I love how impractical it is, but art doesnt have to be useful. im just amazed how much creativity can go into nailart.

Art doesn't have to be useful, but we have to use our hands. Maybe if someone has a servant for everything, including wiping their behind, such bejeweled nails would make sense.

@@cats_are_love lol 😆 sh*t happens, you know! Not to mention other personal hygiene tasks or everyday chores, activities etc. Extremely long, sharp as hell and bejeweled nails make life harder.

I watch Korean nail videos and they do this…put gel around all the stones so hair doesn’t get caught. I’ve been doing the same, wear the nails 3 weeks, never lose a stone

I recently tried this method (basically bezel setting rhinestones) and it’s my best retention yet, kind of a pain in the ass to get off tho

Show me a master here and I will watch. These two do not qualify. Right down to allowing bubbles in the gel used to secure the gelx to be cured in.

I treated myself to a 1.5 inch stiletto set with tons of bling for my birthday this year; it was sooo fun and pretty! 😍 I never realized how heavy the Swarovski crystals feel on the nails compared to a regular nail art set though! I got used to the weight very quickly thankfully. I think any long nail enthusiast should treat themselves to a blinged out set at least once in their lifetime, I felt like such a princess and a Bad B at the same time with mine 😅

That's not old to get your nails done at all. Lol. I'm 36 years old. I've NEVER BEEN TO A SALON TO GET MY NAILS OR MY HAIR DONE ONCE. a few months ago, I started doing my own nails and had my very FIRST set of nails for the first time in my life because of myself. I just don't have hundreds to go to the salon so I never did. And then one day I just started doing my own because I thought that I was enough to at least feel pretty in some new way and it's good to have new skills. It would be nice to be pampered though. Still have no idea what that feels like. I don't treat myself to things. I also do my own hair, but to have someone else do it sometimes wound be nice, but it's cheaper my way and my learning I guess

Swarovski pulled back on selling loose stones except to very select and controlled use for designers and producers and even those who do still have access have to sign agreements not to resell loose stones. Id be so interested to hear yalls thoughts on this.

Yes! I used to buy them at the craft store. Was so sad I couldn’t get them anymore. I’d glue them on pop sockets for my phone.

Its an art in itself just to be able to do nails with the actual nails on. Though it’s not my style it is a very beautiful form of art work and I love it
Tyf for all of the tips! It's a common misconception that bling is fast but it can be quite time consuming. Customers also think nail techs make a lot of money applying bling but they don't, so if there's any hand painted art, bling or any design that takes a lot of time, please tip your tech well❤️ Tyfs👍
These nails go for $800 plus, it’s safe to say she’s making a big profit
@@Keralasha444 She's not. She has to charge for the cost of the gems, which aren't cheap. They cost more than clients realize. Then, she has to charge for the time it takes to apply them, which is the same as she charges for her time to complete other sets. If she charges an additional premium for her time then she might make an actual profit on the set. Otherwise, bling sets are quite time consuming and she could have been making $ doing other sets for other customers. It can actually be a loss of profit for her if she doesn't upcharge. That's why these sets cost so much. Nail techs don't make a ton of money on bling sets.
@@saragates2255he diamond/gems aren't real. They all buy it from the same supplier. $800 per client is a lot. Could be even considered price gouging. She doesn't need any additional premium. The price that already is input is high, and I bet that 800 covers if not more than what the stones cost. Its people like you that always say "up the price, or "charge more". But will never pay them for that price.

@@gentleauroraasmr8562of course they aren't real diamonds, but they are clearly not plastic either. And she's been doing this for so long, her nails are always perfect, which drives up the price. 800 is a lot, but the customer is also getting complementary service in a very high-cost area

I love how practical each of the products is. It seems very carefully designed to address specific problems and make the most of the characteristics of each type of adhesive. Very, very cool.

Honestly I felt like she had no problem at all vocalizing or describing anything. She has an accent but she wasn’t struggling in the slightest and didn’t need help. She has independently made a massive carrier for herself with almost entirely English speaking clients.

Such an amazing technique. I always want to fill in between the gems, but need a good product that doesn't go over the stones and make them murky.

I think that fill in with the pen was to help stop snagging. I know when I first got engaged I'd take the ring off I was my hair, but like anything you get used to it.

I couldn’t rock big blinged nails day to day, sometimes regular acrylics get that “heavy” feeling for me personally(I’m autistic so that doesn’t help the sensory lol). But that doesn’t mean they aren’t gorgeous, or that I don’t want them!!!! The art and hard work that goes into these crazy long and blinged nails is awesome and just freaking beautiful!!! I absolutely love nails! I think they are such a fun creative process! I however can barely stand painting my own nails, and whenever I do nails professionally they are always too long. I basically want stubs with the strength and durability of acrylic. I type so much as a student, and I have soo many dishes to do. I could never have my nails that long but it’s always so cool just to see the process.
Throughout the video I noticed Jenny was becoming more comfortable and talkative and it was nice to see, she’s an amazing nail tech 🥹🥹
