My mom (age 88) and I just got back from a week in Costa Rica, our pre-Covid planned trip. She didn’t zip line like I did (I’m 65) but she did a hike and the rafting trip…and drank a dragonfruit margarita while I hiked around a volcano! Moms and daughters can have fun together at any age, we still DO! 🥰

I see another video with her in the future with her telling how she has kept herself so youthful looking and what tips she has for staying healthy and aging so gracefully, to include what foods she eats and what exercises she does to have aged so very well.

Your mom is so beautiful! I’m a personal trainer and train several senior Women ages 69-88. It’s absolutely shocking the difference I see in a person who has been active vs inactive through their lives. It definitely motivates me at 53 to continue my training for my future independence and vitality. I encourage all women to lift weights! It’s never too late. My 88 year old client has been through two hip replacements and she recovered far quicker than they anticipated. In fact they told her she’d never walk again but we proved them wrong. I love seeing Audrey’s vitality! My mom is turning 88 next month!
I just turned 56 and started lifting weights 3 years ago. I see my mother now, who just literally quit exercising at age 50 and now at age 83, she has neuropathy and is overweight. She is the reason for my motivation.... Keep moving!

I do hate women who feel they have to hide or deny their age. I will be 72 in December and I feel every birthday is a gift!!!! I shout it to the world proudly! I was in ER once and the doctor came in and saw my chart and said I think I'm in the wrong room. I was sent in to see 62 year old women. It was me and he couldn't believe it either. Staying healthy is the key for sure.
I went through a phase mid 40s where I didn't like saying my age not out of my own shame, but I could feel judgement. it ticked me if when people asked my age. and then seemed shocked like oh you don't look that old!! I'm thinking 47 isn't old!!!! so I hated it. but now at 56 I don't care lol.
I don't "hate women" who aren't comfortable stating their age. Better to lead by example and embrace your age than to hate others who may not be as brave as you or me.
I had a similar experience when I went for a covid jab - the staff were in a little huddle around the computer looking puzzled at my record, asked me to confirm my name again so I did, back to the computer looking confused, then back to me to ask my DOB so I told them.. that's when the nurse said 'oh, we thought your DOB on the record was wrong' ha ha (I'm 51)

My mom fell the same way. She ended up in intensive care with head trauma and 2 broken arms. Two years later she is living on her own again and doing fabulous at 89. It’s true, you become like a parent. She calls me when she’s going anywhere and asks me how to cook things. It’s all good though!
It’s so funny, listening to your mom telling the story of how no one at the hospital believed her age. That sounds exactly like my mom! She’s 101 now and still looks way younger than her age. Glad you’re on the mend Audrey!

I’m with you guys, I have been taking care of my Mom and mother-in-law for the last 3 years. Sometimes it’s like parenting teenagers again 😄 one is 90 and the other is 85 and they keep me on my toes. Lots of prayers for all of us going through this time in our life. ♥️🙏🏼🤗

Your mum is amazing! I work in healthcare and see elderly people all day… and I’m telling you…. She is AMAZING! The way she’s sitting on the bed… wow! Most ppl that age (or even 10 years younger) have trouble even lifting their legs onto a bed… letting alone sitting with them tucked under themselves. Just Wow!
Audrey is just WOW! Honestly, I never gave her age any thought because she seems ageless in my eyes! The oldest I thought was 75. 86, soon to be 87? God bless her! I too became my mother's caretaker, who said that she became the child and I the parent. Just facts of life. So glad your mom is doing better and she looks fabulous. Oh my God!! Dominique you and your mom just changed my life. I am 76 and take very good care of myself and eat great but the 76 haunts me even though people say I look younger than my age. Many days when I want to do things I used to do I let that stupid number hold me back. I do hate women who feel they have to hide or deny their age. I will be 72 in December and I feel every birthday is a gift!!!! I shout it to the world proudly! I was in ER once and the doctor came in and saw my chart and said I think I'm in the wrong room. I was sent in to see 62 year old women. It was me and he couldn't believe it either. Staying healthy is the key for sure.

I went through a phase mid 40s where I didn't like saying my age not out of my own shame, but I could feel judgement. it ticked me if when people asked my age. and then seemed shocked like oh you don't look that old!! I'm thinking 47 isn't old!!!! so I hated it. but now at 56 I don't care lol.
I don't "hate women" who aren't comfortable stating their age. Better to lead by example and embrace your age than to hate others who may not be as brave as you or me.
I had a similar experience when I went for a covid jab - the staff were in a little huddle around the computer looking puzzled at my record, asked me to confirm my name again so I did, back to the computer looking confused, then back to me to ask my DOB so I told them.. that's when the nurse said 'oh, we thought your DOB on the record was wrong' ha ha (I'm 51)

I’m In this part of life too, its called “The Middle Place “ when you’re still raising kids and taking care of our elderly parents. It’s challenging, sweet, and a blessing ! Audrey reminds me of my Mom and boy are they a handful ! Thanks for sharing her with us she’s the best ❤️

My mom fell the same way. She ended up in intensive care with head trauma and 2 broken arms. Two years later she is living on her own again and doing fabulous at 89. It’s true, you become like a parent. She calls me when she’s going anywhere and asks me how to cook things. It’s all good though!
It’s so funny, listening to your mom telling the story of how no one at the hospital believed her age. That sounds exactly like my mom! She’s 101 now and still looks way younger than her age. Glad you’re on the mend Audrey!

I’m with you guys, I have been taking care of my Mom and mother-in-law for the last 3 years. Sometimes it’s like parenting teenagers again 😄 one is 90 and the other is 85 and they keep me on my toes. Lots of prayers for all of us going through this time in our life. ♥️🙏🏼🤗

Your mum is amazing! I work in healthcare and see elderly people all day… and I’m telling you…. She is AMAZING! The way she’s sitting on the bed… wow! Most ppl that age (or even 10 years younger) have trouble even lifting their legs onto a bed… letting alone sitting with them tucked under themselves. Just Wow!

Audrey is just WOW! Honestly, I never gave her age any thought because she seems ageless in my eyes! The oldest I thought was 75. 86, soon to be 87? God bless her! And it is proof positive that taking care of yourself does mean a lot! She has a figure that is just beautiful. You tell Audrey that she has it going on! I would love to see her with a companion (perhaps that doctor who asks about her libido is available.....) I love your videos and I love the relationship you have with your Mama. It's pure love! My wish is for both of you to be happy and healthy, always, and just keep being the smart, amazing women you ARE! You deserve happiness, too, Dominique, but I will not equate that with having someone in your life. I too became my mother's caretaker, who said that she became the child and I the parent. Just facts of life. So glad your mom is doing better and she looks fabulous. Kuddos for Audrey telling us her age as that gives us encouragement for getting older and being able to blow and go. I hope I have that energy in the next 20 years.

Oh my God!! Dominique you and your mom just changed my life. I am 76 and take very good care of myself and eat great but the 76 haunts me even though people say I look younger than my age. Many days when I want to do things I used to do I let that stupid number hold me back. I will watch this video every time I get that way to let me know to continue taking the best care that I can of myself and to keep living the life I want. Hug your mom for me.
