Thanks for watching, from all of us at Matt's off-road recovery!
This was me in the stuck Tundra! Just wanted to say thanks again to Matt and Tom Tom for getting us out of our predicament! My kids were soooo excited that we finally got stuck and had to call Matt and his crew. We are long time fans and the MORR crew are as good of people as you'll ever meet. World class!
So is craw control not really like they claim?
@@KMT15 Tundras don't have "crawl control" like the Tacoma's with off-road package. We do however have lockers front and rear. In this particular situation when the sand is stacked so high on the peaks of the dunes from high winds there just isn't anything for the tires to grip. The sand is just too soft and deep. I do not believe "crawl control " would have had a different outcome. The lighter weight of a Tacoma however might have.
@@hanspeterson5000 thanks for getting stuck for our entertainment!
So glad you were able to call the Team.
I used to live in the desert near St. George but had to come back east to buy a new vehicle so I can return to the area that I love so much.
It's been tough for these past two years, but watching the guys do recoveries in the desert is keeping me inspired to keep working towards my goals. Several times, they have driven past a campsite that I stayed in. It's always great to watch these videos!! As soon as I get back there, I'm definitely going to swing by the shop and buy myself some sweet MORR gear!
What brand bumpers are on the truck?
So sweet how Matt gave Lady a quick cuddle before putting her in the back :-)
Yeah, she's a bit heavy from Ed's love..
And then almost smashed peanuts tail in tailgate😬
@@danjones1365 Yeah, that stopped my heart for a second. As it came down, I saw she moved it out of the way - it was close, though!
😂
Rhett is a great member of the team. Whether he's in the customers vehicle while it's being recovered, or slinging the camera and commentating, he does a great job.
True that.
Free labor🤣🤣
runs in the family?
He is
Matt is not impressed with that tree for strapping to it. I bet the decades old trees and plants that get mangled by off road vehicles and winch lines are not impressed either lol
Matt: Jamie is going to be cautious on this uphill seeing as it's a rental
Jamie: Immediately floors it
LOL
My cousin has one of those 392 rubicons, can assure you, that was not the floor 😅 not even close 😅 not even the end at the corner lol, those will easily wrap the tach and speedo 😂 theyre a riot lol
When Jaymie tried to climb the hill at 8:12, Matt said that she was kind of timid because it's a rental. That driving did NOT look timid to me! She had it *floored* a few times. And it sounded great. Impressive!
I was going to ask them , but maybe you could tell me since they don't ever seem to ever respond to my inquiries nor give me a like or whatever....... But why r they needing to rent anything? Why have they been able to go and buy people all sorts of very expensive gifts , yet they don't buy a jeep or Wrangler? 🤔 Maybe I missed the video where they explained this to the audience,I tend to miss lots ... Thank you if you , or someone who sees this can explain this to me, it just seems like they've had it for along time, and that's money in the fire pit as far as I'm concerned.
@@wynottgivemore9274 I always assumed it was their Jeep & they rented it out to customers.
@@dalegrover7633 i don't think so...not the way jamie loves it...
@@dalegrover7633 I thought that too. Jaymie says at one point that it's "hers", and it has the MORR standard Milestar Patagonia tires which aren't super common otherwise.
I think you’re all getting somewhere. This was also down at EJS and Jaime drove it the whole time. Rumor had it, Matt had just bought it for her. I think he is just trying to stay humble about buying a 392 (aka a $100,000 Jeep) and not trying to flex and be gaudy with it, which is very respectable if you ask me.
There's so much darkness, hatred, meanness, and downright evil in the media available for consumption these days. I'm so thankful for wholesome channels like this that put out goodness, kindness, love, and decency into the world. Keep being a light in the darkness. Thanks for not hiding your light under a bushel. Let it shine; let it shine.
' Jaymee is a bit timid as it's a rental , lets see how it goes getting up this hill ' ... cuts to the Jeep pinned to the limiter & taking the hill like a boss .... lol
What a treat it is to watch MORR. Fun, interesting, informative content provided by honest, hardworking people. I can't get enough of it.
It was cool to see the delayed pull on the stuck truck. It really shows the difference in Kinetic. The MORRvair was no longer pulling, but the kinetic energy stored was still doing its job.
Connecticut for the win!
@@JohnFL Sheesh, kids these days.😲
🙃
kinetic energy stored is called potential energy 😁
I am a heavy lift rigger and the shackle you held up is called a screw pin shackle. very common and used in every crane rigging lift. excellent tool for all heavy lift applications including recovery.
