Matthew 6:5-34 guides us on how we should pray 1 Kings 3:10-14 the Lord is pleased with us when we ask for a discerning heart; to distinguish between right and wrong and be able to lead others to Christ Take time to read the chapter of: The Road to Radiant Youth pg 134-140, Book title: Your Bible And You: Revised and Updated/Arthur S. Maxwell. Jesus was so touched and He is touched by our hungering and thirsting for righteousness both the poor and the rich. I read that Jesus, looking upon the young rich man, He loved. Jesus did so to the poor woman who brought in her offerings. Jesus is touched by our hunger and thirst. He observed how Saul was hungry and thirsty what we call zealousness. We thank God for Saul that he chose to follow Jesus but it is sad that the rich young man did not follow Jesus. He would have been among the 12 disciples. If God has acknowledged His Son: Matthew 17:5 This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him.” We should listen to Him, and whatever He tells us to do, we should do😊 John 2:5 And the Son, with a basin and towel is saying to us: Abide in my love John 15
because Prayer for others in their work is taking the focus off us, Paul took the focus off of him and had that of God's love to help his congregations get what he was talking about thank you Eric and John
I’m so glad that you record your program with the game on the volume turned up enough to make it easy to hear when you’re driving in your car or working outside So many other programs record with such a low volume that it makes it difficult to hear, but it is written has a great volume. That’s easy to hear.
We had the privilege to discuss it too at MelVee Sabbath School and found it very deep indeed. The this is about the Mystery of Godliness - and requires revelation by the Spirit of Christ.
Praise God and thank you Dr. McVay, you have given me/us a gift. The eyes of our understanding are being enlightened by this quarterly you have written. I was at Uchee Pines as a student for several months. While there the book of Ephesians was the quarterly for Sabbath School study. Now this was some years ago. I got up early every morning and read the book of Ephesians in its entirety. I learned many things. But this section chapter 1:15-23 , I could not wrap my brain around this truth in a deep way. I am delighted to return to the book of Ephesians. I’ve been struggling to overcome habits and cherished sins in my life with only momentary relief. Man when I understood God worked in Christ resurrection power and this is “In Christ” and made available for my/our use. We have In Christ’s resurrection - God’s almighty power to deliver us from dead works, which I’ve struggled with for years. I started shouting and claiming my victory in Christ Jesus! In fact I am already free of one. Plus His exaltation, then putting everything under His feet, giving Him total control, as Jesus stated in Matthew 28:18-20, and after that, making Him head of the church. That is awesome- the church should be the most powerful entity on the earth today, if we as His people it. Lord I believe, help thou my unbelief. I finally feel like I can breathe and grow by God’s grace, I’ve been in a holding pattern for a while. Man this is going to change my prayer life. This is part of The Holy Spirit being poured out and the earth lightened with God’s glory. This is just what the Doctor ordered. Praise God, Amen and thank you and It Is Written!
Please pray for my family we are so astray from one anther and there is a passing in the family please ask God to intervene we need help unity respect and compassion towards one another in Jesus Christ amem
@@milemunster1908Disunity and strife often are accentuated in a family when death strikes a family, especially a prominent one. So don't think that you are in a unique situation. Give prayers of thanks for the positive things in the life of the deceased and prayers of intercession and thanks for surviving family members. Make sure that you are not part of the negativity but an example of reconciliation and unconditional love. May the Holy Spirit be near to console, cheer up, heal and reconcile your family through this grieving time and forward. In Jesus' name. Amen
Also, don't forget to listen to the Ellen G.White's NOTES for the Sabbath School Lesson available on Claudio Carniero's UA-cam Channel, beautifully read by Carla Morris. A powerful blessing indeed!
Paul's prayer life 15:17 I think Paul had learned from our Lord Jesus how to pray. His way of praying is similar to:1. The Lord's Prayer which does not dwell on problems. It is about acknowledging our Father, it is about inviting and embracing the heavenly kingdom/values on earth, Trusting our Father who has a better plan for us who are on earth, we ask for the day's food not excess, it is about remembering to forgive others for we have been forgiven.... Lord, teach us how to pray in our aeon Jesus' prayer life: 🌞the morning routine Mark 1:35 💐Praying for His friends/Believers John 17:6-26 If we stay anchored to the Author of our Life, the Great Light; attaching firmly to Him like a tape worm or the anchor to the rock, we will bear much fruit (fragments) of the Spirit similar to the vine we are drinking from Other people's prayer life 1. Abraham pleaded for Sodom and Gomorrah. And God was encouraging Jonah to pray for the Ninevites other than wishing them to die/face God's wrath Helper of Israel, heal our selfcentredness. Healing/correction is a process as it was with Jonah, Saul and Ananias. God works on our attitude and actions. His gentle teaching and great kindness guided Jonah to Nineveh, Ananias to Saul❤. God showed to them that He delights in mankind, God is willing to help His creation made in His Own Image😊🎉🎉. He is ready to harvest where He did not plant🌾🌱🙌🙏 2. Nehemiah & Ezra. The two collaborated and led families, thus a whole nation back to God. Nehemiah's praying style in chapter 1 of Nehemiah is teaching us to pray for others, involving them in finding healing, making them accountable 😊group effort 3. The young king, Josiah committed himself to serve God and led his people to commit/pledge 4. I thank the Lord for Dr. McVay for adding to our knowledge, another praying man: Paul. And besides the tapeworm, I am considering other creatures which bring out the lifestyle of Paul. We can learn from them for the sake of the Gospel eg. amoeba, chameleon, serpent, ants🎉😊One must be led by the Holy Spirit. One of our pioneers was behaving like a chameleon but when people got to know him, they stopped funding him I think Paul, took time to educate himself in the scriptures and the life of Jesus and the Holy Spirit added to him that is why he was able to teach others.
DR Mc Vay ,may I comment ,it is good to see the full face of the person who teaches us,we carry the look of the face when we recall what you teach,I say this with meekness.
7:52 & 8. Paul is being intentional, for Christ's sake 1Cor. 9:20-22 Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. 23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings. Matthew 10:16 Listen carefully: I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; so be wise as serpents, and innocent as doves [have no self-serving agenda].
Where is the evidence that he did? I heard the same claim about pastor Randy Skeete, but i have never heard him recite the whole Bible? Definitely he has a deeper memorisation, but not sure about:whole" part.
Thank you brothers in Jesus Christ for clear explanation of the word of God and amen 🙏. May God richly bless your ministry.
dwell less on the problem and focus more on God's power. Amen!
