@@jademorgan7518 It's a green seed pod that is usually a southern-style side dish. You can batter it and deep fry it, put it in succotash (a seasoned mix of corn, tomatoes, and beans), and have it pan fried as well; there are probably lots of other ways to cook it but those are the ones I'm familiar with. It can get a slimy consistency if you don't cook it right, so some people dislike it because their first bite of it was slimy and poorly cooked/seasoned. It is similar to a yellow summer squash in taste, but has more of an asparagus texture - kind of snappy unless it's stewed. They do have large seeds but those get soft when cooked - that texture can be off-putting for some people as well as the seeds can sometimes pop when bitten. I like okra a lot. :)

She doesn't like french toast either. Smh
Hey, not liking donuts might be a heath advantage!
Orange Juice Chicken maybe you’re just eating shitty donuts
Orange Juice Chicken Oily doughnuts means that the oil wasn’t hot enough.
I get the "Sunrise Sampler" every time I visit Cracker Barrel. then, I don't eat for the rest of the day. Love your videos!
Yea.... as a previous cook for CB... I can tell you right now. It's not all homemade and fresh.
Ashton Paugh
THANK YOU
Sad thing is it used to be...those old ladies would cook up them greens and beans every day.
We found an honest man!
She said those are fresh pick blackberries... noo sweetie they from a can 😂😂😂
Yes and that beautiful flakey fish is frozen, like 95% of everything else😂😂😂
The chicken and dumplings are unbeatable. I know this is just a massive cracker barrel advertisement, but it also worked because I'm totally going soon because of this video.
Haha, ikr. This looks awesome. I dont have one nearby but wanna make the trip now 😂
I go there almost everyday. I work there😂😂 but can't beat the food
I remember eating here as a kid. I always ordered either the chicken-fried steak or the catfish, with greens and fried okra. This whole video just makes me want comfort food, but I can't eat most of this now. Also, I have yet to see okra in the area I am living now. :(
@@L337Dratini everytime I read back a to go order I see okra. What the heck is okra if I u dont mind me asking
I’ve watched this at least once a month! My favorite episode EVER!! I’m dying to go there! 🥰
“I feel like meatloaf gets such a bad rep, and it’s really rude! It’s not the hottest girl at the party! But it’s really good, there’s a reason it’s still on the menu, and people are still clearly ordering it!” Meatloaf is so good! ^_^ I’ve always loved it as a home cooked dish, and as a restaurant cooked dish! It’s so good with ketchup or gravy, or a bit of both together! :D And Finn, from ‘Adventure Time’, it’s his favorite food! :D
and there are a million variations of it, so never has to be boring.
Wait have you seen a blood orange before? Lol I was more concerned that there WASN'T color to that drink
Robin Singh Same here!!!!
Robin Singh definitely artificial flavored ... the name says it that color was way off
The blood orange soda and black cherry sodas are more like 7-Ups with a splash of flavoring. They’re caffeine free and they have no dyes. The big selling point on them is that they’re made with cane sugar.
Robin Singh • I’ve never heard anyone dishing up the marketing blurb without even hesitating
It is on tap with the sodas.
as a southerner im truly offended she called dumplins noodles. NOODLES?!
Hannahanya me too 😤
Fellow southerner here and I agree with this comment
i live in the north and i thought that was dumb for her to say that lool
Offended is a little over-the-top silly!!
The food would be better if cracker barrel didn't fire Brad's wife on his birthday.
random dude lmfaooo you win the comment section😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Eeeeeeeyyyyyyy
Unfortunately, I don't get it
10 comments down. Honestly I figured there'd be far, far more comments about Brad's Wife
I worked at CB in high school.. I accidentally put double chocolate in the chocolate pecan pie and we couldnt sell them so some of us employees got to take them home.. It was so so soo good! 😅
Are you Brad's wife?
