Oh man, I had covid too even though I was insanely careful. My dad was dying so I went to the hospital to be with him and that's all it took. That was the only place I went in like a year bc I work from home, and I wore a mask, and washed my hands like crazy. I even ordered groceries for delivery instead of going to the store. Sometimes its just not preventable. Im vaccinated now bc i do not want to contract it again. You seem really upset that you caught it, I was too. I hope you feel better, it took about 2 full weeks for me to start to feel normal. Dont be hard on yourself. Take vitamin D and C, it helps. Sending love.
Glad you recovered! I got it back in March 2020 and it took me a month to recover and I am still feeling some side effects! I have never quite recovered all my energy.
Thank you 🖤 and yeah, it was definitely upsetting but I just have to be happy that I’m mostly okay! It’s more upsetting being the careful people who caught it, you know? But nothing to do to change that 🤷🏼♀️
I got covid from absolutely nothing. It's scary how transmissible it is because I stayed home and got all of my groceries delivered but yet I still ended up contracting it from God knows where. Hope you recover quickly
So happy your ok!! I had gotten sick end of April, gave it to my husband and kids but everyone was so suprised that I was the one to get it. I was the only one wearing a mask at work, constantly sanitizing everything, hand washing constantly, all of it. As soon as I got off work I washed my hands and even bought face wash that claims to kill the virus. Still ended up sick. I still have shortness of breath every once in a while and chest pains. It was terrifying. I'm so happy your ok and hopefully you don't have lingering symptoms. ❤
I got sick near the end of January and I still struggle with lingering symptoms too! I feel like a wimp and I am judged, but I cannot get a good full breath and there are days I feel so weak I have to drag myself through the day. Hopefully we are all able to fully recover with time
When you held up The Lost Apothecary I yelled "Thank you!" I was so disappointed with this. The cover is beautiful too. I would have liked it more if she would have just stuck with the historical story and developed that more and then had a little wrap up with the present day history explanation..look what we found, etc, thing like at the end of The Handmaid's Tale. I gave The Last Apothecary 2 stars as well.
It's cool that you mentioned Emergency Contact, since I'm planning on that being my 'retreat book'. At my school, retreat is a yearly thing where all the students basically go to a camp for three days and chill out, and I always like bringing a book since people always ask what I'm reading, and it's a good conversation starter. Hopefully I won't be disappointed!
I’m glad you said that about the lost apothecary! I was gonna wait for the paperback to pick it up Bc I was envisioning the exact same thing you were😂 and I don’t like stories about pregnancy or wanting a baby. Soooo dodged that bullet haha
My most anticipated read for the year is The Hawthorne legacy (the sequel to The inheritance games), I loved the first book and I can’t wait for the second 🤩 I hope you’ll feel better soon! 🤗
Sorry you got sick, glad you're getting better. It's scary because even though I'm vaccinated I still wear my mask just in case. Growing up I read a lot too, way more than I do now and it's hard not to compare myself to back then. It's important to celebrate the small wins
I’m looking forward to the Righteous by Renee Ahdieh, Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson and Kingdom of the Cursed by Kerri Maniscalco. There are several others. Personally, my biggest surprise was Punk 57. I didn’t think I was going to love it as much as I did. That confrontation and final twist at the end was what really got me. It resonated with my literal soul lol
The sequel to the inheritance games, is what I’m so excited for (September 7th I have preordered) Also I started reading a court of silver flames and I got to about chapter 6 and couldn’t I love Sarah but like I can’t read through nestas point of view!!
some books I'm excited for in the 2nd half of 2021 are The Death of Jane Lawrence, which is a gothic horror with Crismon Peak and Rebecca vibes, How We Fall Apart, which is a YA asian dark academia mystery thriller, and also Empire of the Vampire; also one that came out at the end of June was The Things We Don't See by Savannah Brown, which is a YA summer mystery thriller set on a remote island and it has a podcast element to it 🥰 hope you feel better soon!
