There were some books that I would classify as the 'worst of 2020' like The Poetry of Oscar Wilde (I felt like the poems were yelling at me, and I just did not get any enjoyment out of them). I only read one book from her which is Catwoman and I actually enjoyed that book, tbh but dang....
In all honestly, she’s not a perfect author but I think that some things get blown out of proportion *because* people don’t like her. So if you’re looking for a problem you’re always going to find one, you know? I also think that she gets a lot of bad mouthing for things that so many authors do that book tube still idolizes, which can be frustrating
It’s probably just mean being out of the loop.... but like I understand likingbor not liking an author like example JK rolling, but what did Sarah j maas do, like is she actually toxic or is it just because of the faerie smut?????
Whooo im early 👌 I meant to add in but life just took over my day, I hated Queen of Nothing (basically all of TCP books were crap. Nothing gets resolved realistically enough to be considered an end. Everything gets swept under a carpet of convenience and the war???? WHAT A JOKE! What war!?!?!?!?!😑😑😑😑) Also, as much as you love SJM, I just find her writing tiresome and repetitive. I feel she brings nothing new to her stories. We always have a hyper sexual bitch as her main character with some "powerful gift" that separates her from the others. Big whoop. Where have we seen that before? Oh yea TOG and ACOTAR. Like hello, can we have some species diversity or something???? Can she write anything else? SJM to me is just a one trick pony and House of Earth and Blood proved it to me. I will agree tho that anything Witcher is ❤ 🔥 I loved Blood of Elves 🙌
I actually really disagree with you saying you have to have a really good reason for loving something that might be problematic. You don’t need a reason to love anything at all and you definitely don’t need to explain yourself to anyone either. Love what you love ❤️

Detective 🕵️♀️
The Burning God is gonna break your heart....which is probably why you haven't read it xD I was laughing too much when I guessed your #1 book lmao. *how did I not know* idk, but every time Sarah J Maas writes a book, it's almost always controversial …why??? I only read one book from her which is Catwoman and I actually enjoyed that book, tbh but dang....
In all honestly, she’s not a perfect author but I think that some things get blown out of proportion *because* people don’t like her. So if you’re looking for a problem you’re always going to find one, you know? I also think that she gets a lot of bad mouthing for things that so many authors do that book tube still idolizes, which can be frustrating
@@BrittanytheBibliophile ahhh you know this makes sense
I know this has nothing to do with the video but where are your lashes from? 🖤🙈
Hahaha they’re my actual eyelashes 😅 with mascara!
@@BrittanytheBibliophile omg NO WAY 😭
where did you get those cute earrings?
regal rose!
If you’re going to unhaul some of the worst books, can we have an unhaul video?
I normally don't do unhauls since I have trouble parting from my books (smh) but if I do, I'll definitely record it!
It’s probably just mean being out of the loop.... but like I understand likingbor not liking an author like example JK rolling, but what did Sarah j maas do, like is she actually toxic or is it just because of the faerie smut?????
she doesn’t have much diversity in her books, and has problematic aspects (like sexual abuse) but she’s not terrible
miia backstrom oh ok I got it now thanks
Whooo im early 👌
I meant to add in but life just took over my day, I hated Queen of Nothing (basically all of TCP books were crap. Nothing gets resolved realistically enough to be considered an end. Everything gets swept under a carpet of convenience and the war???? WHAT A JOKE! What war!?!?!?!?!😑😑😑😑)
Also, as much as you love SJM, I just find her writing tiresome and repetitive.
Are you going to read octunnumi??
I haven’t heard of it!
@@BrittanytheBibliophile it’s really popular on booktok!!!
Lol “that time period in UA-cam history” still exists 🤣🤣🤣 almost everybody clickbaits.
I actually really disagree with you saying you have to have a really good reason for loving something that might be problematic. You don’t need a reason to love anything at all and you definitely don’t need to explain yourself to anyone either. Love what you love ❤️
love this ♡
