@@danooth22 How about this as a hypothesis? What if its just another way to suppress freedom of speech. If a video happens to have just 1 of the long long long list of things they decide to associate with kids they can take it down. The video content might not be anything to do with kids content it might be to do with... let's say.... immigration or cops shooting people but because it has a spiderman toy in the background they can say it's kids content, remove it and possibly make you pay a fine. All because your views on a specific subject might differ from that of the social norm or you're talking about something they don't want you to. A fine for child advertisements sounds more justifiable to the public than a fine for talking about say... a cop innocently killing someone.
In the eyes of the technically challenged public you're just a creep if you advertise to children without their consent no matter what the circumstances are so the public will think the guy deserves the fine (all because of a spiderman toy in the background and literally nothing else - but they won't take the time to know the ins and outs) If they fine him for saying something about a cop killing or their own view on immigration, the same members of the public will draw comparisons to China or North Korea and there will be uproar. That's what I think the new revisions of COPPA is about at the core of it. Nothing to do with children imo. Either that or money.

I have said it before and I will say it again: Someone needs to file a lawsuit against the FTC here.
COPPA or at least this interpretation of it flies in the face of the First Amendment, the Fourth Amendment, and numerous other parts of the Constitution.

With all due respect, the Sonic redesign was an elaborate hoax from the beginning to get attention for the movie. It is pretty obvious. This on the other hand, is UA-cam basically washing their hands clean of the content creators who made UA-cam what it is, and switching the platform to a more profitable streaming service.

Whenever I see that FTC guy, my middle finger somehow raises itself.
I just want to say really quickly, this all has been so terrifying, but your attitude and jokes about it all have helped me through the doom and gloom. I too, am genuinely concerned for my work. I planned on starting an animated dragon series next year here on UA-cam, but it looks like that may not be happening. We still have until December 9th, and multiple people have spoken with the FTC, but I doubt it will change anything. I vote that we move to NewGrounds. I can't believe the UA-cam is marking all animations as kid friendly. There are animations with violence, blood, swearing, dark themes, and more. Including some of my own. I've already been fishy about UA-cam since a deleted my old channel (forcing me to move to this one after falsely being terminated for spam).

Coppa: Make UA-cam safe for kids by removing content that isn't safe for kids and that collects data from kids.
Parents: Don't you tell us how to raise our kids and what they can and can't watch on UA-cam. Taking away the things they enjoy. We'll decide what is best for our kids, not you COPPA. We enjoy just as much of UA-cam's content as our kids do. Sounds like your in it to make money off these content creators by using this law about our children as an excuse to make money off them.
Content Creators: Can we all just get along. We just want to make enjoyable content for anyone and everyone who enjoys what we make. That is all we ask for. It makes us happy to see that "people" enjoy what we make and NOT make it solely just to collect data on kids. So please, be reasonable COPPA.
