I actually do a similar thing with Thongvor Silver-Blood; you can get the Stormcloaks to take over Markarth, which allows him to become Jarl. Then if the Imperials retake Markarth, he (along with his right-hand man Yngvar the Singer) gets exiled to Windhelm. And if you also kill Thonar during "No One Escapes Cidhna Mine", then the Silver-Blood family basically ends up decapitated.
I had a delightful accident once, in that a vampire attack happened in Riften and Maven accidentally hit a guard. So much like what happens to the player, every time she was out and about the guards started attacking her 😅
Some more choices I wish I'd known about for roleplaying a heroic Dragonborn: - Joining the Thieves Guild isn't required to find Esbern in the main quest as the game leads the player to believe. The bartender at the Ragged Flagon, Vekel The Man, can be bribed for his location. - The Dragon Infusion perk can be acquired without killing Paarthurnax as long as the Blades' side quests are completed in the small window of time between Alduin's Wall and Alduin's Bane. - Aela the Huntress can be recruited into the Blades so the Companions can be free of werewolves. - Brother Verulus can be saved in The Taste Of Death by betraying Eola at the last minute. - The Fiery Soul Trap enchantment, scrolls, and staves can be used as an alternative to conjuration. - Molag Bal's quest, The House of Horrors, if you kill Logrolf while he is being held captive the quest immediately fails. - Hermaeus Mora's quest, Discerning the Transmundane, Septimus Signus can be killed after he gives you the dwarven lexicon and asks you to collect blood failing the quest.
The biggest piece of advice I can give you is get Jayserpa's quest expansions if you're willing to mod the game. House of Horrors can be completed immediately by talking the Vigilant member out of attacking you with a high Speech skill, or having Stendarr's amulet on you. You can then team up to destroy the altar. There's also a mod from Jayserpa that provides a heroic outcome for Whispering Door and the Peryite quest, among others. Guy also did the best mod to keep Paarhurnax alive, complete with some spliced together lines and you shouting Esbern and Delphine into submission, reminding them that they serve the Dragonborn and not the other way around.
On my current playthrough I didn't even cross to Rifton until I reached level 30 and still had unlucky assassins coming after me. No clue who wants this poor fool dead.
@@dragongrandmaster there are some horrific game breaking glitches of Arcane Enchanter and Alchemy Tables that allow you to do such thing, I don't even touch them since it makes game boring and easy but for maven, it may worth it.
One thing you got wrong: at 2:36, you say Maven has mercenaries stationed at the Golden Glow Estate. Those mercenaries were stationed by Aringoth when he sold Golden Glow to Karliah. The mercenaries Maven hired are at her own estate southeast of Riften.
I always thought it was funny how Maven's only real threat against you is either sending thugs or the dark brotherhood after you. I'm literally demi-god and I destroyed the dark brotherhood with ease. If I was in the game I would just walk up to her with the contract i looted off the assassins and tell her "better luck next time."
Or if you did the Dark Brotherhood questline inform Maven just who it is she threatened and warn her to watch her tongue or she'll get a 'tour' of the new sanctuary's torture chamber.
As an exile, she will end up in the basement of the castle in Solitude. Now she is out of the game. Console command her so she isn't essential. Since the game does not involve her anymore, you can kill her without breaking any scripts.
Edit: I appreciate the advice guys, I really do, but after the first 20 guys I expected the following 20 to realize I had already made aware of the loophole to get into the Guild without enjailing Brand-Shei xD No need to keep telling me My only issue with this walkthrough to ruin Maven is the same I have with the Thieves Guild at large. Joining requires sending poor Brand-Shei to jail, and there's no way to break him out or avoid his imprisonment to join the guild
You can also fail the quest by leaving the area (e.g. go into a building), so you don't even need to get a bounty. Brynjolf will still let you join the guild
You can even put the ring into any container or drop it somewhere (not inside the city, better put it into a barrel) and when you will talk to Brynjolf, Dragonborn will tell him that he lost it.
Maven: "I will get the Thieves Guild and the Dark Brotherhood on you!" Dragonborn while being the Listener and Leader of the Dark Brotherhood and Guild Master of the Thieves Guild: 🌝
Alas, but there's no ingame way to terminate her directly. This would narratively obliterate her business, though, and that's indeed a sound start insofar as a story is concerned. I'll refer to this again later.
If you approach it as someone who is seeking revenge on the Black-Briars for what they have done to your family and others, then not killing her is even better. She is left to sit in the ashes of her little empire, experiencing nothing but impotence and defeat.
As an exile, she will end up in the basement of the castle in Solitude. Now she is out of the game. Console command her so she isn't essential. Since the game does not involve her anymore, you can kill her without breaking any scripts.
Ooooooh! Maven sold my Father to the Thalmor as a Talos Worshiper. Resulting in his murder and was behind my Dragonborn almost dying at Helgen. The the Captain? The one that said "Forget the list! She goes to the block." She was paid off by Maven to ensure my death. Unfortunately, she never planned for Alduin's return to disrupt her plans.
I somehow always end up slaughtering the majority of Markarth. One time I had high bounty (there was an... incident earlier) but had to go there for the DB, speedran the Forsworn quest to go to jail and kill Madanach, got pardoned, then Serana IMMEDIATELY aggroed on someone and, well, we kinda killed everyone.
It's very easy after the Cidhna Mine quest you can just kill Thonar Silverblood whether you help the Forsworn or not As for Thongvor you retake Markarth for the Empire and he's exiled There is no need for a lengthy video
