    Recipe in video for the dry ingredients, and liquid below. As with all of my vids, they are best watched with the sound on so you don’t miss any important soapy info. The edit on this one was tougher than normal to keep that scale in frame. 😂❤️
    Glycerin - 1.5-2.5oz, depending on humidity
    .7oz cocoa butter
    1oz cocobetaine

      Is it the actual cocobetaine or cocamidopropyl betaine? I just found out they're not the same 😅 can I use cocamidopropyl betaine and replace the SLSa for SCI powder?

    Many,many thanks for sharing this wonderful formula. Lots of bubbles and long lasting 👏👏 don't wonder Scout loves it. Me too! I have one question and some tips for natural colour.
    -The question: it feels drying for my skin: Could I substitute a bit of the glycerin amount for some liquid oil?
    -The tips: I haven't tried them yet, but I guess they could work well. We could make a glycerine macerate with hibisco flower, spirulina, rose petals, alkanet (this I doubt if it dissolves in glycerine or not. In oil it has a beautiful purplish colour).... And use that glycerine as the glycerine of the blend (previously strained) to give some colour.We could also add some powders as cocoa, clays, spirulina again...I also had to add some more baking soda because the blend was very fluffy. Instead of adding extra baking soda, maybe some of these powders could work and besides, give some colour.
    Greetings from Spain. Thanks again for your great work and your videos and have the best for this 2022! 🥂

    This looks like a much nicer batter than the one I currently use, so I would love to try it! However, i was trying to write it down and seem to be missing the measurement of the liquid glycerin. I checked your website but did not find any measurements there either (which I totally understand since its your shop site) any help would be wonderful! Also, do you find the stand mixer necessary? Or can it be done to the same effect by hand? Thank you for such wonderful information!

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  4 роки тому +2

      Hey! Thanks for watching! Glycerin for a batch this size is between 1.5-2.5oz, depending on the humidity of your area. I don’t find the stand mixer necessary- you can work it in by hand and get your arm workout for the day. :) The video from yesterday with the pipeable bubble bars has more information on the recipe too!

    Hello. Thanks for posting the video. I would like to attempt to make these but the recipe is not readily available in this video or in the comments. What is the total amount of oz for the recipe? What amount and percent did you use for fragrance, polysorbate? Did you use Polysorbate 80 or 20? How do you use the bubble bars?

    Hi, love your stuff! Is coco betaine the same as cocamidopropyl betaine? I heard they are different but some say it’s the same. Can you please clear it up for me?

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  3 роки тому +3

      Different, but also interchangeable. They’re both surfactants, but in recent years it’s been decided that cocamidopropyl betaine is less of a skin irritant than coco betaine. Either can be used in this application, and I actually did use cocamidopropyl betaine - I’m just an old dog that’s used to saying it the other way. 😂

      Poly is just used to ensure the micas disperse correctly in this recipe, so just a bit will do. Anywhere between 1 tbsp and 4 tbsp is great!

      @@MrsSoapAndClay is the poly sorb the same as the cocobetaine?

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  3 роки тому +1

      Poly and cocobetaine do two different things in a bath bomb recipe. The Poly isn’t needed; it’s mostly used to disperse the micas. The cocobetaine is an additional bubbler that also sort of plumps up the bubble bars and gives them a fun laminated texture.

    • @MrsSoapAndClay

      The cocoa butter is definitely going to help solidify. If you swap out, I would go with a firmer butter like mango, or a mix of softer butter and beeswax.

    • @MrsSoapAndClay
      @MrsSoapAndClay  4 роки тому

      Hi! I’ve not had good experiences with any solid bubble bath recipes that exclude the SLSA. It’s the primary bubbler in this recipe; leaning too heavily on coco-betaine for this yields a solid bar with minimal bubbles or a sticky bar if you increase the amount.

    • @MrsSoapAndClay

      SLSA is a mild surfactant derived from coconut or palm, but still a synthetic. It’s what makes the big bubbles!
