Unfortunately I can't currently get to my mod list on steam, just not loading don't know why at the moment and I can't remember them all off the top of head, however if your trying to get into the game I suggest first play around a bit with vanilla to get a bit of a feel then check out the most popular mods on workshop and see what you fancy. Id recommend tho "Hazard Rework" "ship variation mod" "weapon variation mod" "forgotten highways" and "show balance"

It does yes, however there's a catch the on board survival can't make large steel tubes for hinges for corner turn track so a small mod for small grid assembler has been added

Being careful in fleet actions is very time intensive due to the Ai limitations, hopeful in 7.0 might get a "keep at range" type of order

​@@sephykraytIf there was just a way to have all of my intercepters only 'intercept' in like a 5km bubble around each L ship, that'd be good enough. Maybe that's what position defense was for, but I never used it so who knows. Ultimately I took two actions: 1) Mass spamming ospreys because shot for shot they had the highest healthbars in the game for Ms in VRO 2) Mods. I used a mod on workshop that gave me a 'range boost' laser that did ass for damage but it hits at 30km. I had 32 of them on mobile platforms in the form of Syns. For the life of me I can't get these damn turrets to target weapons either. Station attacks in Star Wars Interworlds is far easier by comparison since stations can't noscope fighters in interworlds like they can in VRO, and fighters are basically the only thing that can reliably target guns unless you're doing it yourself.

Hmm now your asking, I think the best takeaway is that it feels like and unofficial expansion when it's coupled with the economy add-on as it's changes how I plan out my stations, I have enjoyed it especially those big guns lol

Yep, this is so, manually telling the ships to ignore being attacked with in sector combat only and moving a fleet step my slow step to keep at range is a massive pain. I thought with bombard for commander they would stay at range but nope, a shame

Yeah getting capital ships to behave themselves is a mini game in of itself, there had been quite a few moments of collision from many of the ships, one of my many wants from a future title is pathing and collision hitboxs to be tweaked

This is a Playthrough (in Silence of course lol), Where i am the Leader of a Lost group of Yaki Refugees looking to eek out some space and Build a New Faction, to this end they appointed an Emperor (Me, Ha) to reach out make Allies and build a Future for the Yaki and Defeat the Xenon that Drove us From our home during the Gate Realignment. Finding ourselves next to Terran space, who seek our eradication, times will be Difficult unless we reach out to the Commonwealth. Thats what he said ^^

Well it turns out this was a carrier with some kind of doomsday beam weapon that one shots a capital ship. I didn't change any of the xenon start sector they are just really good at conquest in to the CW sectors

@@sephykrayt Nice , I had to run around in my game ( just vanilla) to make defence station but its all balanced in a way but going to take down stations and see what comes from it! P.S i wish the xenon would make more use of systems instead of like 3 stations all the time but i think that all they really need!

exactly my first thought when i used the PHQ V2 mod. the astroud gone and the ring complete i thought "i could build a city around this" lol

i did notice VRO did feel a bit imbalanced but i will always play with ship variation and the weapon expansions pack, they just make things feel more alive and cooler

i9-10920X CPU @ 3.50GHz 3.50 GHz, 64GB RAM and a RTX 3070Ti. Runs all my games and endeavors quite well with a few exceptions and 1 or 2 games cause fans to speed up. X4 tho is Cpu heavy and not really Gpu heavy, the times i get Fps drops or lag is mostly cause im making the game do alot of work such as over 120 capital ships all at once attacking a target or a colossal industrial mega structure with all its subordinate crafts, all need calculating and really put the Cpu to the test. as for my actual FPS, i wouldnt know as i havnt used a fps monitor in a while

im not 100% sure, but form my playthough in this series i think it does put a bit of an extra demand on my system but not overly so, still get a lot of fun out of it, a bit harder than vanilla tho

Lore can be added too, im thinking Tyranids in 40k like, this Khaak is just the first wave before a bigger invasion with full on capital ships, would be nice for a type of end game crisis maybe. but Egosoft a small team and thats alot of effort, for now tho im quite content

not entirely sure about 1.9 but last time i check it hadn't been updated on workshop and i hadn't been on nexus mods yet to update from there, but steam would just over write with old version, as of my current version some of the mod ships still arnt usable since 6.0 came out

@@sephykrayt That's why I asked, because it is the "Ship pack VRO", not updated not on Steam, not on Nexus. Some ships do not have engines and turrets, waiting for an update)

whats the Ossian Raiders Mod like? Any good?

@@sephykrayt overall, yep. It's, depending on difficulty level, most powerful enemy in the Universe. Their stations have highest level of defence, they have Protector-class super capitals (15kk hull and higher). It's kind of challenge :)

i havnt teleported my PHQ yet to find out if VRO has issues but its on the to do list, so ill find out :)

In this play through its a custom start with all blue prints unlocked to start with to cut out a bit of time to mess about with VRO and I simply built them from my personal shipyard, having said that you can get an Asgard by buying from terrans on rep over 20+ or stealing one, maybe with reverse engineering mod to gain it's blue print. Also the flag ship I use in this play is the Ragnarok, an op version of Asgard for VRO

i just use the ingame cams, F1 is fps, F2 is your ship and F3 is target cam. and use the numpad to move the camera around, no5 resets the cam and + and - zoom in and out. sometimes you need to target something before you F3.

@@sephykrayt that is another reason why I like split ships they look really good with decent amount of paint schemes or none at all 🤪 like a sexy woman can look good with or without clothes 🙄😁

It is very good, but personal preference for me is the multiphase cannons. Always go with what you like the look and feel of, much more satisfying gameplay.

still processing the HD at the mo, it eventually goes to 1080p, still learning the ways of Twitch Vod Exports, gonna try a delay on the vid going up from the export to make it fully process before the public sees, a work in progress i guess