This video is totally spot on on how to role play in these games. This specific gale is a massive sand box with many tools that allows you to role play as much as you want, well in your head sometimes, but still. This is what Skyrim is all about.
What would be an interesting mod would be to recruit Brand-Shei from the Riften Jail and put him in charge of either the farm over in Rorikstead, or the Severin Manor on Solsteim, giving him merchant status in both locations. Maven does threaten to kill him at one point, so he should be very eager to leave. A theory I have heard is that you were trying to get out of Skyrim at the beginning of the game, because Maven performed the Black Sacrament against you, and the Dark Brotherhood are hunting you, and when Astrid tells you that the sacrament was performed against someone in the Abandoned Shack, that someone is you. When you kill Astrid in the shack, her last words are, "well done".
It's a shame you can't marry Ingun Black-Briar as that would be another kick to the face for all of Maven's assets to end up inherited to you. You can marry Mjoll the Lioness who has a sort of sacred oath to protect Riften from the corruption of the Black-Briars. And I'm not sure, but I believe one of the elderly Battle-Born matriarch claims to be best friends with Maven. I think if you side with the Stormcloaks then the Grey-Manes are established as the new leaders of Whiterun which would surely flush out the Battle-Borns and their powerhold and destroy them from being in a position to help Maven as well. I really like this. It's pretty awesome you put this together!
Love the video as I adore to ruin Maven. The detail about making her Jarl just in order to exile her is something I had never thought about (I usually tend not to play the civil war as I roleplay a Talos worshiper, a Thalmor hater and a loyal citizen of the Empire at the same time). And I must compliment you for your voice.
It you're all those three things, then the empire route of the civil war isn't as bad as it may seem. Truth be told, the empire doesn't really even care about the Talos worship thing - it's just a term they have to put up with now. In terms of worshipping Talos, the outcome of the civil war doesn't really matter in the long run. The only thing that will secure Talos worship, frankly speaking, is if Mankind wins the next Great War. But yeah, sticking it to Maven like this is something beautifully devious that I wish I had thought of myself. Skyrim doesn't offer a lot of these kinds of choices, so you always love to see it.
If that first part were true, then why did they lock up Heimskr in Whiterun after you do "The Defense Of Whiterun" quest for the Legion?@@smol_hornet613
What you did not show is Maven’s true weakness. She wanted Dragonborn killed a few times. Gave the black sacrament. If you go to her house and open up her basement. You’ll find some things which may help you defeat her.
You know I went into this skeptical. I've seen so many bait-and-switch videos with titles like this and then 3 minutes in you find out it's just some mod or exploit or debug or something. Big kudos to you. I really enjoyed this.
When you download the mod "Become The High King of Skyrim", you can have her arrested! There's also another mod that lets you have Grelod arrested instead of murdered.
@@penismightier4303 You can brawl her and kill her bare-handed, and the guards won’t care. But you don’t even need to start a brawl with the mod, just talk to her and she dies.
There's a real estate mod which allows you to put insanely high taxes on your tenants. So just buy all their building and increase the rent to max to screw them over even more.
You missed the most effective way to bring her down. Make Maven jarl. Exile her. As an exile, she will end up in the basement of the castle in Solitude. Now she is out of the game. Console command her so she isn't essential. Since the game does not involve her anymore, you can kill her without breaking any scripts.
I'll gladly do all those quest, except the beehives. Even though I hate entire Black-Briars family (as most of us do), I will not let innocent animals suffer because of them. Also, the quest to get her exiled works only if you join the Stormcloaks (one more reason to do it), as only then you'll have the opportunity to recapture Riften and exile Maven. It also has the benefit of showing her true nature to jarl Laila, who, up till this moment, naively considers Maven to be her friend and trusts her (but she does not know about her shady business) - if Maven scemes to ussurp her throne come to light and she herself being in cahoots with Imperials, Laila (who herself is Stormcloaks supporter) will not only exile Maven upon her return to throne, but will probably step hardly on the entire Black-Briars family's throat (and who knows, when civil war ends and Stormcloaks rule Skyrim, Maven will have no more allies to hide her and might find herself before chopping block or under a gallows).
Bro its a video game and not that deep. Plus there are no actual bees in Skyrim, aside from the alchemy ingredient. The bees aren't an actual "animal" that moves around or that you can hit or interact with in any way.
Ah, finally, a way to take her down. Yes! I also liked that the presenter's voice and accent sounds like Brynjolf telling me about his secret plan in the Thieves Guild.
That was a really nice look on things, I wish there was a way to destroy the thieves guild similar to the dark brotherhood(or at least leave them) without mods. As for being the dark brotherhood's leader I don't think Maven would be able perform the black sacrament on you(I mean, she could, but I don't think the Night mother would accept that), since there's actually a tenant that forbids members to kill one another, for that would "evoque the wrath of Sithis", especially considering the sacred position the listener has.
@@ohauss That's a good point. I'm going into very theoric area, but I think that there would be a very large number of contracts on maven considering how beloved she is to others😂

