    Big part of the lesson here for me was the easy way to the plug in connector. This can be used in so many other ways. This is why I watch Kenny's vids even when I think I already know the content. Picking up tips and shortcuts for other things besides the focus of the video. Thanks for the wonderful work, Mr Mania.

    This doesn't only look cool, but more importantly it's as good as those paid plugins, and it's right inside the reaper. Reaper always has something hidden inside and there's people like Kenny to uncover and blow my mind. Thank a ton mate.

    I have been using Reaper for about 3 years now, and pretty much daily for about 1,5 years. I come back to this channel every now and then to refine my memory about somethings, whatever it may be, BUT everytime it just blows my mind about how much i still dont know about Reaper! and then it makes sense to link the Sidechain EQ Frequency slider to the main EQ Frequency slider via Parameter modulation, so you don't have to adjust both and can only deal with the main EQ in selection of the frequency band

    TDR Nova is a free and easy to use dynamic EQ. My go-to for hassle-free EQing of those pesky temporary frequencies. Does Reaper plan to release something easy and simple like this? A decent guitar distortion plugin with some modeling would be nice too (it already has some decent cabinet simulations). Love everything else about reaper. :)

      Just route the kick track to the bass track, but put it in a different channel pair other than 1+2, so maybe 5+6 for this example. Open a new ReaEQ instance and set its input and output to 5+6. This EQ will now only recieve audio from the kick. From there on, just follow the video

    @justinjohnson9972 4 роки тому

    Umm...surely that last high-end frequency example should have also used a band-pass like the first example rather than a peak eq? The peak eq would be boosting the sidechain and a high pass had to be added to mask lower frequencies. Wouldn't need that with a band-pass.

    ReaEQ isn't the best EQ there is... so yeah, it can be used as a dynamic EQ (with some fiddling as you demonstrate here) but it's not the most optimal for it in any capacity. It's still a good video to see what's possible using REAPER, but I'd just choose some free VSTi Dynamic EQ instead... or pay few bucks for one if I _really_ need it.
    Still, nice tutorial on using parameter automation/linkin and sidechain capabilities of REAPER.
