I recommend getting 7 mil or 9 mil thickness nitrile gloves.
I've used those thin 5 mil ones while working on rusty cars for 20 years and they tear so easily. I got a box of 9 mil and they're AWESOME!!! They last MUCH longer for about 2-3x the price of 5 mil.

Jedino rešenje je ponovno premotavanje rotora. Sve drugo je kratkog trajanja, što se vidi na videu da rotor i dalje varniči a sigurno neče dugo trajati !

Given a choice you want a flat sharp tool (think tiny chisel) to clean out the commutator rather than a pointed one.

They make commutator draw blades just for that purpose. I got carried away once on a GM starter and went pretty deep. Sounded like a Mopar starter afterward....lol.Chinese-made router....commutators are cheap if available.

That is a hit or miss thing. I had this defect three times. This repair worked once. Be happy when it does. It's a decent machine!
But I'm not a fan of applying solder to the rotor. That beast rotates FAST. If you get it out of balance, it will quickly vibrate itself to death.

    • @sonicdewd
      @sonicdewd 13 днів тому

@@savinocueva5207 Just buy a two-prong plug with screw lugs, a socket with pigtails (wires) with an E12 sized socket, an _incadescent_ bulb (oder online, 25w, 40w, 60w, choose), two meters of same gauge wire that the socket has, and some wire nuts for your gauge wire.
Cut wire into two pieces of one meter apiece. Cut _one_ of the pieces in half to make 1/2 meter pieces. Strip to accept wire nuts. Strip pigtails on socket. Install in this order:
      • Take plug in hand (access one prong's screw lug).
      • Take 1 meter wire piece. Screw to plug lug screw.
You are done with one prong. That now is one complete test lead.
      • Take plug in hand (same plug, but will be using other prong).
      • Take 1/2 meter wire, screw to plug's other lug screw.
      • Twist one pigtal stripped end to other stripped end of 1/2 meter wire, and then install wire nut.
      • Twist other pigtal onto other 1/2 meter wire and install wire nut.
You are done with other prong. And now you have the other test lead. Screw in the bulb and connect the leads to see if bulb lights after plugging in. Please don't shock yourself.
You'll notice that one side from plug is one meter long and the other is about 1.5 to 1.75 meters long making the setup a bit lopsided (because of the added length the socket and pigtails add). You can level it up by just figuring out wire lengths by just fiddling. Get 2.5 meters of wire instead, and make the straight lead without the socket 1.5 meters long as a good starting point.
As an added bonus, and for North American code, if one prong is wider than the other, you can check to see if your house grounds are complete. Google for that info.
Hope you get the idea. HTH
