You’re the first person that I’ve seen read more than one book that came from Book Of The Month. I was really starting to think they must be really terrible books because no one seemed to want to read them all 😉
omg no!! in the beginning of the video when you said your birthday month I was like oh wow it is august and then I remembered that I watched your video where you talked about your tattoo you got and how it was your birthday and I was like freaked out because it seemed like literally a month ago I watched that video but it was a whole year ago. also I'm a senior in high school and idk why but I feel like this school year is going to go by so slow but now that I realized that I watched this video last year then that means that this year is going to go by so fast and then this time next year I'm going to be a freshman in college. anyways if you've read this thanks for reading my mental breakdown :)
I HAD EXACTLY THE SAME EXPERIENCE WITH SOUR, I literally find a song that I like and I don't tend to search other songs from the album or the artist that belongs to, but with sour I like ALL of the songs from the album🤌🤌
Hey girly, I am only like 10 min into your vlog but you were saying you wanted a good thriller. I would suggest the end of her , it’s by the same author of the couple next door. I can’t think of the name right now. I just read it for book club. It’s so good. It threw me for a loop. I almost read it all in one sitting, you gotta give the first 10 pages a chance and then you will be hooked. Also I would recommend: the end of men by Christina Sweeney- Baird I hope this help. I hope you have an amazing week! 💕
Don’t know how to explain this but you make me feel so safe and like at home haha I love your recommendations and videos and overall vibe! You are so awesome ♥️
Have you read ACOSF yet? Also, Once There Were Wolves is incredible - it's a really beautiful and haunting novel about who we choose to protect and what we choose to let go.
I love your reading vlogs so much 🤍 none of my friends read so seeing you talk about books makes me so happy lol it makes me so thankful for book tube!! also I use goodreads a lot to decide what to read next so I really appreciate you updating yours and leaving reviews 💜
SO SO glad I found you. Instant sub. Love the way you discuss books and your vlogging style. Also you discuss titles I haven’t seen discussed anywhere else on booktube (I checked Goodreads and they are indeed not very popular), so thank you for introducing me to these rare picks that could potentially be gems! Your mellifluous voice and stunning looks are the cherry on top.
Idk why I was shocked when you said "Damn" lol but I loved it!!!! I don't know what I should read next, I'm deciding between Wicked Fox and The Unhoneymooners
What the author did with Leave the World Behind, how he put the reader in the shoes of the characters, and the omniscient narrator (they do give you enough info about what ended up happening) I think was brilliant. He wanted things to be a little vague so you feel the way the characters do. It left me very unsettled for days.
I too have been on a string of bad or at least mediocre thrillers, so I went to put The Good Sister on hold when you were talking about it, only to find that my library has a 6 month wait for the audiobook. Ah well, perhaps there will be another great thriller to find before then. I actually own Girl A and have been wanting to read that one, but maybe I'll hold off for a little while and read something hopefully a little more concrete.
So what do you do when you buy a book that you hate? Are you someone that can't get rid of books because you love books in general so much or are you able to let the bad ones go? I feel like I might need to purge my shelves but I find it really hard lol
I have a hard time getting rid of things in general lolol so I keep everything and even when I tell myself I’m getting rid of something, it still somehow ends up in storage
lol, I’m still on my 2nd book for august, just need to sit down one night and get into it - happy you’ve gotten past the reading slump! Hope the month finishes on the positive :)
currently reading Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao. Chinese courtesans piloting giant mechs to save their country. Not far enough in to say whether I like it or not, but the concept is pretty cool
I have a very good question to you. When you buy a book/books from Book of the Month, do you keep them forever or return them back once you're done reading them? I would like to buy a book or books from Book of the Month. Please and Thank You
Ok you've definitely inspired me to pick up The Girl in the Mirror. I love Salky Hepworth so The Good Sister is a must read for me too. I interviewed Sally Hepworth a while ago and she's such a lovely person, too! Such a pity about Leave The World Behind.. I recently purchased and it tried the first chapter for a Try a Chapter tag video but it didn't really capture my attention. I did actually really love People Like Her, always interesting to hear completely different opinions haha.
I haven’t read the girl in the mirror but it’s giving me Emma I’m the night vibes. It was one of my BOTM pick and it was soooo good. I recommend you pick it up! 😊
I really want to read The Unravelling of Cassidy Jones. Most recently I finished Rebecca by Daphne Du Maurier and Cursed: A Wish is a Terrible Thing which is an anthology of gothic fairy tales (sort of).
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like the whole baby concept in books and everything, nothing against it but I just feel like women can do so much more than just have kids and everything
A good thriller I read recently is called 'Two Can Keep a Secret if One is Dead'. It is soooooo good! It's by Karen McManus (the author of one of us is lying)
Tbh, epilogues ruin books for me. I was thinking about that the other night, if there is an epilogue, something usually happens in there and then I usually reduce the book rating by a star. Not always, but it happens a lot. Editing this to also say I personally hated Too Good To Be True - it has epilogue as well lol. I listened to the audio book and the audio was the only reason I got through it!
🤔 Maybe the lack of desire to read about pregnancy/ motherhood is a stage of life thing. I LOVE books about those things because I am a mom. Alas, there aren’t many good ones.
Yeah, they never officially state anything besides “sensory issues” and so even though it seemed like she could be autistic- I don’t want to assume if the author never told us.
People like her was SUCH a good and scary premise, but the villain was so unbelievable that I really couldn’t suspend my disbelief for it tbh