Never steal the possessions of a Dark Brother or Dark Sister. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis. Tenet V. Never kill a Dark Brother or Dark Sister. To do so is to invoke the Wrath of Sithis. people tend to always disobey those, like Astrid did herself (she even mentions it in a dialog if I'm not mistaken) but given the events in the DB story line in Skyrim, I don't think any of the remaining members would dare to, not only they've learned that it's better to respect the nightmother, because they realized all the magical thing with her is very real, but also anyone who don't, would have to deal with the Dragonborn, Cicero, and whoever also sided with them, since a action like that would probably divide the members (supposing that someone would try to support the betrayer of course.)
Cool video but with 2 oversights. We CANNOT continue with the thieves guild as the next mission would force you to take out Mayven's competition Honningbrew. The other oversight is that joining the DB is not a huge issue as you could perform the black sacrement yourself against her
You can still join and lead the dark brotherhood the black sacrament can't be made on a member of the brotherhood. (Astrid betrayed the brotherhood so she could do the black sacrament on herself)
I use the Thieves Guild for the Good Guys mod, and with that, I sort of “beat Maven”. She became the Jarl of Riften in the end, but the Thieves Guild held a piece of evidence that could ruin her life, so she had to operate under the blackmail of the Guild Master, the Dragonborn. But the Guild Master is one of the good guys, hence the title of the mod.😂
I found a mod that let me put a new face on Riften's throne. It's called "A Better Tomorrow" it lets you oust maven for her crimes and put a new modded character on the throne. This means you can take console commands remove maven's essential status and take her and her fam down. But this is a great vanilla way to do this.
Maeven isn't close to the Dark Brotherhood, she just performs the sacrament and employs them like anyone else (with money) can. The Thieves Guild is Maeven's baby.
First time here. Thanks for giving me a "Purpose" ☝ After a Gagilian play throughs, had never focused exclusively on Maven. Well done. AND, I'm just about to take care of Grelod the Kind.

