- This woman uses tiny brushes to create ultra realistic portraits on acrylic nails. Her name is Vivian Xue Rahey, and she's a nail art scientist and the CEO of Pamper Nail Gallery. Her unbelievable creations have become viral, leading to some wild collaborations with major brands.

(It’s just smaller nail brushes and mixing pallets) AND TALENT don’t forget about the undeniable talent she put forth on every single nail. I’m good at painting with oil and acrylic paint and I’m good at at least staying on the actual nail when I paint my nails…can I paint how she paints? Fk no. This is amazing and I hope to get close to her level one day all I am doing is practicing and it’s truly frustrating it’s just so tiny and packed with detail

The fact that it’s getting easier to 3D print anything but instead she does this all by hand painting every single detail is just on a different level than just basic nail art and painting. She is truly very gifted and she is obeying God by doing what she is good at because God blessed her with this gift and she enjoys using her gift to make eyes pop out and mouths drop down. Just wanted to let y'all know that her sets start at $400. If you wanted to get it customized, it's even more.

they start at $200 ish for customs and honestly thats cheap considering how much regular acrylics cost and how she spends like hours on each nail
I’d argue she is underpriced based on the rarity and level of skills. She could charge 900-1000.

She is beyond amazingly talented. I hope she will be careful of the Big Mouse Company that owns many of the images she paints. They are very greedy and have been known to send cease and desist warnings to other crafters who have used their images for their art. If she sells those nails, she is infringing in copyright (don’t shoot the messenger- I would love her to continue her art as it is fantastic. And I don’t even wear fake nails!)

The thing that makes these nails so impactful is how the customer has to make a choice about whether they want to wear the nails more or if they want to preserve them to appreciate it later. If you get them mounted like a standard acrylic nail then you can't just take them off, you need to either let them grow off, which takes forever and looks bad, or you have to destroy the nails to get them off. That is the option you have to wear them out more. If you only intend to wear them for an event and then save them to admire in the future as a memorial, then you can use double-sided nail adhesive. It's just a lot less secure so you have to be careful if you order long nails that they'll easily pop off if you try to secure them this way. So these works of art have an inherently ephemeral nature based on how you choose to wear them. Enjoy them for a couple of weeks and have them destroyed afterward or wear them for a few hours and then take them off and save them in a shadowbox or light box, but you don't get to appreciate them on yourself for as long. There's an impermanence to the intended experience of these artworks.
