I cant help but being pissed off by this relationship to life in India, of course it it is right on and grest for this guy. But there are millions in India suffering. Good for you but....I am with those people who are living the extreme suffering of the prevailant poverty. Only cos I lived a part of it. Bravo brother, I guess you the privileged one can lead the way?
The purpose of the worldwide companies is to make us believing that we are incomplete. That we need as much stuff as possible to be happy. But happiness is ,most of the time, in emptiness. Reconnect to ourselves through nature is the only way to be really rich 🙏💕🌱

I was very fortunate to be able to spend 3 weeks in India in 2019, it is an amazing country. The contrast between the rich and poor is huge and on the whole I found the poor to be happier than the rich.
We stayed with wealthy relatives and discovered they suffer the same stress, pressure and anxiety as people in wealthy countries like Australia where I'm from.
Going out on the streets I met families living in single rooms and often conditions that would be utterly intolerable to most but their faces shone with happiness.
I suffered enormous guilt about the excesses I live with and was often ungrateful and unhappy while others had just enough to barely survive.
I came back a different person.
We can imagine that the trip changed your life, Michelle. Interesting that you also noticed the happiness on people's faces that had less. Something to think about... Thank you for sharing your thoughts and experiences with all of us. Warm hugs, Justine and Michael. 💚

I am 63 I am glad I'm not the only one at this age that is still trying to find themselves
I'm 62 also and have stopped thinking about what is my purpose because I don't think there is an answer.
I now look at life as a journey to first do no harm, help others where I can and have as little impact on the planet as possible. Since I stopped spending energy thinking about what I should be doing and just focused on being I am much happier.

Christopher, your choice to focus on what is truly authentic and meaningful when surrounded, in Singapore, by so much commercialism and emphasis on having bigger and more-money, property, cars, stuff-is truly inspiring.
Your decision to be that one body to touch others and provide encouragement and support is not cheesy at all. It is a mission that clearly gives you deep fulfilment and makes a positive difference in the lives of others. So don’t stop. Don’t minimise your calling.

The urge to leave everything and live a life entailed by Thoreau in Walden has been with me since i was 14 years old. Now i am 28 and im a teacher in a school where i feel education is imparted on people who dont need it or appreciate it at all.
Sigh. After i save money for 2 years,i will definitely go away and figure out how to live without living on someone else's term.

Henry David Thoreau lived in his hand-built wood cabin at Walden Pond for two years. While he was there, he was a land surveyor for which he got paid. He also invited people over. He continued contact with Ralph Waldo Emerson, a friend, who lived "in town," and who helped him out: two great minds joined together by a quest for understanding the bigger picture in life, Thoreau living in a small cabin and Emerson, living in town, with a family, traveling the country delivering talks on his viewpoint of life. Emerson's writings are timeless and was the most popular speaker in America at the time. Thoreau wrote Civil Disobedience, still pertinent today; both seemed to understood man's greater purpose and challenges and neither were hermits.
And yes, industrialized schools in America are trecherous for true development - lack of physical freedom (20 minutes for recess) and lack of overall creativity in art, dance, music, theater and languages. I worked in school for four years and will never return.

Reminding myself that we are all so insignificant in comparison to the entire cosmos or universe is such a stark comfort to me during some of my toughest times. To live simply has been my motto for the last few years. I used to dream about having things we couldn't afford until one day it just hit me live simply and feel happy!! That's what I am doing!! I'm not worried about the next fashion craze or the most popular interior design,an expensive beautiful home, or vehicle. Life isn't about these things. It's a whole lot more!!!

everyone has a purpose whether or not they ever find it and align to it. this man is on-track to living his purpose, anything less would disturb his peace. be it a curse or a blessing, when you are true to yourself and have a strong need to live it.. the universe somehow brings you back to your purpose here over and over again, until.. you fully embrace it and align to it. then it feels right and the way forward is shown. even if you were to fall, the universe will again pick you up and help you get back on track.. not just this man, but humanity more broadly is awakening to that process, that evolution.

Im 19 and I can relate to this video so much. Whenever I have problems for example in school I just imagine myself living in a countryside village where I have wonderful neighbors especially the elders whom I can talk to for hours about life and wisdom. I would just love to go fishing in the river, build a vegetable forest and do some art crafts about nature. Or maybe volunteer to social works. But I am here stuck in the city and i feel the pressure of following the standard life of finishing college and working in an office especially I am the eldest. I hate my life😭.

It does NOT sound cheesy at all! I resonate with absolutely everything you said, I feel that same contentment and 'fire' in my belly when doing what I was meant to do. I wish I was as brave as he has been at that age, I am 69 years young and finally retired 1 1/2 years ago and didn't care where the money was going to come from, my health was suffering so that I could hardly walk anymore. I had spent too much of my life going to jobs I hated everyday trying to take care of my family as a young widow. My body has improved much but the difficulty for me is currently not having roots, a place, no matter how small , to call my own. Where I live it is so much stress dealing with landlords and always wondering when your going to have to move again. I can live incredibly simply but I have this profound need for roots and stability. Thank you GR for introducing us to the light that is Christopher💕💚🙏

Bless you! My son is 17 and wants to be an engineer, by his choice. I told him fine, but you are going to take an Art class and pottery class as your extras. And I set aside a small amount of money for him to go somewhere in the world. I am so proud of him but I have a lot of talks with him about money isn't everything. You remind me a lot of him- pure soul and heart!
