I would anticipate that Ram will offer the HO as an option in Big Horn and Laramie in the near future, the big question is, what happens with running standard 87 octane in the HO?
Ram not offering the HO in a big horn pisses me off like nothing else. I own a 2019 hemi and I'll never buy a Ram again while they play these infuriating games.
Give it time I bet they offer the HO. Many other companies didn’t allow premium engines in lower trim levels in the past. I bet they do soon if people really want the HO
I feel the same tired of the ram 1500 getting crapped on when the stick the 6.4 I'm everything and ram had the same 5.7 hemi they had a chance to make up for it and what do they do? Only offer ho on high trims, bs.
@@MTLRam25 The SO is a much cheaper built engine than the HO. They share displacement but the HO has far better built and stronger internals. IF I were to get a hurricane, the HO is the only one I'd consider. But that aside, it's a greedy decision from Ram; you can't have the most powerful engine you want/need unless you spend 20 to 30k more than you actually need, just to get into the proper trim first where its available. Its corporate greed, nothing more, and it pisses me off. Ram used to be the value purchase a few years ago, you always got more truck for your dollar than from Ford or GM. Now its the otherway around. Ford pretty much lets you get whatever engine you want regardless of trim, last time I checked anyway.
I'm with you. I think it is a big miss for Ram compared to competitors in the full-size segment. I thought with the new 14.4-inch display they'd squeeze a button somewhere. Maybe the next gen Ram after this one will have it. Tactile interface is not underrated.
you do some of the best deep dives on these trucks. Well done.

That my friend is a great question and for a video to come soon!

The SO still has more HP and torque…confused on the problem.

V6 E TORQUE JUST MAKES SENSE 305 HP. IN A 1500 ALL YA NEED UNLESS YOUR HEAVY HAULING.
Thats a great engine also. If you dont tow much, or heavy or free way towing its all you need.
Yup very reliable motor.

I can’t believe it’s still not there. I hope they have something planned.
Lane assistant was not turned on on the SO truck.
I kept playing with it but couldnt seem to get it to work the same 🙈
