Love your videos and I couldn’t help but read a comment in here, that says your videos are “too long”?! Seriously, don’t mind that. The longer, the better 😃👍 keep up girl!
i feel like renegades gets SUCH mixed reviews, honestly i’ve heard more negative things than good but every time you talk about it i’m tempted to give it a try even though i already unhauled my copy lol
Oh my God. I remember reading The Poppy War on audiobook and I was trying so hard to not cry about it. I just can't read anything about war, historical fiction or not. My review was a mess, lol but damn. And I'm surprised that Queen of Nothing or the Saga was #1 haha but gurllll, you gotta start playing Kingdom Hearts and Legend of Zelda!
Song of Achilles is one I have been wanting to read for a while now! I still need to read the Cruel Prince, I keep hearing that the 2nd book is the general favorite, and since I love morally grey characters I think I will enjoy it once I finally pick it up. Crown of Feathers was one of my favorites I have read recently actually, and I am super excited to pick up the next one very soon!
I've almost finished The Cruel Prince and I love it. I get what you are saying about morally grey characters and I'm still not sure about the bully/victim romance trope this has but for some reason I can't hate Cardan because of everything he goes through in the first book. I really don't like Taryn because what she did is inexcusable in my opinion. I only have like 30 pages left and I'm curious how it ends but I already know that I want to read The Wicked King and Queen of Nothing and have already ordered them. Are you planning to read Queen of Nothing this year?
@@carolinetaylor3069 She just seems so weak compared to Jude. No definitely not my favourite. I've finished it now and I was shocked by the ending but I can see why it had to end like it did.
I just finished The Witcher (show) on sunday, that i started on friday lol, and immediately bought The Last Wish that night. I was trying to dip my toes in adult fantasy but i think i just swan dived lolol but i couldn't be more excited!!
So many of these books are on my tbr. I need to get reading but also I have a lot of studying to do, yet here I am on UA-cam. Oh well I guess I’ll start prioritizing tomorrow
It's okay Brittany, I haven't read Queen Of Nothing yet either.. I want to but I haven't been able to bring myself to do so. Also, I'm reading Crown Of Feathers right now!
Okay I read the whole folk of the air trilogy within the last month and I NEED MORE. I need at least one more book. I wont go into much since there are people who havent read it. BUT I NEED MORE. queen of nothing left me on the floor at the end.
I also read The Last Wish this year and I loved it! Now I am thinking about read the Cruel Prince books and maybe the Crown of Feathers since you seemed pretty awed about those books and that made me very curious about it.
The Poppy War sounds SO good. I am currently reading Crown of Feathers and really enjoying it. My favorite book if last year was definitely Heroine by Mindy Mcginnis. I highly recommend checking it out!
I immediately subscribed❤ I love your personality because you are so real😊❤ also, you have really good taste in books! Okay, going to binge watch your videos now😂💕
I don't know why but while i reading the Nevernight I pictured Ashlinn as you. I mean she looked like you in my head. I know it's weird but I know you love Nevernight so my brain made a weird connection lol 😂( by the way my English isn't that good so I hope you understand what i meant)
YAAAAAY. Been waiting for this video. I found some really good books from you. Have to say I'm surprised I didn't see Read, White, & Royal Blue from you. That was one everyone. Especially mine. That was number.....5 of my fav reads of 2019 1). Kingdom of Ash 2). Defy Me (I fucking loved it) 3). Serpent & Dove 4). The Gentleman's guide to getting lucky 5). Red, White, & Royal Blue
I have a question: I've been drawn to read The Cruel Prince series by Holly Black since it came out but I've been holding off because I've heard that its within the same universe as her other books and I'm afraid I'd miss details if they're tied together in anyway. My question is: is that series tied to any of her other series and/or can it be read without having read any of her other books? help please 😊😂
I'm on the second Monstress graphic novel right now... and I am finding it VERY confusing lol. It's good but extremely complex for a graphic novel. But I'm going to stick with it because it's very interesting...but I have to read them slowly to follow them lol.
I'm not sure if you have ever read it or not. But I would recommend The Child Thief by Brom. It's a Peter Pan retelling m, but it's a dark book. I didn't read it in 2019 I actually read it a few years ago, but I'm planning on re-reading it this year.
You definitely inspired me to read Monstress I finished the first one already it’s so good I can’t wait to move to the next one. A graphic novel I recommend is Cosmoknights by Hannah templer the art style and story I think you’ll love
I still haven't watched the Witcher on Netflix yet idk whats wrong with me lol. But your enthusiasm about the books and the games makes me want to watch it! I'll eventually pick up the books after >:)
Idk why but I just couldn't finish Red Rising, I listened to the audiobook of it and I got to that part where they were all training in that huge field area for some capture the flag type thing. It felt like that part just would. Not. End. I eventually just lost interest at that part and never finished it
I love the Witcher series so much I'm re-reading them via audiobook and I only read them last summer 😂🙈 Sword of Destiny I gave five stars to after listening to the audiobook; it's incredible! I've finished the main game too just one DLC to go. And then I think I'm going to play it again from the start 😂🙈 #obsessed
I loved Jude and Cardan and all of the main "protagonists," but I did not like Taryn. And I went to Holly Black's Queen of Nothing tour (where I got to meet her btw, she's so nice!) and apparently we're not supposed to hate Taryn which is awkward for me haha
No I love morally gray characters I just think the first book In the folk of the air series had zero plot I didnt connect to any of the characters and the hype half ruined it because it increased my expectations to a level they never should have been at

I'm still so emotional about Song of Achilles! 😭 One of my fave books
The quote from the Renegades is basically Dumbledore's “It is our choices that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities.” 🙈
okay i really want to read the read rising series now! after you and Tashapolis recommending it im convinced
Love this video so much but BRING ON THE WORST OF 2019, we need the tea. 😂💕🐍💙
I read some amazing books in 2019. Best among them were Norwegian wood, Ikigai, Voyagers of Hell and hippie.

I don't like Taryn either! I also thought that what she did was inexcusable. I didn't bother to read her novella.
@@carolinetaylor3069 She just seems so weak compared to Jude. No definitely not my favourite. I've finished it now and I was shocked by the ending but I can see why it had to end like it did.

I need to know if you liked the rest of the books in the renegades trilogy. I felt that it def stretches the plot far to much.