One of the options where the DragonBorn said to Serena that “we were very close and that he or she can’t wait to visit them again! ( Majority of the options were The DragonBorn miss them or visiting them again ) The Ambush probably happened when the DragonBorn was leaving around the boarder from Skyrim to go to Cyrodiil.
I love the roleplay aspect of this. This is how RPGs ought to be played! Of course it's great when the voice lines support it, but this sort of thing is what makes RPGs much more fun.
Smart schemes👌 Even the game makers didn't thought of this(or did). Doing these should've at least triggered a bonus encounter in which we witness her execution or being delivered to jail in rags. She wouldn't be so cocky then.
As an exile, she will end up in the basement of the castle in Solitude. Now she is out of the game. Console command her so she isn't essential. Since the game does not involve her anymore, you can kill her without breaking any scripts.
I take this a step further. In my playthroughs, I have mods where I can buy properties/businesses in Skyrim. So when I help Maven with honningbrew meadery, I buy the deed and seize the place for myself. Then I use this other mod to open my very own meadery in the Rift, crippling her business. If I’m playing a morally bankrupt character I like to poison her daughter. It’s also good if you support stormcloaks, as Maven doesn’t become Jarl that way.
Naturally, this is all in addition to seizing control of the Thieves Guild & the Dark Brotherhood through their storylines hehe Just systematically taking everything that belongs to Maven, stripping her of her power and resources.
As much as this seems like a well thought out, but futile plan, one thing remains the same: Maven is a necessary evil in Skyrim. The main reason why she's marked as essential. Sure, she's got poison for blood, but yet she's the reason why the Thieves Guild still survived and (by my playthrough) back to full strength. Things were only bad in Riften because of Mercer's stealing and having everything fall into decline. Not Maven's fault she resorted to harsh measures, believe it or not. Not everything in this world can be pure. Just a damn straight reality, even in a fictional world.
Easy easy I create my fashion I launched an invasion on Riftin I became the king and I put her head on the block on the steps, and then her brothers, and then anyone else that tried to save them. The thieves guild watched as seven people died that day, and an undead guardian ghost came out of nowhere.
Even if you side with the empire in the Civil War, that's still a loss for Maven. Do you know how much influence she loses by being made Jarl? Not only that, she's the Jarl of Riften, the poorest and most rundown Hold in the game, nevermind the rampant crime and wild animal attacks. Her reputation will never recover. What's more, siding with the Imperials eliminates a potential rival for the title of High King, meaning your only competition for the title is Elisif, who doesn't particularly inspire strong emotions like the Dragonborn does. At that point, you can just have her executed on suspicion of Treason, which as the leader of the Thieves' Guild, you would have ample evidence to prove it (and if none exists, you could forge it).
This is gunna sound insane but I would actually like to go the complete opposite route and be her young, dashing sugar baby. Is she an evil person with an iron grip on the underworld of Skyrim? Yes. But she's also rich. and power is sexy.
"Now been the Dragon Born, a demi-god like creature, I think we can learn something from Ulfric, and that is that...someone taking a FUS-RO-DA to the face is never good, we should try this with Maven....."
I do the thieves guild honey quest successfully, collect the reward - then AFTERWARDS go back and burn all the hives! I also have a habit of using the Ice Form shout on Maven if I meet her.
Banishing Maven is so on the nose and so the stormcloack pov I didn't even think about that option! Well I'm in for a Stormcloack run anyway right now :D
I mean, we can make the guild independent by bringing back the build to it’s former glory and being in charge of the dark brotherhood takes away Maven’s power if you’re against her. Even if she becomes Jarl, you’re the listener of the dark brotherhood and killed the emperor so what’s a Jarl to the brotherhood at this point? Riften is now her prison since we hold the sword of Damocles over her head and can kill her at anytime.
This is great! I LOVE the roleplaying aspects that you have touched upon here. And I would truly enjoy having you explore these ideas with more videos of how to use situations within the game to roleplay. There is a great one in Solstheim that i once used to create a whole playthrough. Neloth is a Telvanni mage who had a female assistant named Ildari Sarothril. She was obsessed with him and begged him to teach her all of his secrets. He ended up using her as an experiment for replacing a person's heart with a heartstone in order to gain great power. The experiment failed, and she died. Neloth had her body cremated, but later on we discover that she somehow survived and seeks revenge for what has been done to her. I roleplayed that Neloth also used her for sexual pleasure while she was with him, and created a dumner character who was the illegitimate son of this coupling. His background was that while his mother was alive, he lived in Neloth's house, but was never accepted by Neloth. After witnessing his mother's death through Neloth's failed experiment, he was kicked out of the house, and swore to get revenge. He travelled to Skyrim and lived in the Grey Quarter of Windhelm for a while, teaching himself the basics of magic and alchemy. Then he travelled to Winterhold and joined the Mage's College. His goal was to become powerful enough to punish Neloth for what had been done to his mother, and because he knew that Neloth was obsessed with the Black Books, he made it his mission to seek out as many as he could for himself and to prevent Neloth from having them. It made for a very interesting playthrough as my character struggled to grow as proficient in magic as he could, and to obtain all of the Black books.
