I loved the ‘57 Lincoln a lot too. You have great taste! The Parklanes were also fabulous. I loved the photos of the family with the car over it’s life. The Desoto! Unrestored! So many great cars. I love going to this show every year!
That was a great show this year; I was there probably about the same time as you, on Friday evening. Good to see an old friend (Janice Sutherland) and her Hemi Superbird on display. Plus, I had several models in the Model Car Contest!
Brother I sure do appreciate you taking me to the Autorama! You and I have the same taste in cars. I really enjoyed your commentaries. I wish I could be there with you!
Hey Steve from pro comp custom here . The blower on the 47 Ford is real and works with hilborn efi. Bruce Harvey painted both the Willy's jeep and the 47 Ford. Right in glenshaw Pittsburgh.

Great video, thanks for all of the great shots of the cars. I really enjoyed seeing the display of the Most Significant Hot Rods on the big white square. They should have put the information signs closer to the edge so you could read them easier.

Thanks for sharing the autorama video. I was going to ask what day you were going, I had planned on driving to it from Pennsylvania, but the snow changed my mind. (I am a truck driver and deal with enough snow as it is.) Maybe next year..
some really nice cars there...but being the merc guy that i am i have to vote for the 2 /64 mercs,,and the one from the worlds fair is just way to cool ..i love it that it survived...i will be in detroit in july...i cant wait to see cocbo hall ..the packard plant and so many other things to see...good video my man
By the way, the old "Packard Proving Grounds" in Utica (22 Mile and Van Dyke area) has a big car show every year. I think for a fee, you can drive on the track with your classic. I drove the Bel Air on the test track... many many years ago.

Yea, it was Friday evening... not a lot of people off work yet. Plus I-75 going into Detroit is closed this weekend.... it's one of the most major routs from the northern suburbs to downtown. Bet it is crowed Saturday and Sunday tho.
@@OldCarAlley Our car club, Pioneer Antique Auto Club from Parkersburg, WV, has chartered a bus and made the trip for several years. This was my fifth trip. We arrive Friday about 2 PM and stay until 7PM I believe. We spend the night then return early Saturday morning and then head out around 4PM. Makes for a fun trip and that is about all us "old folks" can stand. We have also visited the GM Heritage Center and The Henry Ford Museum some years. And thank you for the video, helps me remember what a good time I had. Lotta nice Model A hot rods this year.
@@divcodave I have stayed overnight in Parkersburg.... It's a nice town. The cool old museum downtown was closed when I was there. Maybe next trip threw, I will try to visit it, when it's open.
Ieft in my nova burnig rubber thought i was cooll good time dreaming of a sweet ride and sweet giri i had good times looks dead comparied to back in 80s
Dave put it back together with new lifters, and the intake leak fixed.... still ran bad. He's taking it to another engine rebuilder, to check it out. Maybe a tooth off valve timing. or maybe a bad cam grind.... who knows. We will find out tho. The place he has it now, will dyno run the engine, before reinstalling it.
Hey, didn't you say you detest car shows? I seem to recall you saying it was like watching paint dry. Correct me if I'm wrong, ha ha. No big. You must have done what Tricky Dick Nixon used to do and say he "mis-spoke". BTW, this was a great video. Love all those original and custom cars.
Yes, I very much dislike "entering cars" into shows.... I don't mind going, looking then leaving. When you enter a show, your kinda stuck there all day, and it can get very boring. When I use to go, I would sit and think about the things I could be doing, other than nothing. Plus I am not into PAYING money to someone, thats charging money, to look at my car. Even charity shows, someone is lining there pocket. Only one dollar needs to got to a charity, to state it's a charity show, here in Michigan. The last show I entered a car in was, a good 25 or 30 years ago. It was a charity benefit show for Leader Dog for the Blind. The host (won't mention his name) of the show pocketed nine out of every ten dollars, from that show. Thats not uncommon. For that reason, I no longer enter shows! Cruise nights.... yes. There FREE, and it's come and go as you wish. No one is lining there pocket off my classic car at them either. I know a lot of others in the car hobby, that don't enter cars into shows for the very same reason.
@@OldCarAlley Yeah, I feel the same way. I do enjoy taking friends to car shows on warm, sunny days with the top down, however. And that's why I didn't buy an old Mustang convertible.
@@OldCarAlleyI hit the pause and read that whole trailer sign. Beats having an extra few minutes of still footage if someone isn't interested. Nice stuff there.
This is a dying thing young people are not interested in cool cars when i went in 80s it was packed with people we smoked some weed went in and dreamed of winning a 63 split window that WRIF was giving away lol
I went on Saturday and it was absolutely packed - tons of cars, tons of people, all ages. The car hobby is more diverse and inclusive than ever - this is a golden age - the new performance cars are amazing, the parts supply for older had never been better and there are more genres than ever. I saw drift machines, rat rods, high end stuff, art, apparel, collectibles. If you haven’t gone, make the trip to Detroit Autorama!!
I seems the more lights on your car the better it looks and when you have to name your wife on the Tag, that you are old and spent way too much money on the Efin display.

Yes, I need to get a camera with image stabilization.
Great to see the cars you focus on a sign then move on and very unsteady Have a look for yourself we can improve Adam

What was the gray car with the fins
If your talking about the gray wagon, it is a 1960 Plymouth Fury, it's at around 32 minutes.
Nice I got some vids from the show 2 their up on my yt Channel rn
