*THIS. CHANNEL. IS. UNDERRATED.*
i agree, this is very good content !
Ayeeee I dig that Corridor Digital hat!
Man.... its weird to see a short video that gets to the point and nails the details. Makes me wish you had longer ones with even more detail :p good job guys ! keep it up :)
We've been toying with the idea to do longer screen-cap tutorials on the channel for a while. What sort of stuff would you like to see?
@@TheFilmLook Something possibly detailing sound levels? I feel its almost a lost art really with alot of youtubers wacking there Audio to Minus 6. Whilst really you want a range of sound with dialogue at minus 12, and other sounds below it, which means you have some headroom for BIG SOUNDS etc if that makes sense?
I have an older video on mixing for a short film here: ua-cam.com/video/7x5SnoftgUw/v-deo.html
It talks about the levels we like to set everything in a range; dialogue, foley, sfx, hard sounds, music, etc.
Let me know what you think. I might even update it.
I’ve really been enjoying the recent influx of sound videos. Sound is something I need to work on more so thanks!
No problem! We very likely have a few more coming soon.
Yaaas!! Corridor hat! nice!
Paying our respects, one piece of merch at a time
Very solid video! I love how you did a bit of subtle marketing by showing the spectral display so experienced folks can see how clean your footstep sounds are! :))
Fantastic tutorial. Was looking for some tips and basically found the foundation for a workflow.
Excellent advice - thank you!
Thanks for walking us through this!
...and the winner of 2019's best comment award goes to! *drum roll*
Awesome, great tips! Thank you!
No problem!
Veryyy useful tips! Haha this’ll save me sooo much time thanks guys:)
Cheers Jordan!
THANK YOU!!!!!
Thank you.
Thank you! :-)
No problem!
great 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
man im so bad at sound design, these are so usefull
Great to hear!
Thanks , this was a tremendous help. Btw what sort of video editor/compositor are you working with ?
We use all the different Adobe products. So Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition.
If you have the budget, for $79 I recommend Edward Foleyart Instrument (Kontakt plugin) for footsteps. You can do this in about an 1/8th of the time, similarly by tapping keys on the keyboard, while choosing shoe/surface type, mic perspective, distance, etc.
Oh this looks awesome! Will check it out. Do you know if they have a demo?
@@TheFilmLook I don't believe so, but check out some clips of it in action on YT. I used it for the first time last week and was blown away how easy and versatile it is.
@@katlis definitely will have a closer look. Thanks for the suggestion!
Awesome tips! I have had much trouble with syncing footsteps so this will help me a lot! Is it the same if you hit M on the timeline in Premiere? Because I use Premiere for audio.
Yeah Premiere has markers and I do believe M is the shortcut on there too. Should work exactly the same!
@@TheFilmLook ok, great :-)
Hmm, I interesting. I always do them live. Normally it takes me till take 20