Hey Matt Jamie in a ""RENTAL"" ????🤔🙄 Where's her Jeep at ??? Those are ""Clevis "" back in the day ,,,NOT Shackles !!!🤗😑 Good recoveries ALL around !! Looks like the dogs had a good run for sure !! 👍👍👍👍👍
Matt I'm 59, and have been a VP supervisor of manufacturing of tri-plex mud pumps, directional drilling, and mud cleaning system units in all variations. This was comprised of several different shops all working in unisor. Also I had the duties of working with several different office departments.
What I wanted to say was Lizy is a gem! Only wish her personality could be feed to several people who I've worked with in those shops. Matt, Matt, I hope you know your so lucky to have a bubbly person who does the work she does. One thing though, please don't let her spray paint with out a mask even outdoors like she did at the games.
Love your channel and all the people you have around you. God bless.
Matt an his team has got to be some of the friendliest folks out there ! They always seem to be happy to help whoever needs it no matter what kinda of situation the customer is in , Matt will not give up till the job is done as safely as possible ! Thanks for sharing your adventures and knowledge with us! ✌️❤️🙏
Nice to see one of my Trail Toys Tundra bumpers being put to use. And yeah, she's connected to the frame just fine. Keep up the good work Matt and crew!
Amazing how "rentals" come equipped with Patagonias and bead lockers...😉
And a V8
When you rig up a winch line just to not embarrass the customer. Keeping it classy MORR!
I just love how the dogs are a part of the crew. I firmly believe that they believe that they are on a search and rescue mission . :-)
Paw Patrol
12:23 That man was so excited with the t shirt. I think it means way more when you get one from a recovery as you have a cool memory to go with it.
1. Imagine having a side by side and not wanting it to get scratches.
2. The roar from that Wrangler is awesome.
3. When Tom said "We're going in the back way", my inner 12 year old giggled.
Imagine judging someone for wanting to care for their stuff. Big deal. It ultimately fucked up over it's theirs
I thought the same about the SXS
Jamie is a natural off roader - nice driving on the uphill!!
She understands the main rule. "When in doubt, hit the throttle"
Well, Matt did that, but couldn't turn it around too.😁
Bow ring. We call that a clevis around here both in farming and construction.
At 11:24 the style of shackle is an “anchor” shackle. Great video. Thanks.
Matt, have you made a (towing sling )for your wrecker? it could help to prevent damage, stop the vehicle from hitting the wrecker when in tow more stable pull, and a secure connection to hookup as it acts as a cradle for the tow, an easy fix. Great channel, never a dull moment.
"Precariously perched on a precipice" - I am astounded by your awesome alliteration...
You guys are too cool!! That 392 rental is a bad machine. I am concerned about Matt getting burnt out!. Dude..., slow down a little and delegate some more to the crew.... Safe travels Perry
The smile on the customer's face at 12:16 said it all. I think he was very happy to be out, and to be getting a T-shirt!
JUST missed Peanut’s tail in the hatch door!!!!😮😮😮😮😮😮
Do you not have a dog with a tail? I can’t imagine you do because you’re statement comes off like Matt did something wrong. That dog is completely aware of where her tail is. My dog sets his on fire and beats the crap out of people’s legs with it.
Your condescending tone is completely inappropriate. Look how Matt treats his animals and people. I can’t stand Matt personally but he’s incredibly kind to both animals and people. He is a person who makes excuses for his actions- gives advice constantly that doesn’t apply to him but he’s awesome with pets and you need to gather you 33 cats and afghan, climb back on the sofa and check to see if you took all your medication today.
Steve miller, I suggest you may want to relax a bit! I too noticed the tailgate very close to the tail. 😀 Heh heh, have some coffee, enjoy the day👍
Nice rescues by the Morr Crew. Jamie drove that Rubicon like a pro.
That 392 sounds beautiful going up that sand hill!
Do you have any idea how many rescues you've done? It's cool you can show us all the different Scenarios of getting stuck then getting rescued by you and your company! I really like all the things Matt's off road recoverys do for the people in their hours of need! You've shared all of your builds, your rock crawling, the Shenanigans of the fun you have in your off time! Your Generosity and how you pay if forward and give back to the community's! It's a wonderful thing you do for the people! Thank you for that. Til next time, take care, stay safe, and we'll see you on the next...
Matt, thanks for taking the time to explain the difference between a bow shackle and a D-ring. I always enjoy learning new information and just a portion of your work life.
@ approx 11:20moins; A perfect example of why you should carry a set of Max tracks if you're going wheeling! 🤔And Matt, you know that you should have them on every one of your rigs🧐🤨😉🤙👍!?!
