I blew my Lidl 20V angle grinder when the cut closed up and jammed the disc. But a new tool was just £25. It’s variable speed makes it ideal for wire brushing rust.
I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job.

Nach 3 Minuten muss erstmal eine Pause eingelegt werden, sonst gehen sie in Rauch auf. Lieber Bastler, bist du eigentlich bescheuert, eine Anleitung zum Bau einer lebensgefährlichen Murksmaschine ins Netz zu stellen?
Dandy idea. If you'll drill-out the threads on the nut closest to the head of the bolt, on your homemade clamp around your motor, it will tighten up. Otherwise the nuts will stay the same number of threads apart all the time and will never tighten up. The motor makes a magnetic field, so all that steel dust is subject to get pulled into the motor, since there is no case on it for its protection. At least, wrap it in duct tape and have a fan blowing somewhere to cool the motor. Other than that, it's a kewl idea! I love to watch your ingenious workings! THANK YOU!!!
that's a good idea, but i would prefer if you'd have worried about the finishing and improvement of the tool's casing. ur welding machine is very cool, I wish I had one. I would take more a careful attention with the tool, if I were in your place. greetings from Brazil
I learned some things but I have to ask.... what exactly did you accomplish? You spent a day or so on making an angle grinder that you can get for $20? what am I missing?
Perhaps you could learn another lesson, of not buying a new object when you can mend an old one. Discarding this kind on objects, a grinder with a usefull motor, and mecanics... is kind of thing the planet connot support any further.

Ingenious, satisfaction of assembling that yourself. I am not an electrician, suggest add earth wire to the frame as not double insulated, just in case.
And here I was thinking you were going to put it on the front fork of a regular bike 🚲 in order to make an E bike 🚲 you can also pedal. But good work and idea 💡 👏 👍 👌.
I'm sure the brushes, or what ever went bad on the grinder could've been fixed for$5.00 or salvaged from something else with a small mod... Think about the least force, applied to the most mass.. Time can be best spent, with project items in our consistent view... Ingineering is performed in the mind.

Most angle grinder discs are rated for 10000-12000 rpm. Blender motors go upto 24000 rpm. At such high speeds, the grinding discs may disintegrate maiming/killing the user.
Надо было при помощи пластиковых бутылок и скотча в том же корпусе все замандюлить, а не выделываться с полосками из металла, ну или термоклеем- бюджетненько так бюджетненько...😀
Я такой же привод на велосипед сделал. Да он собака не едет.мощности маловато. Как болгарку от 12 вольт использовать смысла нет. Обороты очень маленькие. А вот тяпки на поле затачивать само оно. Цены этому изобретению нет для фермеров. Не сгорит кромка ножа.
Hola, hay dos cosas que no entiendo, la abrazadera como hace para ajustar si las dos tuercas tienen rosca y el sentido de giro es incorrécto cuando usa el cepillo de alambre.
I like it a lot! :) But 1 - you can mount the shaft in the drill chuck and put the drill bit into the vice and it will center drill it very easy. And 2 - its quite posiible that this DIY project doesn't neccessary need the welding, as the hoseclamp could be used to hold the motor and you can buy it for cheap in every local hardware store. when a similar stripped down small motor like the one you use, does it matter if it's DC or AC? I have a few DC motors that barely turn with 12v DC. I'm thinking of hooking up the two posts to an AC cord 110v, and see if it works fast. what do you think?
La idea es buena, pero para usarla con una batería de 12 voltios y convertirla a inalambrica, aun que convendría mejor buscar un motor de 20 voltios y ponerle una batería de 20 voltios para agregar más torque y que funcione de mejor forma
