    Very nice job. I still have my DC07 that I bought new in 2001. I have replaced some parts but it still runs great and I use it on a regular basis.

    I'm currently house and dogsitting and this is the vacuum the owners have- I'm so happy there's such an informative video on how to use this, I had no idea how to get the handheld thing out 😅

    I have that exact model (Yellow clutch control) and the Animal (Lilac) with all tools.
    Just restored the Animal as the motor gave up the ghost after 20yrs.
    In all I spent just over £40 on a motor, belts, Belt fitting tool & Filters.
    Complete strip down and Clean with soap & water.
    You can remove the top of the cyclone (3x torx screws) to clean it thoroughly.
    It now works better than I ever remember it working.
    Not bad for a 'Plastic piece of crap with no bearings' as all the vacuum cleaner mechanics used to call them.
    The Motor has 2x sealed bearings, clutch has 3x and the brush roller has 2x, basically all the working parts ARE fully bearing'd.

      They were really ahead of their time, such fantastic machines! Even today they’re a good machine that does the job

      Fun fact, Dyson stole the helix brushroll idea from Hoover from the 1900's, and the magnetic clutch drive from Electrolux from the 1970's.

    Fantastic review! I’ve had my DC07 for nearly 25 years and I’ve put it through a lot. I’ve even cleaned up after construction which included wall plaster and small nails. It’s just as good as when I bought it. Maintenance is super easy too.

      That’s awesome to hear! I love these as well, they can go on for many years as long as the filter is kept clean once every few months, very limited maintenance is required on these vacuums and they just do a fantastic job, they’re solid, easy to use, it’s satisfying to see how much it collects in the bin and they’re versatile too!

    Handle this like Ming china vase. I have two of them and both of them shattered to pieces. One got damaged in shipping, then it got damaged further when I accidentally tripped over it. The other one just broke on its own, the handle snapped off right in my hand.

    Hi mate. I am in australia and got this one from a old friend. Suction in wand works but not much suction from bottom to clean carpets. I checked for blocks but couldn't find any. What could be the issue

    • @parwaz7861
      @parwaz7861  7 місяців тому +1

      Hi usually it’s either the internal hose, the hose acts like a spring to push the yelllw pivoting brushbar housing flat on the floor when it’s in the vacuuming position (check to see if yours is flat to the floor)
      Or it could be the clutch that needs replacing, after a few years the belts lose tension and the brushbar doesn’t spin as fast as it should
      Also check the soleplate is fitted correctly and the filter is washed

    • @m07028
      @m07028 7 місяців тому

      @@parwaz7861 Hi. I checked and found that brush bar is not spinning at all in vacuum position . I cannot access belt path as it is covered from a separate black plastic.this one is bit different form the model in your video even though this is also dc07.
