Sweet Mach 1! I have a 03 Azure Blue Mach 1 5 speed. I ordered it in January 03 and got it in February 03. I still drive her today on weekends. Just love the Mach 1's great cars ! I really love the Eaton swap, that's awesome!
It sounds like you have a very nice Mach 1. I bought mine new as well. It’s getting rare to find one owner cars. Most of the Mach 1’s out there have had quite a few owners. Thank you for watching!
Thank you sir. As you name says built not bought. It's always easier to buy a car. But taking a car you bought 18 years ago and turning into a poor mans super car is much harder to do. Thank you again for watching.
Thank you. They are getting pretty rare. These cars are known for getting loose and finding the nearest tree or light pole. Thank you again for watching!
I drive to work every day and I pass a parked Mach 1 on the way to work... Its always sitting there... It reminds me of your Mach 1 videos... They are so beautiful and rare to come by. 😁 Not to mention one that has a ported blower. Just a real gem here. 😁 Love the setup, You would make a great garage buddy. 😸Can tell no expense was spared on this build. 😁
Wow! Thats really cool, I hope someday I can actually do a bunch of work on my 2000 gt, I love the shaker btw! I think it might look good with Cervinis Stalker 2 hood, assuming it would fit. Wicked build!
Hi Ed, thank you for watching. The WAP block I used is good for approximately 1300hp. The weak components are the rods and pistons but I built the engine in a clean room. It should conservatively hold 1000hp. The 4R70W transmission is built to hold 950 and the 9 inch should hold 1200 according to Strange Engineering. Right now I’m at 450hp and will be up to 550 when I swap in a Kenne Bell 2.2 that I just picked up. It’s a fun car for sure. Thank you for watching!
@@savage_mach1 Yes and I have it all the way forward with the K-member. To make it closer to the center I would have to notch the K-member. I recently squared the k-member and will probably leave it as is.
@@savage_mach1 Very true and I believe these are offset as well. The problem is these are the only ones with a spring perch. I am actually running Mach 1 springs which I prefer.
Thank you for watching Tavis. I planned out the engine and built it from scratch. I took my time and did everything from blueprinting the block to porting the heads and intake. It was a fun build and did a whole series on it. ua-cam.com/play/PLMlejYTNYFtmFpB8LdajY_h8Noe9DxkKc.html Thank you again for watching!
All that goodness should easily be 500 hp and 600 lbs on a mild tune, what is the current Eaton 4v hp record? I thought it was just over 800 last I heard in a 2v 4v argument I was involved in
Sweet mach Mike! Love all of your videos. Very informative!
Thank you very much Brandon!
Sound great always love new New edge Mach one One of my favorite mustangs great build
Thank you Greg and thanks for watching!

Thank you very much for the kind words. I try my best to do a good build and do it right. Thank you again for watching!
Nice work Mike 😁🏁
Thanks Sally!
Well done , during the cruise video consider touching on the work done with the transmission / drivetrain, suspension, brakes, fuel and cooling.
Very good point. Thank you!
Very Nice Build Sir! That looks and definitely sounds amazing!
Thank you Street Fox!
Eaton swap is worthed just for that whine.
Agreed. I had to rebuild or restore a lot of the swap parts. Thank you for watching!
We definitely have to do some cruising once you get this beast on the road.
Absolutely, thanks for watching!

Thank you very much. It’s taken a lot of effort to get it to this point!
Great job Mike! Lots of work into this Mach 1, but your build is incredible. Thanks for sharing 🙏🏻
Thank you very much for your comments and kind words.
Does it come supercharged stock? I recently bought a stock 04 mach 1 with 89k miles for $7500 its in great condition.
Thank you for watching Philip. From the factory they are naturally aspirated. I added a ported supercharger when I rebuilt the engine.
I'm not sure if I would put a supercharger on an aluminum block. Wouldn't last long in my opinion.

Great video and walk around. I really like how the trans controller is under arm rest. Neatly done
Thank you sir, I'm in the process of tuning the tranny now. Trying to get the shift points where I want them to be. Thank you again for watching!
Great overview, really nice build overall
Thank you sir!
Looking forward to seeing the car on those Afs wheels. Also what k member are you running?
Running the BMR Kmember with low mileage oem springs and tubular a arms with a spring perch. I like oem ride height and spring rate.
@@MikesGarageRoute66 interesting I noticed your front wheels look like there set back a little bit
@@savage_mach1 Yes and I have it all the way forward with the K-member. To make it closer to the center I would have to notch the K-member. I recently squared the k-member and will probably leave it as is.
@@MikesGarageRoute66 just was curious I know QA1 k members have a slight off set as well as you can get offset a arms from maximum Motorsports.

Nice job Mike. Looking real good. Dyno tune coming soon?
Hopefully soon, need to get the emissions done and chairing down a few leaks.
Mike, that was a great walk-around and well presented. I really love what you’ve done with car. Great video👌🏼🏁
Thank you Paul!

Very impressive. Who did you get to do the work on your engine?
Thank you for watching Tavis. I planned out the engine and built it from scratch. I took my time and did everything from blueprinting the block to porting the heads and intake. It was a fun build and did a whole series on it. ua-cam.com/play/PLMlejYTNYFtmFpB8LdajY_h8Noe9DxkKc.html

The car looks great! Love the direction you took it in. Are you going to put the AFS wheels on soon?
Once I build the rear end. Don’t want to put on sticky tires with 28 splined axes. Right now the summer tires on these rims are the weak link.

Thanks Jim. I’m hoping for 530 with the auto. It sounds really healthy!
Sweet car, Mike, very well cared for, and I appreciated the engine build.
Thank you John. I've tried my best to take care of it. My dad always told me to take care of your cars. Thanks again for watching.
