I was molested as an 8yr old I had the good sense to go tell my mom and the police and those men were arrested I went to court, they went to prison. Praise Jesus. And I forgive them also as I was very hard on me for years but God is good and we were taught by Jesus to forgive. I'm 70 now still loving Jesus.

@@mrnice111 I’m sorry for you, that you cannot understand the life changing consequences of SA to victims.
I am now 73 and my memories are as if things happened yesterday. You sound bitter, don’t be. There is healing which is a gradual process but is never complete this side of heaven. Our Father is so grieved at such terrible sin that the Bible states what he thinks should be done to a perpetrator. No, we do not have the death penalty for this crime, but there is death as a result. The death of the soul and spirit of such victims. They never forget. I also think there is death within the perpetrators. They most likely have offended prior and will continue to offend. They don’t forget either. But their hearts are seared and cold to their deeds. What a difficult way to live. So there are two victims of each crime of SA. Sometimes the perpetrators is found out and sometimes never. Robert Morris was. He lied and tried to cover-up as also his “protectors” lied. Truth always wins out. Women don’t lie about this, there is so much shame that holds them captive most never tell. But for those that do it requires great courage. Cindy is one of those. I am thankful to hear this report which goes deep into the cover-up. I pray that God will use this all for his glory and that Robt Morris will one day be honest and repent.

I really enjoyed Robert Morris's teaching on a Sunday evening.
I thought that the fact that Robert Morris had repented to the highest person about this issue. If God has forgiven Robert Morris no one has the right to question that. It's just the same if someone stole or cheated or got divorced. God sees sin in the same light, whether big or little. If we come to God in prayer and God forgives us. No one but no one can say otherwise because God has washed Roberts slate clean, so who are we to say otherwise. To do so is telling God he doesn't have that authority and that our decision is above his. People need to be careful here, the lady who had 5 husbands, remember the actions of Jesus. 🙏🙏🙌😇🙏

Children of sexual abuse usually end up having traumatic adult lives. So this lady did not have five (5) husbands when she was a young person, not even yet a teenager. what was done to her caused her having five husbands. 12 years old !!!! If anyone ever has a 12 year old in your life, I hope you pray, and hope they never have to SUFFER such criminal abuse. It's time we stop victimizing and demonizing victims. As true believers should know, there is a world view, and a kingdom view. In the world view, Pastor Robert Morris did a despicable thing when he sexually abused a young child. In the world view, he has been, and will continue to be, harshly punished for his immoral behavior, and from a world view, rightly so.
In the kingdom view, Jesus Christ died on the cross to forgive all of our sins past, present, and future, both large and small. If we repent of our sins, trust and openly profess Jesus as our Lord and Savior, keep His commandments, and turn our lives over to Him, we will enter His kingdom, and be judged as to our rewards, not our salvation. Only God knows what rewards await Pastor Morris. But in the kingdom view, there will be rewards, not condemnation.
I am saddened to see that so much of the so called Christian community has, with regard to Pastor Morris, abandoned the kingdom view in favor of the world view. In so doing, they are telling us that Christ died for nothing. We must, as true believers remember that we are in the world, but no longer of the world, and as Romans 5:8 tells us: “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” You either believe Scripture, or you don’t.

I’m sorry But I disagree with some of this. I’m sorry, but the answer you were looking for is not less biblical authority or less spirit led leadership and it’s also not more bureaucratic government. I am from Africa and I have been blessed by pst Morris messages. I still remember one he taught on hearing God.
Am sorry for the abuse, and the victim. But can the church also forgive, just as God forgave us? He’s a human being not an angel. He has ruled well for the last 20yrs.
I will forever count him (Pst Morris) worthy of double honour. He is a wounded soldier. We should pray for him to heal and be restored. Same for the victim too.
All these people who seem so sanctimonious right now, if God should give the mark of sin who can stand? If everyone past is dug up who really can stand. We are all a product of Grace!
May God heal the victim and restore his servant and bless His church even more in Jesus name.

I *genuinely* feel confused and would like to hear points of view that may help me understand a differing perspective. What I’m hearing is, that as a 20 y/o, with Cindy’s family and other elders fully aware of what was going on (including her age - past elders did know as stated in this report), he followed the guidance of repenting, being gone for 2 years, and coming back to the ministry restored. Of course those around him should have handled holding him accountable differently (reported to police!) but at the time that sadly was not the case. Should he never have come back despite seemingly following the process set for him at the time? And if no one else has ever come forward, is it possible that is the fruit of his repentance several decades ago? It feels like many feel his sin should disqualify him for the rest of his life but that is not the principle set forth in scripture. I appreciate the structural changes to create more safeguards but I can’t help but wonder about the rest.

