How do you find the motivation to upload so regularly/learn so many songs? Do you spend most of your practice time learning songs? I usually just noodle around on the kit lol, I’m just so lazy to learn songs, especially when you have to learn the exact way/fills or at least close to what the drummer is playing. I haven’t uploaded for awhile now lol. Great job on the cover as usual btw!

I just love to play drums honestly hahaha so when it comes to doing stuff for UA-cam it’s fairly easy to get it done considering I do everything myself besides the mix. the process of tracking and filming gets stressful sometimes but I just try to keep a balanced head during all of it.
for practice it’s pretty balanced. whenever I’m behind the kit I’m either legit practicing, whether that be just openly playing whatever, to a click, or to tracks which most of the time are hip hop related because that gives me the most space to play and come up with new shit, OR I’m tracking for a cover. I never learn/practice covers on the kit, I do all that on literally a pillow 😂 less hectic and energy draining and to me just more peaceful to feel what I’m learning/playing rather than bashing on the kit and also having to worry about how it sounds. I love learning songs though. I get how it can seem boring or stressful or just like tedious and unnecessary work, but like I said earlier I just love playing the drums, so challenging myself and in the case of learning other people’s drums, my ears, really has improved and expanded both my playing and listening a lot more than I would’ve ever thought. Luke Holland opened my eyes to really taking the time to learn someone else’s writing and in return I develop a whole new love and appreciation for the music I cover. oh, genuinely liking the music you decide to learn also helps with the whole motivation thing too hahah like I don’t think I’ll ever cover something just because it’s popular or it’ll get me views. all the music I upload on here I fuck with heavy so I’m just happy we’re in the age where we can share that and also add a part of ourselves to it.
