And let's not forget the "basic" game with no DLCs and no mods. I played that for months during Covid and it was a lot of fun. I suggest master that one first before you add additions and additions.
I have all the DLCs and find that I can often play without the Arctic, it's a lot of work and not too much of a payoff. Bright Harvest, on the other hand, is one that I find indispensable. I realize it just a change that increases the productivity of farms but allows you to use land so much more efficiently. Docklands allows you to free up land in the Old World but farming without Bright Harvest in Land of Lions, with the limits on fertile land, is much more difficult.
yea yea. but we all can agree something like this: the trio must have: - bright harvest - docklands - seat of power(for the policies. it helps a lot especially for hard challenges) 2 DLC that must have but not as important than those three above: - Passage (GAS POWER PLANT IS IMPORTANT ESPECIALLY IF U PLAY ONE ISLAND CHALLENGE. Saves up some areas for railway). - Land of Lions. the scholars so important. cape trelawney aka the sunken treasures actually NOT NEEDED. Because it's like cheating. huge land only for you. meh.. and the most important Cosmetics DLC is the vibrant city.
I played all anno games and my favorite was 2205 i believe one with moon and earth orbit. I had around 5k hours in this one. And then 6 months ago I decided to buy anno 1800 gold edition with all dlcs. i am gonna say i think i am only 600 hours in but that was the best purchase i made. absolutely love the game, very unique to previous anno game, graphics are amazing especially if you can run it all on ultra settings and just overall, this is solid 10/10 game.
I just bought the Definitive Annoversary edition in the summer sale. Been wanting a fresh strategy game to play for a while and sure, I could have probably just bought one of the cheaper editions but screw it, looks right up my alley and I love cosmetics. Got a few days off work so going to get right into it.
I just bought tha vanilla game today, It looked so easy in your videos, but trying to make everything right is really hard xD. 1st Ill make sure I understand vanilla game, and then start purcharsing DLCs... ;)
Good comment. I had a similar experience - without watching any videos about it. Make sure that people have fish and clothes and enough of them. Then do the next thing. Make sure you have a (small) overproduction of everything. Because if you don't have that, then later on it will bite you and you have to fix things which you thought worked already. Enjoy!
the complete edition with all the dlc's is on a 55% discount on steam rn, if you like the game could be worth grabbing it, and just turning off the dlc's till you feel comftorble having them on.
You'll need to do things one step at a time. Do not go to new lands unless you have completely satisfied your current island needs. And do not start Tourist and Skyscrapers right away. Keep them for the end game.
I bought the Complete edition (Year 1-4 passes) on Steam a couple of days ago for £49.99 - It seems brilliant value and I'm loving it so far. The only annoyance is them calling it 'Complete' since there are still several pretty DLCs I'm missing... perhaps they'll bundle them up at some point too - don't think I'll need/miss them for a while yet anyway as the campaign seems like a time consuming monster already! Great video - cheers!
Nice video to give newcomers a chance to know what they are after. Makes me miss seeing you play Anno 😔 It's such a great game!! I wonder sometimes if they will come up with a new Anno series soon? Like Anno 1900 or something. It's one great game😍
there is no way to add the item transfer depot without adding the rest of the mechanics in empire of the skies i suppose? im playing vanilla so far and i find it really annoying managing late game items between islands.
Are some of these included in the console edition or is it missing some? I don't own anno on console, but I've only seen smaller packs, not season passes
wish they would give me my money back on the anno 1800 I purchased on their Ubisoft website...which is garbage because they did not orginally sell it on steam. Send me a refund and I will repurchase it on steam just to keep all my games in one spot...Ubisoft sucks. Otherwise the Anno games are all pretty good....this one included. My favorite is still Annon 2070
Shame no gameplay dlcs on console. If they dodnt spend time making all these small cosmetic dlcs, they maybe would have had the time to adjust the real ans worth dlcs for console.. Im a few hours into the campaign and i like it, its nice, but barebones for now. Also the trading 2 settings are unclear for each options of selling etc. Minimal stock for each option etc. They said memory limitations was a reason for no gameplay dlcs, seems their engine isn't optimized for streaming from ssd maybe. Anyhow, got the deluxe ed on sale, few bucks extra fr 3 small dlcs. Also, no scenarios on console? All comes with gameplay dlcs?
I feel like they added way too many additional mechanics as the DLCs went on. It basically results in having to redo things several times as some new mechanic is unlocked. That means the routes and chains you spent dozens of hours on are now inefficient compared to what the new mechanic can do. That becomes tedious if you don't plan ahead for it. Kinda like the trains, where if you don't plan your city around them from the start, you've just screwed yourself without realizing it, having dumped dozens (or hundreds) of hours into a city that now has to be torn down and rebuilt. Lots of small frustrations like that throughout 1800. Small frustrations that, on their own are trivial, but as they add up eventually make things not fun. I hope in the next Anno they don't do that again.
there wont be next anno for at least 15 years. this game is the ultimate city builder, there is nothing better than this to be honest. but agree with criticism
Because there will be no DLCs because at Ubisoft they said : we want to make console players show that even base game can be enjoyed …. In other words “ we are too lazy to do it “
Idk but im on console and no gameplay dlcs there sadly. But reviews say its replayable endlessly so i guess its not needed,,but they seem to add quite a bit to extent gameplay.
Anno is not realy a city builder. It's more of a production chain builder. Of course you build a city around it but the main goal is keeling up the supply chains to sustain your city
Better. Way better. I spent a few months on City Skylines and every city ended up the same: a frustrating traffic nightmare. Anno 1800 has kept my full attention for almost 3 years now. There's ALWAYS something happening.... And the best part: no traffic!
actually you can totally compare them they are both city builders lol. I dont know what he's talking about :D Anno is WAAAAY BETTER and IS THE BEST CITY BUILDER OF ALL TIMES@@Nivarias