If max tracks get you out, you were never really stuck in the first place.
Change my mind.
Good morning Lady is definitely spoiled since she seems to enjoy being picked up and carried. Peanut is getting better at jumping up into the MOORVAIR.
I always enjoy your videos because I never know what to expect
Matt, you and your team are great with the dogs. They look healthy and happy because of the respect they are given.
11:40
I agree with the bow shackle, but your "D Ring" would be a regular shackle for me.
For me, a D Ring is a single piece of metal, Shaped like the Letter D, used in some rigging cases for connections, but mostly as an attachment point in different straps (Usually far less load bearing)
Thats how i learned that.
Let me tell you something it will be useful for most of people... If you get a cut and it's bleeding or bleeding is not stopping,, trying Putting some brake oil on the wound and then pressure on it with a peice of cloth it will stop bleeding... Trust me It helped me everytime 😊
12:58 ufo 👀 watching above your head talking about your wounds from the spikes Ouchey!!!
Jamie slapping a tee shirt on that guy was priceless! 😅
I love it when Jaime comes with you and helps out. A cohesive family unit. We need more of this and less of the Kardashians.
who watches them, OH, YOU,, SAD sad sad.
Those dogs have the best life. You can tell that they love it when they are out on their runs, that they absolutely love it!
"The fastest, most capable vehicle in the world is a rental "- Jeremy Clarkson
I can tell you a story one time I rented a Ford four-wheel drive back in like 96 it was a explorer I took it 4 Wheeling and there was this little bit of a jump and I told my friends let's jump it so I backed up and then I said now let's back up a little more backed up a little more and went for it man we launched that thing came down Bam the right tire shoved up into the wheel well and was about a inch from the top of the wheel. and the driver side was about the regular height about 6 in from the wheel.Well so nevertheless we bent something I told them we got ran off the road by a drunk driver LOL thank God for LDW
@@dcformee123 great story!
Always buy the $7 insurance.
Especially a “392” Wrangler ‼️
Speed and power!
The Mighty MORRVair is still my favorite MORR vehicle. So cool! 😎👍
Nice job see sawing the sxs out of there. A mate and I did similar back early 70's with a FJ45 that slipped off the edge of the track in tropical rain forest.
Those are some lucky dogs to have a place to run like that.
Thank you for going back to towing videos!
Tree saver! the trees you have are mere bushes to us in Canada!...love the channel!
LOVE seeing the banana on recoveries. There are other recovery vehicles, but the banana will always be my favorite.
That rig looks beautiful matt❤😊 hope the wrecker gets a new interior roof like this👏👏👍👍💖💖
My dad would have called that "bow shackle" a Cleavus and we used to skid logs out with them for selling the firewood or selling the logs to the mill. Its kinda amazing the pulling power you could get out of those old Dodge power wagons. You wouldn't think it could skid an old growth Douglas fir log that's 32 foot long and four foot through the butt.
When I was logging up out a Logan in Northern Utah we we using CATS to skid logs the same size. That is some beautiful country, but I like Oregon better.
When you've got kids seatbelts are a thing especially offroad, I had this discussion with my sister many times before she and her husband were killed in an accident and their three children were critically injured and left orphans. SO...
You are simply the best, Matt! Incredible skills in knowing just what to do to get vehicles out. And your great personality keeps everyone happy.
Always like watching the dogs run, Lady and Peanut are living the best dog life
some people are sure fortunate to have MORR!! I am glad to have the entertainment!!!! Keep doing what you do Matt and company!!!!!
Rhett. and old skool unstick'n. Great way to start the day.
That boy is the calmest kid I've seen. Anything ever get him riled up?
You all did a fantastic job!! I don't like getting within 20 feet of a Russian olive tree!! That guy in the side-by-side was about as close to going for an unwanted ride as he could get without actually taking it! LOL!! Nice job see-sawing him out! The guy on the sand dunes might have been ok if he hadn't slowed down for people in front of him. You didn't have too much trouble getting him out. I'm surprised that he was doing so well with the truck he had. GREAT video!!!
I used my "Matt's Offroad Recovery Rope" for the first time last weekend. It's amazing how well it works!
Perfect rescues !!! Perfect team and cars !! Perhaps you could 1 day per year as a trees plant’s day !! They helped you so much and so many times that you could something with trees… just a simple suggestion. Take care ! We love you !!!
Matt get a snake handlers rod for running tree savers around the truck. It keeps you out of the prickers and away from sleeping snakes.
8:27 - kudos again to the person who invented shoulder harness seatbelts. That’s right up,there with the electric lightbulb.
