Dont use duplicate,,, use display extend!! Finally got it working!
£280? ooffff, guess I'll have to save my pennies then!
Is there a real 4k 240hz and 8k 60hz pass-through that isn't a trick of the eye?
made by true gamers for hardcore gamers 🔥
no such thing as a hardcore gamer post 2010.
As the games coming out now are of, low quality.
Can you use this to capture gameplay on your Ipad pro?
can I use with OBS? the elgato sofware gives me migraines.
Yes
Absolutely, 4K Pro is fully compatible in your favorite software like OBS Studio, Streamlabs Desktop, Discord, and more.
@@elgato thank you for the response, I've been using your product since 2015 and it's just I get flashbacks when the footage gets corrupted, but happy it's compatible with OBS. keep up the great work guys💪👍

nice
I hope it is compatible with my Wii U.
Yes, 4K Pro is compatible with Wii U.
Слава Україгі, дякую за новий продукт
So question, if I get this for my streaming setup do I still have to turn the hdr off on my ps5?
Nope, you do not have to turn off HDR on your PS5 when using 4K Pro!
The 8K60 Pro✨✨✨
Soon : the 16K240 Pro
The 240K16 Ultra
My wallet has been waiting for you 😎😂
4K Pro has been waiting for *you*. 😂
Does someone know what is the latency of the passthrough ?
The latency of both 4K Pro and 4K X is around ~35 milliseconds, or two frames at 60fps. Note that this can vary slightly by setup and software used.
Take a look at this information from EposVox: ua-cam.com/video/BMEGV7ltc2Q/v-deo.html
Just order mine! 😊
I get the idea of future proofing but consoles can’t even do 4K60 yet, most games on console can’t do 30, usually it’s 1440/60. Even with a 4090 GPU, 8K60 is still not possible with most triple-a titles.
I was hoping for upscaling for lower res inputs and possibly more choices of older inputs so you are not tied to HDMI.
Does anyone know which one is better for recording video from a mirrorless/dslr camera?
Either Cam Link or 4K X work great for recording video from your camera.
@@elgato if I was trying to record talking head videos with the 4k pro, would I be able to record in 4k60?
Is it the upgrade Elgato 4K60 Pro Mark 2?
I have the exact one was curious to
In terms of capturing, doesn't seem like it.. only 8K passthrough
But the Elgato 4K X may actually be better, it captures 4K up to 144Hz..
The new 4k Pro still utilizes PCIe Gen 2 x4 interface instead of PCIe Gen 3 x4 interface which means it's a bit slower than 4K X. Hence, 4K X is a better option since it can record both 4k 144fps and 4k 60fps in SDR mode, although it can only 4k 30fps in HDR capture mode.

Awesome
well i just bought, hope you got the software dialed in and drivers.

@@elgato just ordered the 4k pro can't wait to finally upgrade from my 4k pro mk.2
Will still losing signal with ps5 frame rate change ?
Not if it's hdmi 2.1a
@@LayerZlayer2000 4K60 Pro losing signal when launch ps5 120hz games, because ui runs at 60hz, when you launch 120hz games signal loses and sometimes never back xd
I'm so confused. The 4k Pro uses PCIe Gen 2 x4 interface instead of PCIe Gen3 x4 interface. Does this mean 4KX is faster than 4k Pro internal capture card?
they use a interface that is only needed, look at old capture cards, they didn't use much. a super high end hollywood one, is only pcie x4 or x8 v 2.0 AJA Blackmagic and they dont even capture high frame rate. or variable frame rate, were getting alot, in comparison, and the price. wish they had a SDI version, since it is better and solid, and you can get custom cables at any length.
@@tek_soup Then I'll buy 4K X instead since it can record both 4k 60fps and 4k 144fps. I'm buying it right now!
double check all the specs, they are confuseing, im watching more videos, and i just bought both, the usb is technically newer chips, but i hate usb, nothing but trouble. eposvox has a video, im watching right now.@@SabeameFantasy
well i hope it works out for you, goodluck!@@SabeameFantasy
@@tek_soup Thanks
Hi I just want to know can I play in 4k 120fps and capture in 4k60fps in this capture card??
Yes
Elgato still makes the best capture cards in my opinion ❤🎉