Here's another option to add. After making the Thieves guild independent of Maven and destroying the Dark Brotherhood as an agent of the Penitus Oculatus thanks to mods, turn her daughter Ingun into a vamp slave/thrall. Seeing as most of my characters are Vampires/Death Knights Maven cant do jack against me.
@4:10 Bad news (for some players), to exile Maven, you need to join the Stormcloaks. On the other hand, as a Legionnaire, you can give Maven a pyrric victory where she's Jarl with no real power.
Just because you become Leader of the Dark Brotherhood, it doesn't mean you _have_ to follow the Night Mother. You're the only Listener, you can say what you want.
I'm in the middle of this RIGHT NOW. Also a bit off topic - when I got to Markarth I was so over the rude behavior and started slaughtering everyone. Including at least a dozen guards. That town is so full of a-holes, I didn't even have a bounty on my head afterwards. I waltzed in a few days later and it was like nothing happened. I got a few neat outfits out of it too. I might do it again.
There are several ways to do the Letrush horse theft. I usually go to Maven and tell her because it undermine her relationship with her son (in my mind). I kill the Black Briar mercenaries and still take the horse. I always felt that Layla Lawgiver was also supposed to be Jarl with either side of the civil war because she has some unique dialogue that only unlocks after you become thane and she says Ulfric is using the Talos worship excuse for his own ambition. There is also a book sitting beside her throne that says Riften used to be much bigger but, the citizens burned it down because the city had become so corrupt. I think you were supposed to be able to rat out Maven.
I've taken it even further.... Taken out all three of her kids, so that great Black-Briar dynasty...bye bye forever. Back story - Maven has a friend who 'likes' little girls...(read about this in a mod I was looking at using)..and she 'gave' my alt's best friend to him... once she became 'a bleeder' she was no longer of use... ('she's to old..I need another')....knew and seen to much..so was ☠⚰☠..and my alt went all out for vengence...She got it and GODS that play through felt SOOOOOOOO good.
Maven threatened to call the Dark Brotherhood on me once... While I was the Listener of the Dark Brotherhood. I really, really wanted to kill her right on the spot.
Believe it or not I've done this exact playthrough except 2 things I joined the dark brotherhood and I'd never thought of giving riften to the imperials then taking it for the stormclocks. I was a stormclock but only so she could never be jarl. Now I want to do it all again 😂
As an exile, she will end up in the basement of the castle in Solitude. Now she is out of the game. Console command her so she isn't essential. Since the game does not involve her anymore, you can kill her without breaking any scripts.
@@obstinateweirdo2401 that's not satisfying enough. A paralyze potion with about a three to five year in game time limit on the other hand. Double satisfying points if a lingering poison potion used right after on her. Make that essential status a curse!
Correction, it is better to become the leader of the dark brotherhood since the dark brotherhood cannot be fully destroyed regardless of what you do, they’re always gonna be two survivors. The clown will be a Survivor. If you choose to destroy the dark breath hood the vampire child will be a survivor regardless of your choice. The red guard will only be a survivor if you choose to join the brotherhood. The clown becomes optional to kill or spare if you commit to the brotherhood. In theory, if you become the leader of both the thieves, guild and dark brotherhood, you can have enough influence to give maven the middle finger if you’re associated with other powerful groups like the empire.
Hey BreachGaming, I have built my whole current game around finding ways to screw Maven, based on your brilliant idea. I refuse to set up my friend Brand Shei, who killed Maul for attacking me, after finding proof of Brand Shei's true family lineage. So, instead of sending him to jail, I just go punch a Riften guard, and when I get out of jail, Brynjolf is still eager to work with me. I have made an extremely powerful (thousands of seconds) paralysis potion, poisoned a weak arrow, and used a simple long bow to shoot her with it. It is exquisite to see her just lay there unable to speak or move. Unfortunately, she resets and walks again. Because I have abandoned to rest of the thieves guild quest line after the burning of Goldenglow, she is now always in the Bee and Barb. She waits, and waits, and waits, for me to meet her for the "Dampened Spirits" quest. But I will never show up. I have stolen all the Black-Briar mead around Riften, and now also sell cheap mead with my brother, Romlyn. Honningbrew Meadery continues to spank her tired Black Briar meadery. I tried to steal her clothes, but her clothing is not to be stolen. Her horse is gone and her lodge sits emptied. My next project is to see if she can actually be exiled, or not. Whether or not she will be exiled, at least I can screw up the Imperials having control over the Rift. I'm pretty sure that while the Rift is being handed over to the Stormcloak's, she will still be waiting for me in the Bee and Barb, to talk to me about Honningbrew Meadery. It has been so much fun to find ways to screw her over, and keep her out of the way, so I don't have to listen to her condescending voice. Thank you for your inspiration!
Mavens kids all have quests attached to them, but once those quests are complete, they're marked nonessential. Complete their quests with a smile, take their money and their condescending insults, and then END MAVEN'S BLOODLINE.