I’m looking forward to Lakesedge by Lyndall Clipstone and All Of Us Villains by Amanda Foody and Christine Lynn Herman. So far my favorite book of the year is definitely A Court of Silver Flames! I loved it so so much!
Oh I loved The Starless Sea! It did have a couple little issues for me but was so atmospheric and wonderful that I can look past them. It also kept me thinking about it for the longest time. As for my most anticipated release, I'm excited for Once Upon A Broken Heart by Stephanie Garber, purely for my love of Jacks from the Caraval series (even though I didn't LOVE the last book). The Last Graduate, Empire of The Vampire, Shadow in The Ember, Portrait of A Scotsman and Well Matched are all up there as well on my list.
My most anticipated release is Beautiful World, Where Are You by Sally Rooney! I also just bought the Final Girl Support Group by Grady Hendrix and I'm really excited to read that as well since I loved the Southern Book Club's Guide to Slaying Vampires. Feel better soon!
I've already read 75 books this year and for me also These Violent Delights was the best book so far! And as for my most anticipated releases I'd go with "Kingdom of the Cursed" by Kerri Maniscalco, "Our Violent Ends" by Chloe Gong, "Empire of the Vampire" by Jay Kristoff, "The Bronzed Beasts" by Roshani Chokshi", 'Vespertine" by Margaret Rogerson, "A Dance with the Fae Rogue" by Elise Kova, "You've Reached Sam" by Dustin Thao and "The Righteous" by Renee Ahdieh :)
I'm also excited for "The Last Graduate" to come out but my most anticipated release is "Cytonic" by Brandon Sanderson. I have legit been counting down the days until it comes out!
I'm reading Sword of Destiny (I'm near the ending) and I'm loving Geralt of Rivia world, I'm very exciting to watch The Witcher again in December. I love your edition of The Last Wish, is wonderful
Win night breaks is the second book in the duology of where dreams descend is what I'm looking forward to Also I understand that books and lala doesn't like the book horrid and I absolutely love it it's one of my favorites lol 🤣
Ooo I’ve been wanting to read horrid!! I love books and Lala but I feel like she and I have such different tastes 😂 like I rarely love the things she loves, but I can hear her talk about them all day!
My brother gave me covid back in January, I was pretty safe, but he is a grocery store worker... he ended up getting it and giving it to me. Now, almost 7 months later, I still have symptoms I'm dealing with but finally almost back to normal (Parosmia sucks)
I was also super careful masks and used disinfectant all the time after touching things and disinfecting my car seats and steering wheels and buttons and I still got it too and that brain fog lasted for a good 2 months for me
I am really excited for A Lesson in Vengeance by Victoria Lee which is a dark academia haunting story with a sapphic relationship. I also am looking forward to Where the Drowned Girls Go by Seanan McGuire partly because I love the wayward children series and also the title is promising an ocean story which is something I am into and I am hoping that Cora will get her happy ending in this book. I also am wanting A Psalm of Storms and Silence by Roseanne A.Brown because I deeply enjoyed A Song of Wraiths and Ruin and I am a little bummed that it isn't out yet. I feel like there are more, like Vespertine by Margaret Rogerson and Alls Well by Mona Awad, but they are slipping from my mind is all. I hope you feel better soon.
Oh no, I hope you feel better soon! I go through phases where I’ll read 16 books in a month and then there are months like June where I read only 5 books 😂
ahh that makes me sad for the Lost Apothecary; it's on my tbr but hearing about the pregnancy--I also don't like books revolving about that--ahh, that makes me sad 😅
I agree with you with The Lost Apothecary! It was just soooo disappointing... I really felt the present day part was veeeery weak! It didn'T bring anything to the story! I feel like it would've been a way better book if the present day POV wasn't there at all.... Take care of yourself and hopefully you'll feel better soon!
Hey, the Lost Apothecary was the most disappointing book of 2022 for me so far! The good reviews puzzle me, it felt like the plot wasn't fully fleshed out. Luckily, I checked it out from the library so I wasn't out any $$
Im not judging or anything but I think it’s just me but Golden Son and Morning Star are in the wrong order right? I don’t know why that caught me eye and I’m not sure if you notice or not but I just wanted to tell you
Oh noooo, yeah that tends to happen at random. It’s UA-cam getting rid of ‘bots’ supposedly, but I feel like they always unsubscribe people that actually still want to be subscribed lol
would Love to see a acosf reading vlog from you!!

