You have amazing hair! I would highly recommend watching Atoya Bass's actual routine which she has on her UA-cam. She's a curly hair specialist who does this routine on all her clients. She has long hair too but not as long as you. Your hair is super long and high density so trying to coat it is not easy so I understand why you don't like this method.

It did! I definitely had more knots closer to the nap of my neck, just from the upside down styling

I can’t just because my hair is so long, but some women who have shorter hair can! Just a trial and error process