Some more choices I wish I'd known about for roleplaying a heroic Dragonborn:
- Joining the Thieves Guild isn't required to find Esbern in the main quest as the game leads the player to believe.

I always thought it was funny how Maven's only real threat against you is either sending thugs or the dark brotherhood after you.
OK, now show us how to take down the Silverbloods.
Ummm just join the Forsworn
I somehow always end up slaughtering the majority of Markarth. One time I had high bounty (there was an... incident earlier) but had to go there for the DB, speedran the Forsworn quest to go to jail and kill Madanach, got pardoned, then Serana IMMEDIATELY aggroed on someone and, well, we kinda killed everyone.
Right I definitely want to do that!!!
It's very easy after the Cidhna Mine quest you can just kill Thonar Silverblood whether you help the Forsworn or not
As for Thongvor you retake Markarth for the Empire and he's exiled
There is no need for a lengthy video
And then you can go to druadach redoubt without being attacked by forsworn and it's kind of cool
He's actually only supposed to spend a few days in jail and be released from my understanding.

Yes, but that doesn't change the fact that you'd have to fulfill black sacraments on others.to further Maven's agenda.
@@ohauss That's a good point. I'm going into very theoric area, but I think that there would be a very large number of contracts on maven considering how beloved she is to others😂

@@brazil460Because of Astrid, but the walls still hold the plaques stating the tenants.
@@brazil460 the tenets are:

Tenet IV.

I appreciate this level of pettyness to jab at Maven
The only part of this I wouldn't follow is exiling her, because I always will side with the Empire. Doing the rest might already be enough

I found a mod that let me put a new face on Riften's throne. It's called "A Better Tomorrow" it lets you oust maven for her crimes and put a new modded character on the throne. This means you can take console commands remove maven's essential status and take her and her fam down. But this is a great vanilla way to do this.
There's a mod to arrested Grelog the kind but as far as I can tell it doesn't work for me
Maeven isn't close to the Dark Brotherhood, she just performs the sacrament and employs them like anyone else (with money) can. The Thieves Guild is Maeven's baby.

Naturally, this is all in addition to seizing control of the Thieves Guild & the Dark Brotherhood through their storylines hehe
Just systematically taking everything that belongs to Maven, stripping her of her power and resources.
It was truly wild to see the thieves guild out but they just stood there and watched all the carnage unfold it’s pretty wild in my opinion
You wanna take down Maven Black-Briar?
Use Shadowman maven NPCs 25 - Maven a Cougar in Heat - Sexlab and Flower Girls.
There's an AOC video in my recommends, so I'm watching this whole video with AOC's face right next to it. Damn she looks like Maven!
I like your approach, and look forward to more videos of this nature :)
You know, I was hoping for mod recommendations. Alas, to the Nexus for the search.
A worthy quest, great video!
I would love to see a video like this on taking down the Silverbloods.

I kind of tend to make it a point to be the head of every possible faction.

The second most satisfying kills in Skyrim is Maven, just under the Thalmor! Lol😊
But if you're leader of the Dark Brotherhood, it's guaranteed sooner or later somebody is going to perform the Black Sacrament on Maven xD
I wish there was a mod to put dark brotherhood hits out on ppl.

Personally, I wish there was a way to recruit NPCs into the Dark Brotherhood. I'd scoop up that peachy poisoner Ingun...
Believe it or not I've done this exact playthrough except 2 things I joined the dark brotherhood and I'd never thought of giving riften to the imperials then taking it for the stormclocks. I was a stormclock but only so she could never be jarl. Now I want to do it all again 😂

If you continue with honningbrew quest make sure you let alive madman under brewery. some guy on reddit came with this idea.
I'll admit, starting the Riften Mead Party does sound appealing
I hate her never thought of this, thank you. Previously the best I could do was leave fire runes outside her front door.
I actually like Maven. I don't like Ulfric though, but I like the leader of Solitude, but I don't like the Thalmor. So many conflicting choices.
M'aiq disapproves! This one loves Mommy Maven!
We do know one thing for certain: from some reason she put a hit out on us, pre-game. That's how we get captured trying to flee to Hammerfell.
Based on what information cause the charector is caught crossing the border
I like these ideas for roleplaying.
Mavens kids all have quests attached to them, but once those quests are complete, they're marked nonessential. Complete their quests with a smile, take their money and their condescending insults, and then END MAVEN'S BLOODLINE.