I am so sorry about your dad! I hope you get your energy back… I also had Covid and feel tired all day long…

For the starless sea I do recommend reading along with the audiobook It makes it easier it's a complex story but I enjoyed it
Oooo good to know!
When you held up The Lost Apothecary I yelled "Thank you!" I was so disappointed with this. The cover is beautiful too. Yes!!! Agreed!! Plus I would’ve liked more of the badass history of the apothecary, like tidbits and stories, versus just the one overarching story
❤️❤️ would love to see that ACOSF vlog!! Enjoyed this video, I’ve been on a bit of a withdrawal from your videos lol
It's cool that you mentioned Emergency Contact, since I'm planning on that being my 'retreat book'. I loved The Starless Sea
Lair of dreams is my favorite book of the year so now I HAVE to read these violent delights lol
I’m glad you said that about the lost apothecary! I was gonna wait for the paperback to pick it up Bc I was envisioning the exact same thing you were😂 and I don’t like stories about pregnancy or wanting a baby. Soooo dodged that bullet haha

I am so sorry, same with me I was super careful and got sick too .
The Lost Apothecary was my biggest disappointment as well! It wasn’t all I expected it to be and that was a let down.
Sending you so much Britt! I also got sick wearing full PPE at work and still caught and was insanely careful. Hope you feel better very soon 💕
I’m so glad you posted this today! I had been looking to sign up for book soon of the month but wanted to use your code to give you credit :)
Aww thank you for this 🖤

I really really think you will LOVE the starless sea and the audio book is soooo good as well 😭😭
Also so excited for The Last Graduate to come out! Loved A Deadly Education so much!

I’ve actually read it!! But I haven’t continued with the series yet ☺️
Hope you are feeling better!
Wow I’m so excited to watch this! 🥰🥰💖💖
I would love to see a ACOSF I’m almost done it myself. 😊
Gotta be honest, I was also disappointed by The Lost Apothecary, so you're not alone.
Third Kiss Quotient book is coming out!!
Feel better soon🖤🖤
Damn, I hope you feel better soon! At least you’re at your Momma’s! I’m sure she’s the best caretaker.
Haha she is!! But definitely has had to keep her space and keep working.
ahh that makes me sad for the Lost Apothecary; it's on my tbr but hearing about the pregnancy--I also don't like books revolving about that--ahh, that makes me sad 😅
I’m the same way but I still really liked the story and thought it was done well by the end!
@@alixboyer8202 ooo maybe I should try it out!
gran video como siempre!! mejorate pronto!! saludos y besos desde Argentina!!
Your voice is supposed to be annoying when you’re sick but damn I love your voice😍
Get well soon☹️❤️
I hope you feel better! Just curious, were you fullt vaccinated when you got sick?
I agree with you with The Lost Apothecary! It was just soooo disappointing... I really felt the present day part was veeeery weak! It didn'T bring anything to the story! I feel like it would've been a way better book if the present day POV wasn't there at all.... Take care of yourself and hopefully you'll feel better soon!

Omg, you’re totally right 😅 I think I was focused on the colors when I put it in and just completely missed that, thank you for pointing it out!
Get well soon, drink a lot of hot Téa with lemon! It will help a lot
❤️❤️❤️
🖤🖤✨
Yessss TVD is so great
Brittany, UA-cam unsubscribed me somehow!? So strange, glad I noticed x
Also hope you feel better 🤍
Oh noooo, yeah that tends to happen at random. It’s UA-cam getting rid of ‘bots’ supposedly, but I feel like they always unsubscribe people that actually still want to be subscribed lol
