I would tell the kids to look over the shoulder of their partner. the person looking at you is your next partner. Point to your partner, point to your next partner. practice that a bit.
I'm late to this, but I use a tape circle as an aid, similar to the video. I tell the students to imagine we are trains on a track. We need to move forward, but we don't want to crash into each other. So we go around our partner. But trains can't change directions, so we won't either. I demonstrate this with a student. I ask everyone if my partner and I are face to face or back to back, and they tell me back to back. I don't tell them about their new partner at all. We practice this move all together as if the move is simply us getting back-to-back with our partners. Then, I ~reveal~ that their new partner is the person right in front of them.
