In my husband's case, dementia was a tremendous gift of grace from God because it allowed him to let go of his rational mind and finally accept Christ into his heart. He was finally baptized at the age of 85. Glory to God!

Greetings, ☦️Fr Demetrius we thank christ for you. soul of man and woman is crying for christ deep inside he doesn't know whats missing he labors in vain he searches for happiness in worldy objects but its temporary than he continues his search until death came and he didnt repent, O breathen do not store up treasures on earth. for no one can buy his way into the kingdom of GOD. Only if they knew what awaits them after death, it is not as a ending dream but this torment has no ending

How can we be saved if we are not worthy of grace Geronda?
We are not worthy, but God gives it to us as a gift when we search and repent. Actually, the word "grace" means "gift."

Metropolitan Demetrius why during vespers the reading so quickly?
They read the Psalms and akathist very quickly because they know them very well, and can understand them at that speed. The monks aren't going to watch Netflix after the service. They are either going to work with their hands, or to pray. Go and spend a week at a monastery, and you will see.

@@OrthodoxIslands Yes! A few times. An incredible experience! I'm sorry, I just realized my reply came off as condescending, I didn't mean that at all
Generally, the monastery maintains a lot of traditions from Mount Athos. The daily services have a quicker pace, while the feasts are much more solemn and majestic (and slower).
Father , i want some answers from God but more and more it seems like i am surrounded by idiots [im tired of devil worshippers, im not in sinless shoes to say this but some stuff is really annoying ] trying to slander God or his church in many ways, from the smallest bullshit reasoning to some heavier stuff, trying to make me distance with X or Y dramas.
{not to mention the attempts to lose my memory or constant attacks of forgetfulness , out my character which have been extremely annoying and out of my character since i am heavily detail oriented}
When my torment continues without explanation regarding what i truly care and want an answer to and sick of only explanations i get is that "it's worthless".
I began even distancing from prayer in an enraged, tantrum fit in it's nature rooted that i don't believe that God will give me the answer i seek and will be another wait and disappointment or followed by weak explanations that make me feel like i am taken for a stupid child who is denied from knowing the whole picture of what actually goes on.
What should i do?
This something i want answers about been a precious thing in my life and with heavy emotional value but all the explanations i got before been dry and weak with not much proof of their claims...
With humility, patience, and repentance, God will sort everything out for you.
