I have one of my Audi A6 C6 Cars (A6 C6) The Auto position on the headlight switch will not allow the headlights to turn on. Manual ON works. I understand that the headlight and rain sensor are all in one, and mounted by the mirror on windshield. However, the auto wipers work. In Auto mode wipers will sweep when sensor has water beads. Any ideas?
Unfortunately on my 2008 buick lacrosse it's on the dash and I have no clue how to get it out without removing the entire dash. Also my running lights don't come on at all even with manual.😢
Hi I have a 2005 saturn veu v6 I crashed the front and since then the passenger side front headlight is on but look like they off because they look realy weak. I don't know what is wrong with it?
On most toyota cars it should be on the dashboard near the windshield (interior of the car) it should be round black plastic part ; i hope i helped you
The AUTO does NOT turnnon your headlights. It runs your daytime running lights whichbis not the legal light level. Also, doesnt turn on tail lights. People...you MUST TURN YOUR OWN DAM LIGHTS ON!!
@@shenalally2214 you are just totally lost and confused. Daytime running lights turn on automatically when the car starts, with no option to defeat them. "Auto" turns the headlights from daytime running light mode to low/high beam when the light sensor detects low light. Some people accidentally select "off", instead of "auto", then they drive around with just the daytime running lights on. But that's not what you posted...
@@MattPSU02 I am aware daytime running lights come on when your knob is set to AUTO. What I am saying is you have to turn that knob to ON to actually turn on the OTHER light bulb AND the tail lights. Most people drive a car qith this auto feature and believe it turns the actual headlights and taillights on. The legal lumens required for a headlight is not the same output as a daytime running light. Before you continue qith tour name calling check your own research. Thank you. - Officer Lally, Retired
Just make sure your taillights come on with your auto feature. Impala taillights come on but most all other cars drive at night with low level DAYtime running lughts and zero taillights.

Lol I had my mask on top of the sensor. Thanks dude!
My headlights comes on but the auto setting stopped working. It used to work. Is there a fuse for auto setting?

fuse or relay might have gone and the sensor can still break even if the rain one is still working

Hello
Where is the automatic light sensor of the Citroën C4 car located?
The sensor also helps your dash lights (radio, etc) adjust to the ambient light in car.
Ok shena.
Does anyone know where the sensor is at on a 2016 Avalon Hybrid?
On most toyota cars it should be on the dashboard near the windshield (interior of the car) it should be round black plastic part ; i hope i helped you
