Great video, thanks a bunch. FYI, if you forget to hook up the back up sensors or need to replace the fog bulbs simply remove rear wheels and unfasten the wheel arch liners. This gives access to rear mounted fog light housing bolts.
Thanks for the tip
Thanks. This helped me out as trying without taking the bumper off just wasn't working!
Thanks for watching, glad it helped
Just wanted to give you a big thanks for the video, I’ll be able to install the rear diffuser by follow your detail video. Thank you so much! Keep up the good work
Thanks for watching
What a great video. Clear and well explained. Might just risk this myself now. Many thanks.
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for watching
Great video helped me with fitting mine and didn't miss one step thanks again 👍
Thanks for watching, glad it helped
Good video gonna order one of these diffuse for my jcw
Thanks for watching
Great Video, I would not have managed to install my diffuser without this step by step guide, my kit did not come with the glue kit, optional aparantly, although I was not given the option, an additional £35, so I have used 3m double sided tape in place of glue, early days at the moment but seems to have worked a treat, and less mess, if it don't hold I will buy the glue kit and do it again, thanks once again for a great video
Thank you for watching? Glad it was helpful
Brilliant video. Followed to fit same to my daughters F56 JCW. Couldn’t believe how hard some of the clips to separate the lower bumper section were to release, plus the the top two for the original corner parts where they attach to the bumper we’re really tough to release
Totally agree, I cant believe people mange to do it without removing the rear bumper
Thanks a lot for the video cause I’d have been in real trouble otherwise 🙄 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks for watching, I’m glad it helped
Cracking video will be following this to fit mine 👍 much appreciated.
No problem thanks for watching
This is an amazing tutorial, fitted mine perfectly. One question how to you take the back bumper off with the pro diffuser installed? I can’t get to the bolt inside the bumper😓😓
Thanks for watching, I’ve never actually had to take it off since fitting but if I remember you have to undo everything else then pull the bumper slightly forward to get to it
Thanks for the this video I have mini one but nice to watch great job bro✌
No problem 👍
Great video, I like the way it looks. Does it offer any benefits or is it just for looks?
Honest answer is I'm not sure. Purely fitting mine for looks
Nicely done, I’ve watched a couple installs from the states. They haven’t been removing the entire rear bumper. What made you go down that route??
Schwifty Smylie unless the cars is on a ramp it’s very difficult to get the stock rear diffuser section off the rear bumper, you risk breaking clips etc. Hence easier when car is on the ground to remove the bumper. Plus the official instructions from mini recommend removing it from memory
tweedbean yeah thought it was maybes belts and braces/access. I buggered a clip on the light while changing the surround so was hoping to avoid returning to the scene of the accident.
Hi, good job, well done.
I want to do like you.
Where did you buy the parts, please ?
Thanks,
Olivier, from France
Thanks for watching, I get 99% of my parts through Orranje Performance. Fully recommended.
Great instructional video, but I don’t think it looks any better than if you had just re sprayed the stock one black. It would have been much simpler and easier to do and get the same results as in looks wise.....just a thought 💭.....that’s what I will be doing. As I have already done with my front bumper.
Thanks for watching, 👍🏼
I planned to do this to my recently purchased F56 only to find the previous owner already had 😃
Nice one as it changes that back end for me 👌🏼
Would you say the oem mudflaps wouldn’t fit the new corners??
If not can you see why? Doesn’t have the 3 holes as before, fin get in the way??
Cheers.
Sorry not had a look at OEM mudflap fitment, not something I would fit myself.
I got some small thick stainless steel washers and have no idea what they are for
If I didnt cover it in the video, I am not sure.
are those rear side splitters genuine or are they the kill all chrome ones? wondering if the kill all chrome ones would fit with the pro diffuser
genuine 👍🏼
very good video. where did you buy the diffuser?
Thanks direct from the mini dealership parts department
Where did you order the diffuser?
Orranje Performance, contact them directly through facebook etc and they can supply OEM parts
Do u have to apply the glue at the end ?
Hi thanks for watching, I don’t quite understand the question? If you watch the video I apply glue at around 32 mins in
Hi can you send the link to get one of these please
Hi you get these for. Your local Mini dealership
Also wonder if you could given an opinion on this.. I just ordered this Diffuser from a dealer however on the main plastic part of it, one of the rear 2 tabs has nearly snapped off... do you think this will cause issues when fitting, with alignment etc? Hoping they will replace if this is the case (I was going to try glue he tab back on)
I would get them to replace it anyway just in case
@@tweedbean Thanks managed to get it sorted! Would you definitely recommend removing the entire rear bumper for this installation or can you get away with leaving it on?
I would recommend exactly as I showed in the video especially with the car on the ground
Honest question do you think anyone is able to fit this by themselves. I’ve never really done anything like it before and not sure if I want to risk it any suggestions?
I fitted it all by myself never having fitted one before. Just follow the video step by step
@@tweedbean Appreciate the reply, i’ll try my best😂
Where did you get the Betalink K1 from?
From the dealership it’s listed on their parts diagram for the diffuser
Hi ! Can you remove rear bumper trim without removing the rear arch ?
Unfortunately not as the screw at 5.19 is behind the rear arch. If you bend the arch to get to it, you risk damaging it permanently
tweedbean thank you for your answer
I don’t mean the whole rear bumber but only the little trim that you remove at 4:22 ? Is that it ?
A.A the rear arch clips into that trim you want to remove therefore you would need to unclip the rear arch from that trim at least to get it out. I would say it’s wouldn’t be impossible to do it without removing the entire rear arch but you are going to have to unclip part of it
@@tweedbean ok thank you !
Hi Tweedbean,
Can i ask what adhesive you used please? Thanks. Great video by the way, really helpful.
1 k you can buy at mini dealer.
from the dealer
Awesome job. I’ll give you £50 to fit one for me 😝
Thanks for watching, great to hear it helped, I think I will pass, did you get one in the end?
tweedbean Yes got my local body shop to fit one for me :) Looks ace really happy with it.
How much is the diffusor?
All depends where you are and where you source it from seen them listed from around £240-£400. Speak to your local mini dealer to see what they sell it for
tweedbean thx bro just saw it for around 400€
they are all over e-bay, various prices.
Do you wanna come help me fit mine 😂
Ha thanks for watching.
hard core skinny jeans
Ha they aren’t even that skinny
you've got even tighter ones?
I just don’t get the obsession with changing trim. Black trim look terrible. Demonstrating that the Guy knows sod all about customising for quality.
I understand what you mean with the black trim, they came on the car. I’ve since colour coded all the trim. Chrome isn’t for everyone. Each to their own and all that
