Cool video, I 100% support your decision to learn and teach others how to do this without scripts, especially since they can carry it into multiplayer and stop lagging the hell out of servers. Now, learn how to do this without having to use sorters and you'll really be on to something.

@@Morndenkainen thanks 👍, it was the use of scripts in servers that really got me to make this one. That and being a little short on time irl to sit and sort the inventory personally lol. Without the use of sorters or scripts well now that a challenge 👍

I just stumbled upon your train videos and was shocked to see how small your community is, you have a brilliant mind man keep it up, I would love to watch a train only survival series if u were up for it

In retrospect train only is very limiting but a train focused series would be epic

@@trent3783 not entirely sure how a dedicated series would go but my plan is on this save is to get to Mars a d that made me think about making a fresh start mars only with trains, something like "hail the omnissiah" 👍

btw. for the ResourceNodes exists an IratorEdit version which has a reduced thumb sound volume. You can also reduce it yourself editing the sound files with aud4c1ty, where i would suggest to put it down to even 25%.
Also if you like to play with mods, there is one which just reads the customdata of sorters where its much easier to configure them.
You maybe want to make a more in depth video, where you feed ALL your refineries with sorter based input of ore types. Like a consolidated input line where you can just switch sorters to feed it with specific ores. Too bad, we cannot filter for certain ingots, otherwise we could even let event controller manage those sorters, based on ingot availability ^^
Im sure your viewers would like that, at least console player ;)
Hint: add "console" or "vanilla" to the vod name - algo likes it

@@MichaelArlt I'll have to look into the volume for the resource nodes. I do like them for limited voxel destruction and unlimited ore production. I do like the mods.
With the sorters in my set up on the bigger version I really only needed one for all ore just for refineries. I only added the one for ice cause I needed a separate line and one for stone as a way of prioritising ore over stone in the refineries. Going in depth on a vid is an interesting idea.
Do you mean having multiple sorters for a single refinery line? I think I might be misunderstanding the goal at the moment.
I'll take your hint on board as well thanks👍

Thank you! This was really helpful I'm definitely gonna be using this all the time! Your videos are amazing :3

The sorter leading into the refinery should black list ice, then the one out of the refinery should blacklist ores, then the sorter out of assembler should black list ingots and pull all. Doing it this way you can skip the bypass reducing the complexity of the grid and reduce resources needed. Also, there should be a large cargo container that each sorter pushes inventory into.. this way if one step lags, it doesn't lag the entire process.

@@Lasrin I agree 👍. Kinda forgot the extra cargo during the build but I did mention tho 😁

What sort of mods do you have specifically for the HUD and the UI vanilla is bland I love the color contrast you have it makes things so much more appealing

So I have a suggestion for a video. I'm very new to SE. I'm only around 100 hours in. This weekend, I attempted to make a hydrogen drill ship, but I was confused why ice wasn't going into my engine. I believe everything was connected, I had a small grid hydrogen engine, h2o2 hydrogen and oxygen tanks. Was i missing something? Might make a good video

    • @sephykrayt
      @sephykrayt  4 дні тому

@@TheRealPhilG well first I was gonna suggest the live stream Vod that went up today since I build a hydrogen ship in it. Then I notes in the comment something you ether didn't add in the comment or didn't add to the ship, it's the o2h2 generator, that will produce some hydrogen to get your ship moving. Maybe even on to a hydrogen facility to fast refuel. Also check for the stockpile button and be sure it's off. And have another look at the conveyers or ports the engines and tanks are all connected too. Let me know if you have any luck with it👍

@sephykrayt no, i did the dyslexia thing and said h2o2 when I meant o2h2. But I'll look into it again. Thanks for the video recommendation though. I'll give it a look