When she ate the pancakes with only a tiny bit of syrup i was like "honey noooooo"
I thought I was the only one 😂😂
Same u need more
I have no idea how she ate all that food. Bless her heart. Cracker Barrel is really yummy and I miss it. The last time I ate at a Cracker Barrel was in the early 2000's. One might say she likes alcohol. :)
All these chains reviewed and the only one I really like is Cracker Barrel. Ate there once and now crave it. They need to open one in nyc.
Eating salad first to get vegetables out of the way= verified strategy 😂
i work at Cracker Barrel and Uncle Hershel actually is the man on the logo!
This is Patrick yeah i eat it, i get a 50% off discount
alyssa bounds so lucky, I’d love to work at Cracker Barrel
cracker barrel meatloaf is the most magical food ever created!
I've never tried it but now I want to!!!
Those are the best looking plate presentations I've ever seen at a Cracker Barrel. Usually it's just thrown on there when I am forced to go with my grandparents.
Cracker Barrel: FAMILY FRIENDLY FUN!! (no alcohol)
Her: this would be AMAZING with alcohol🤪🤪
I used to work in the gift shop and have had guests ask me if we sold moonshine (we do not) lmao
Am I the only person who's food actually gets served this well when their at cracker barrel-
“I say puh-cahn”
Seconds later...
“There’s so many crushed pee-cans in here”
Lmao 😂
You mix the greens and cornbread and add sauce from the peppers. My favorite food
Julia is adorable and has the best personality for this show! 👌👌👌
Takes bearly a sip, OMG SOO GOOD
Mad respect how you reviewed each one like you hadn't just eaten 20+ other dishes.
Bacon no GREASE
*BISCUIT*
I used to be a waitress at cracker barrel!
She should’ve asked for “Grilled Hash brown casserole”
The loaded hashbrown casserole is the best from there. At least my opinion😂
ariana perez I was too! I miss their chicken salad salad and their half pound bacon cheeseburger and steak fries :(
If only brads wife could try all of this stuff. But she can’t, she doesn’t have the money now because she was fired on brads birthday
Who the heck is brad? Lol
BreakMyViolinHeart Ohhhh haha omg that’s so funny 😂
@@creeisaacson I work in the shop side of a Cracker Barrel and I remember my manager coming up with a notice that told us not to speak to the media over it. xD
Hahahhahaha
This is the most sober she’s ever been
Cracker Barrel is my favorite place to eat breakfast. Love all their dishes though. My Cracker Barrel's food looks just like that. Always delicious.
Love that she thought the buttermilk pie was made from scratch. It’s just a frozen crust with a premade filling in a bag.
Andrew Shearin we made our buttermilk pie from scratch at our Cracker Barrel.
@@taylorgarcia5155 get him 🤣
Worked at Cracker Barrel for 2 years. 98% of our food was made from scratch every morning. The only things that would come in frozen would be chicken, fish and ice cream. All desserts, biscuits, corn bread, and side dishes were made all throughout the day. I loved that they actually make things from scratch!
Kylie Graf it’s nice that was your Cracker Barrel, however, it wasn’t his
Currently torturing myself by watching these videos, but loving them at the same time.
Director: how much food do you want?
Julia: yes
I would have to drive 75 miles, just to have this experience. "Babe! Pack your bag We're going on a road trip" lol
I just saw this 3 years later & I think I fell in love with this woman…:) any woman who can go wreck a Cracker Barrel and still look so good & keep her humor up would make me get down on one knee with a quickness…
The fried chicken dish from the 2000s only comes on Sunday and we specifically go on Sunday to get that dish.. It's amazing.
My favorite too. Unbelievably good. Simple but amazing.
They added it to their everyday menu now
@@breannajones3395 home style chicken is sunday. Southern fried chicken is everyday. 2 different dishes.
This is a 22 minute commercial for Cracker Barrel lol 😂
"What's one more thing in your body... after 49." Julia is a legend.
Omg that oatmeal!!! And blackberry cobbler and French toast latte!!!!!