Sadly, Debbie Morris knew Cindy's age back when her parents confronted Robert while she was still a teenager. Apparently, Debbie believed Cindy seduced Robert, likely due to Robert's description of events, for which Debbie told Cindy she forgave her. This is not an uncommon belief among those who have the proclivity to commit such assaults. Their demons tell them the girls want the "attention." I do feel bad for Debbie, but she knew Cindy was underage. I'm most angry that ANYONE, EVER believed Robert should be a pastor. If repentance is genuine, you can be restored to the Body of Christ. However, there should never be an elder anywhere who would endorse such a one to pastorship. It doesn't pass Biblical muster. As for Cindy, my only issue with her is why the issue of money ever came out of her mouth. I've been a victim. I don't want you writing me a check! King David repented and was forgiven…
I debate that King David was not “drug through the mud”.
King David kept his secret until Nathan's Parable was presented to King David.
The LORD sent Nathan to David, and when he came to him, he said: “Tell me how you judge this case: In a certain town there were two men, one rich, the other poor.
The rich man had flocks and herds in great numbers.
      3
But the poor man had nothing at all except one little ewe lamb that he had bought. He nourished her, and she grew up with him and his children. Of what little he had she ate; from his own cup she drank; in his bosom she slept; she was like a daughter to him.
      4
Now, a visitor came to the rich man, but he spared his own flocks and herds to prepare a meal for the traveler who had come to him: he took the poor man’s ewe lamb and prepared it for the one who had come to him.”
David grew very angry with that man and said to Nathan: “As the LORD lives, the man who has done this deserves death!
      6
He shall make fourfold restitution* for the lamb because he has done this and was unsparing.”b
      7
Then Nathan said to David: “You are the man!
The man would not only have been drugged through the mud… He would’ve been killed.
When King David realized God knew his sin (and exposed it to Nathan) … King David did the FULL repentance…he repented OF All…
In 1000 years nobody’s going to remember what Robert Morris did but in 1000 years should the Lord tarry, everyone will still know what David did and the steps that God took.. and you believe that David wasn’t “drugged the mud”?
Not hiding his sin, king David himself exposed it but not without a little heat from God.
King David had the wisdom to repent fully ( Perhaps because God Himself stepped in and exposed it… leaving the restoration up to God and not the public officials we have today.)
The exposure is not to bring shame to Robert Morris… But to restore Robert Morris in full.. the way God does when He Has been trying patiently to get us to see fully how our misconduct hurts others, offend Him and keep us from fully depending on Him-even when our deepest sin is exposed . There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus…
We all need to walk through the valley of the shadow of the death. That can be different circumstances for everyone. For Robert this is probably the valley of the shadow of death… but this is a good place to be and those who love God believe no condemnation towards Robert.
But it does not mean that Robert Morris’s actions should not be disclosed to the public.
There are many who have used this story to work out their own salvation , perhaps their children’s life has benefitted- in ways we do not know or could comprehend.
I still respect Pastor Morris for his good service. But the facts remain that God knew this story needed to come into full light for the benefit of many…
You’re feeling and thoughts that Pastor Morris is being “drug through the mud“ is Pastor Morris’ Valley of Shadow - since God has grace on him and us all… Pastor Morris has the grace to walk through this valley of the shadow of death like we all do.
When God’s wants something brought to light He gives us the opportunity to repent… If we “repent” partially is it really repentance?
Or, if God feels the need for this story to resurface-despite the pain it uncovers for Pastor Morris or his family…Should not God use it the way He wants?
We believe and trust God for our salvation, duly, we agree that God uses all things for our good.
In closing, you are speaking a span of thousands of years ago with an Absolute 180* cultural difference.
King David was a king and nobody could speak against the king… We are living in a dynamically different culture…
God Blessed the United States -A democratic country today…we have a voice and we have a voice reason…

We started attending in 2022. She approached the young pastor and offered to volunteer for womens ministry. This 30 year old 'know it all' just looked at her and said, "not now, I haven't even thought of men's ministry yet" We lasted a few months before we gave up on trying to convince him we wanted to help. He turned out to be one of the most narcissistic control freak we had ever met. We are also not going to church anymore because like you, its just too unbearable to sit week after week listening to one man tell us what to believe. We have the promised Holy Spirit to lead us and teach everything we need to know. God bless you sister

This church will fail within 30 years. Absolutely appalling handling and when you take the worlds way you get the worlds results, the favour on this church will fully lift. It doesnt excuse Roberts bad behaviour but it also displays a revengeful spirit, a spirit that doesnt forgive and a mindset that says you are disqualified even after repentance which entirely negates the truths of the cross. Part of the problem, I believe, with pastors/church leaders regarding accountability, is that often there are only "yes-men" on the boards and there are no women. Women have discernment and should be included in leadership. I've read too many stories of women going to their all-male boards about their husbands abusing them and/or their children, and they're told to return home and submit. No woman would ever say that to another woman. Let's protect women and free women in the church to be all God has called them to be.