Your clip was cut short at 5:33. Do you remember what you intended to say?

Can I ask what were you saying at the end of the High Life DLC section? It's unfortunately cut around "A questline so...". :(

Welcome! Two months in....200 hours? 300? Has your family sent a rescue party to find you yet?
Nice video to give newcomers a chance to know what they are after. Makes me miss seeing you play Anno 😔 It's such a great game!! I wonder sometimes if they will come up with a new Anno series soon? Like Anno 1900 or something. It's one great game😍
Can't do 1900 it breaks the numbering convention. All titles add up to 9 whereas 1900 adds to 10. 2205 2+2+0+5 = 9, 1404 1+4+0+4=9 etc.
@TheLawkill which makes Anno1900 the perfect candidate for the grand finale
Interesting I would rank season 2 much higher, land of lions is the best, IMO
Fair enough!
I have enjoyed watching you play ANNO 1800 .... Could you Please post a link to the Full game series from the very beginning ... Thank you.
there is no way to add the item transfer depot without adding the rest of the mechanics in empire of the skies i suppose? im playing vanilla so far and i find it really annoying managing late game items between islands.
How did you changed the colors of the buildings in on time?
nice video bro , i have everything but i just wanted to know what u like most , peace

Steam also just links you to Uplay, so you need to use that launcher too. Better to have it just on Uplay to save one launcher.
Nice, but now i want some Asian-themed DLC to have complete set.

There is no dlc for ps5? :(

wish that I had this video 3 months ago :v
On ps5 I see about 10 add on packs lol.
Because there will be no DLCs because at Ubisoft they said : we want to make console players show that even base game can be enjoyed …. In other words “ we are too lazy to do it “
playable without DLCs? i don't want to spend alot of money and end up not liking the game
Idk but im on console and no gameplay dlcs there sadly.

I have all the dlc’s 😂
Is anno the same , better or worse than cities skylines ?
It's different. You can't compare them really and I play both in their own ways!
Anno is not realy a city builder. It's more of a production chain builder. Of course you build a city around it but the main goal is keeling up the supply chains to sustain your city