somehow you always post your videos at the perfect time, when i’m mindlessly scrolling looking for something to watch. i love it 🖤

My favorite thriller/murder mystery novelist is Tana French! The Witch Elm is particularly spooky and mysterious!
I’ve been on a serious romance kick lately! I’m blowing through Tessa Dare’s novels like they’re nothing!
Tessa Dare is amazing 😍😍
You should read everything, everything by Nicola Yoon! Its one of my favorites!
@@emilyfuhrmann2486 I have! It’s really good.

yesss i’ve been so excited for this!! and great job reading 8 books, it feels so nice to get out a reading slump :)
I agree with leave the world behind. I had to put it down because I couldn’t get into it. I feel like everyone feels the same about this book.
I LOVED Leave the World Behind

This week I’m reading the unlikely hero of room 13b! It’s actually pretty good, talks a lot about a boy that was diagnosed with ocd!
So happy vlogs are back !
Glad you're getting to your BOTM books!
Zoraida Córdova's new book is actually continuing on from a short story she has in a book called Toil & Trouble
AHHH I missed your vlogs, I'm so glad you liked a lot of the books you read!
This was a great reading vlog! I’m currently reading Beach Read and I’m loving it!
currently reading Iron Widow by Xiran Jay Zhao. Chinese courtesans piloting giant mechs to save their country. Not far enough in to say whether I like it or not, but the concept is pretty cool
I want to read the heart principle so badly 😩
Have you read No Exit? I'm curious your thoughts on it. I thought it was a good thriller.
I haven’t!
I have a very good question to you. When you buy a book/books from Book of the Month, do you keep them forever or return them back once you're done reading them?
I would like to buy a book or books from Book of the Month.

I am reading verity which you may like… but honestly it was great to watch you before going to bed!
Have you read any of Riley Sager's Thrillers?
I haven’t read the girl in the mirror but it’s giving me Emma I’m the night vibes. It was one of my BOTM pick and it was soooo good. I recommend you pick it up! 😊

Hey is your full review of The Girl in the Mirror in another video because I don't see it listed in the 'books mentioned' section? Ta :-)
I read it in July! So, not in this video, but I haven’t filmed my recent reads video yet lol
8 books? Productivity queen😍, please send me some via thoughts cause I am struggling to ultra read before uni🥲
I'm so glad I'm not the only one who doesn't like the whole baby concept in books and everything, nothing against it but I just feel like women can do so much more than just have kids and everything

Hi good book review today .
I'm Reading The Prince of Thorns 😬☺️
great video!! congratulations for the 8 books!! you look very beautiful in each clip!! kisses from Argentina!!
I clicked as fast as I could 😅🖤😂!!
I read 9 currently reading 3
PLEASE READ THE INHERITANCE GAMES, TRUST ME!!
I couldn't get into "people like her" I put it down at like 38 pages..
Your spanish is beautiful
ok is it just me or did the whole vid looks likes pastel-ish/aesthetic?
🤔 Maybe the lack of desire to read about pregnancy/ motherhood is a stage of life thing. I LOVE books about those things because I am a mom. Alas, there aren’t many good ones.
Have you read leaving time by Jodi picoult? There’s a lot about motherhood and I loved it so much. It’s one of my favorite books
It sounds like one of the sisters could be either autistic or have a disability in that area related to it, I’m very intrigued in it.
Yeah, they never officially state anything besides “sensory issues” and so even though it seemed like she could be autistic- I don’t want to assume if the author never told us.
@@BrittanytheBibliophile that's absolutely fair, thanks the recommendation though!
