Following and learning gradually from genius Kenny... I Know for sure a day is coming am gonna graduate from his priceless school of thought... A big thanks to him all day long
Im sure there are templates dude.. Plus it only takes like 10 seconds per band. I was just going to buy fab filter and now I just saved like 180 dollars! Knowledge is power
That's great, thanks a lot Kenny. There's just one detail I didn't understood... At 11:53, how do you recall the parameter modulation windows? Is it a shortcut? But for what action in the list? As usal a very good tutorial and very useful - and powerfull - in many situations. Thank's again! :)
@@piscesman54 Yes, and be mindful that the keystroke you assign, will need you to be focused in a Reaper window. At least for me, when I'm in a plug-in it doesn't respond.
please explain me Because when I do the procedure of the pin connector, the modulation parameter does not receive input 3/4 orders, but rather the 1/2 ¿what is happening?.
ReaXComp handles frequencies with crossover filters splitting up the entire frequency range. In order to affect just a single narrow band you'd need to set up dummy bands on each side of it to be able to define the range you want to compress. Those crossover filters are pretty steep (finite impulse response-based maybe?) and will likely sound very different to the smooth filter bands being sidechained here. In some cases both options might be viable. If you're taming an entire mix or group and you want to influence pretty much the entire frequency range I definitely see both as being useful options. That's pretty much what multiband compressors are for, but dynamic EQ can get you just as good results. I might simply try both and see which option gets me the results that I want. For sure if you're just hearing a few frequency ranges you want to control, as is the case here. I'd say dynamic EQ is the more intuitive option though. And you can make some FX chain templates with different amounts of bands to save time when you're in the flow. ;)
I wonder if i can link the frequency fader of the band pass EQ to the frequency fader of the dynamic eq? If it can't, saving these EQ as a chain doesn't really help!
On side chain band pass filter's frequency, add a param modulation, but rather than having audio as the source, choose the source as the FX parameter of the corresponding band in the main instance of ReaEQ.
Hello Mr. Kenny G. I’ve seen your tutorials on Reaper via UA-cam. Thank you for your relative contributions to the platform. I was wondering if you could work with me on a one on one session through Team- viewer or Logme in 123 or a similar program. Do you do this type of work for hire ? it would mos definitely help me in my learning process. Reach out to me, let me know if you can assist me in learning more about Reaper and it’s tools. Have a great day. Bob Newsome
They should just make a multiband dynamic eq. This is awesome though for sure!!!
@@ahteha8010 Second that. It' was a little less intuitive (at least for me) at first, but I got past it. It sounds great!
Although I also agree it'd be very nice to get a ReaDynEQ. :)

Prayin for a full instance of stock dyn EQ released soon!

Reinventing TDR Nova))) Awesome video, Kenny, as always!
unbelievable how much stuff this software and its free plug ins have under the hood. off the roof
For the first look it's difficult, but in the end it's a great tool! Thank you for this detailed description!
Man, you're a genius. This is brilliant!
You da man Kenny!! Thank you so much!!
Always wondered how to do that in Reaper. Thanks!!
I love it! So useful. Thanks Kenny!
Thanks Kenny. Always learning from you - hope I can use it!

Yes, please tell us. That stood out for me as well.
@Myomin Aung Thanks! Gotta implement that as I'm often fiddling around in there.
@Myomin Aung I don't have that option in the FX menu. Does it need to be customized as an action?

Felipe Mathews u gotta click something first
can you have more examples in sidechain and using other filter type? also how about boosting? this one is all about reducing.
Great video, very helpful!
this is like FabFilter Pro-Q3 :)... thanks Kenny
I want to hear Kenny’s mixes!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this way I can set things up for adding a Subkick base on the kick isn't?
Thanks Kenny... Very valuable!!! 👍👍👍👍
espetacular obrigado, Kenny..
Incredible. Thxx!
So u can use this as a desser too, right?
...pretty cool. Thanks
These are all compressor effects. How to make gate/downward expander with parameter modulation? Any Idea?
please explain me

How does this process differ from the multiband compression in ReaXcomp, for example?

That's a really good point, but you just need to find your problem frequency and then be sure to set it in both the main eq and the sidechain eq.
On side chain band pass filter's frequency, add a param modulation, but rather than having audio as the source, choose the source as the FX parameter of the corresponding band in the main instance of ReaEQ.
you absolutely can and then there's no need to set the frequency band on both instances of ReaEQ
Witchcraft ! Scary Kenny !

I think this is better than a multiband compressor
Good video again
Can they update the reacomp to show the in and out volume
I like how CPU consumed by this setup is around 0.1%. 👍
Does this video need an update or is my REAPER config just too far gone? Because the plugin pin menu thing isn't working like it is in this video.
whats the purpose of this vs using a regular eq?
Listen carefully to the explanation in the video.
Awesome
Wowzers!
WoW!!!
Gracias x enseñarnos tanto. Luego lo vuelvo a estudiar con los subtítulos en español, que si no no me entero 🧐.
Your to damn smart!
Great
Still need a side chain video man
