The road has been waiting, you’re anticipating The spirit you felt way back when...! Riviera is BACK! A classic again! It’s a legend once more what the road’s waiting for Riviera; a classic return. OH! THE GREAT AMERICAN ROAD BELONGS TO BUICK!!!!
I have an 89 also. Had it since 2008. Had 55,000 miles then has 106,000 now. Something about these cars I just love. Hated the way they looked in the 80’s. Thought they looked old ladies car. But 14 years later I still enjoy driving it.
I have an uncle who has a Riviera. But it’s from 1992 and he customized it to blend into the 21st century a few years ago. Gave it a CD player radio and put the regular Buick emblem on the back of the car
I bought a new 1989 Buick riviera when I was 20 years old in 89 it was such a great car I never had any problems with it I’m sorry I traded it in on a 1992 Lincoln mark 7
This car is still on the road here in Denmark as of October 2019...I just fixed the digital IC and some small stuff for inspection/MOT/TÜV. I do not own this car, sold it 5 years ago, but it occasionally comes to me to be serviced or repaired, but there has only been minor repairs..I’m impressed by the durability of these cars! This car was imported from North Carolina in 2007 and is still absolutely rust free.
I sold mine when the digital screen began to fucked up for peanuts. Too bad because it ran so good. the 3.8 L was perfect power for the size. I was making 8L/ 100 km on the highway. the same I do with a new Elantra GT 2014, but far more powerful and comfortable. Shit I miss that car.
I miss my 89 Riviera like you wouldn't believe.

This video is from 9 years ago and it's still a beautiful car.
touch screen in late 80's... The control of every car system with touch screen is option from middle of 2010's!!! Awsome! This Riviera ahead of time!

Yeah, it’s a strong car, this car on the video is still running and driving, not as a “collector car”, but year round daily driver….
I don't know anything about cars but that's the one I'd have, midnight blue and everything (but I'd go with fabric seats instead of leather).

had a 1990's Riviera absolute wonderful car, love the 2 doors, and the gadgets....
How did you put the aftermarket radio in it? Im tryna run subwoofers but cant cuz the factory touch has integrated climate controls
My first car in the early 2000's. Badass but smelled like something died in there. I didn't keep it long because of that.
I had an 89 and that touch screen started to act up on me where it wouldn't illuminate all of the time. No one could fix it for me.
That screen is like a pipboy from fallout
If you have the means. I highly recommend picking one up >> If you can find one !
