Hi Ricky. Glad you liked the video. Yes you can order the parts directly from BMW and fit yourself, that's exactly what I did. I ordered them from Sytner BMW in Harold Wood but you will be able to order them from your local BMW dealership from their parts department.

some people just like the all black look! for me personally, i have a red mini, and i think the black would go really well with the red paint of the car and to match my black bonnet stripes too! but i do think that in some cases the chrome could look better too. Its all in your own personal preference.

I was told they don't make the "beltline" in black. Any idea if they do for the F60? If so do you know the part number?

Wow. I'm sitting here looking at the $1,400 quote to fix the chrome (the rubber has deteriorated with age)... and thinking... why would I pay the shop to do this!? They want $300.00 in labor to do this.
Depends where you buy it, from mini well over 1k, kill all chrome you can get a dechrome kit that costs around £300 but that gives you the tape for the beltline, I bought that but never bothered with the tape and have just bought the proper beltline kit from mini for £250 in a sale!
Yeah it’s really easy. A trim pry tool really helps for the back three, but the front just pull off 👍🏻 just make sure you haven’t got any dirt/grit around when using the pry tool!
I've never understood why people pay crazy amounts of money for these mods when yes you're right the chrome looks just as good, each to their own I suppose

That is a serious mod, bit expensive but better than the cheap tape some are selling.

That's MINI (BMW) for you... A couple sites here in the States charging almost $600+ for the kit..
This is standard on the sports spec/JCWs, hence the kit was available in the first place

I’d be too terrified of breaking something. Looks much better though.
I prefer the chrome on my f56 it gives it more of a classic mini look. The black really only suits the JCW models

Where can you get a beltline for a R56 from.
I'm using this video to remove my R56 trim. I'm gonna use Dupli primer and trim paint to refinish my trim. I'm not posting BMW $600 for the black kit.

Just managed to buy the original Mini beltline kit for my F55 for £200. I don’t like the cheap aftermarket products from the likes of Killachrome.