Well done EVERYONE !!! 👍🏽👍🏽. Jamie u crack me up 🤣 !!
" Ok hunny that's enuf " ( or something like that 😅 )
Living in the north east and having to deal with heavy snow all winter. Your setup for fluffy sand is very close to our setup. Except. We normally use thiner tires with larger luges to bight in the snow better
Thanks for doing what you do and sharing it with us.😊
Your always prepared to prevent these off-road vehicles and pedestrians who may be precariously perched on a precipice from perishing. You possess great purpose and perception and never pass up an operation to protect and emancipate these people back to preservation. LOL that took way to long but it was worth it.
D Shackle for Staying eg static loads,, Bow shackle for lifting pulling swinging
TY Matt for the clarification on the "D" ring . Im a sailor and its a shackle .
Let me get this starlight, he want to go off road, through some of the roughest terrain in the country and did not want to scratch his paint. O-Kay good luck with that.
That was a brilliant recovery! Wow. 👌🏼 Always impressed to watch Matt's physics lessons. 😁 👍🏼
It's so easy to walk on water when you know where the rocks are! No drama, made it look so easy.
Anchor shackle vs chain shackle. Both used in “ overhead” lifting as long as they are Load rated. The bowed style is the anchor. At least in TX they are. In the NE they probably call them clevises.
Jaimie, you are my Hero! always just facing obstacles with a smile....
I love how good Matt and team are with the Puppies.... 🐕🐕
Its never time to panic that's when things go real bad. thorny plants are the worst. Its hard not to get frustrated while getting injured and being in pain.
Thanks for videos, I enjoy each of them. Somehow I may have missed the story behind the rental jeep...keep seeing it arround but not sure of the story behind..
Howdy y’all from Tennessee. Glad to see another video
Great job, Jaime!!! You kicked buns on that hill!
That stock Rubicon sure does sound good 😅
It's a 392
well I met a tow truck driver yesterday who was moving 2 cars for us. I had on one of Pauls hats. guess what he’s a subscriber of roy and all of you
wow small world
Dont stop here! This is Matt country!
Also: Thats a Rubicon, press the button and disconnect the front swaybar!
Wow Matt she did a great job driving. So good I think you ought to that Jeep for her birthday.😊
What happened to the roar of the MORRvair? I know that some engines need more back pressure to create more horses. But I sure miss the good sound. Good work all around, thanks for posting.
In Michigan in the 1950s (ish), Autumn Olive was used as a quick spreading ground stabilizer during highway construction.
Now, it's as invasively all as bad as what you were digging into to put the tree saver on.
I am not a fan.
I have not seen the technique used on pulling out the SXS! I will remember that one!
Smiling!
Jamie looked good coming up the hill; Like a pro!
Great recovery Matt, TomTom, Jamie , Rhett, Lady and Peanut. Rhett has grown since he’s come on board. Smooth. Jamie has come a long way. Matt’s Lucky yo have a very supportive family helping. 🤙😎
Great job MORR team...Jaime especially...getting comfortable doing the driving...easy day...
Has nobody commented on the morvairs new super charger!?!!
Lol, that’s exactly what I think of hearing that old mechanical fan. Love the videos Matt and crew!!
Never heard the term "bow" shackle until a couple videos ago, despite using these same shackles (with various weight capacities) on construction sites all the time.
Great video guys I was a little nervous when Matt shot that tailgate there at the end. I just knew ladies tail was in it.
Awesome rescue the family at the end, nice truck he had still got stuck. And those shots previous in this great, and seeing Jamie getting up the dirt trail gj
There is joy, amid the sand. Tom, and specifically Jaymie, and Matt are a lovely container, for us.🙏🏾
What you are referring to as a "bow" shackle is actually an "Anchor" shackle. And what you are referring to as a "D" shackle is technically a "Chain" shackle. There are several other highly technical shackles for various types of rigging. So for off-roaders, a screw pin anchor shackle is best.
"she's a little bit timid" as the 392 roars and the rear end fishtails from a dead stop.....
Great seeing the dogs running.
I hope that they bought the insurance. You guys saved the day again.
Another great fun and friendly video. And I was reminded of my saying (which my wife hates): "Let's just Go For It. It's a rental anyway"
More from MORR ! Thanks for sharing !
@MattsOfRoadRecovery you need to wear a pair of your @MattsOfRoadRecovery gloves!😂 protect those
fingers. Awesome recovery
392 in that Wrangler? Sounded great. Strong driving by Jamie.
Timid??????? NOT!!! Way to go Jamie!!!
Great driving Jamie!! Love your videos Matt!!
