ReEQ is really a great JS plugin, probably the best free alternative to Pro-Q types payable EQs. A dynamic feature would make it the best Reaper free EQ ever !
The TDR Nova EQ is free (not the Gentleman’s Edition, though!) and has dynamic EQ capabilities. That could be a good option if you need a free dynamic EQ.
@@AshleyKampta2 Of course, TDR Nova is a must in terms of free dynamic EQ VST plugins. But it nonetheless would be great to have a JS dynamic EQ plugin available.
Great video! I’ve been using Reaper for 10+ years, but I didn’t know about ReEQ until now! I have a feeling it’s going to become my default EQ. The ability to invert the gain on each band means it will be super useful for notching one track and then adding a matching boost on another to help specific sounds cut through.
Mike, thank you for helping get me out from under the rock. I used to do some audio editing back in the early 2000s and recently decided to get back into it. Much to my surprise, all of the software I used has all gone subscription based so I've been searching for more affordable alternatives. Reaper and Cakewalk are what I've chose. Videos like yours and Kenny Gioia's are really helping me to adjust to the learning curve and see how versatile Reaper really is. Greatly appreciated!
I’m new to reaper so I’m going through a lot of videos trying to learn it. The pronunciation thing though has annoyed me more than anything should annoy a normal person 😂 It seemed totally logical based on it is Ree per and not re uh per. Anyway. Loving the saw so far and all the readily available information out there. Thanks for this! Oh and I forgot to add I’m going to pronounce this plugin as Reek because why not? 😂
Justin has said he doesn’t say “Re-uh” but doesn’t really care. I’m with you! Re-uh is stupid and wrong. Calling this “ReEQ” was a really dumb choice, but hey he’s an audio dev not a marketer, and it’s a great plugin! I hope he adds dynamic EQ option one day.
I always said "re-uh" cuz Kenny said ReaEQ. When Justin came on my channel he said he doesn't care, but the best strategy is to say it quick enough that it's ambiguous whether you said reuh or re
I bought proq3 long ago because reapers stock eq is really meh. The ability to change the slope is actually really important for lowend mixing. Glad something like this is now in reapack. Maybe they can include it in the main daw.
Favourite EQ's: AA-551 CS (Audio Assault) low cost high quality channel strip TDR Nova GE and TDR Slick EQ GE (Tokyo Dawn Records) low cost Fabfilter TRacks Classic EQ (IK multimedia) great Mid Side EQ , free RARE and RARE SE (Analog Obsession), Brilliant Pultec emulations again free Coffe the PUN (Acustica Audio), I think this is free, but regardless just an exceptional Pultec plugin
As someone who didn't really use any other DAWs besides Reaper, ReEQ was a huge deal to me. I hated the process of EQing stuff before because the interface for ReaEQ is just so unappealing to look at. I feel like I have a much better idea of what I'm doing visually now and I also find it so much easier to use.
Very nice looking EQ! I didn't know about it. Thanks. My favorite free digital EQs are Tone Boosters' v3, Melda's, and of course Tokyo Dawn Nova for dynamic EQ. I purchased Izotope's Ozone elements for $5 to use in linear phase EQ applications. Honestly though, the EQ of the channel strip plugin that is on every track sees the most use (usually bx ISA). There are lots of good commercial strips on the market. Is there a good JS channel strip available?
@@LetsTalkAboutReaper Tukan has some impressive stuff. I did use Tukan AC Trem on a song recently because the tone was just perfect. The baked in EQ of the Tukan strips I tried turned me off.
Man ! Hi from France ! I'm discovering your channel and i really appreciate the tips you can give and share with us. I follow and put a thumbs up. Thanks a lot and keep it up ! À bientôt. 👍

Total EQ by HoRNet is another great option which can be had on sale (which happens often) for under $10.
Was considering Fab Filter eq, I think this video may have saved me some money :) Reaper is brilliant and now even better!

Definitely gonna try this out. Looks awesome.
I think I'm gonna call it "Reek" though.
I've actually never used this plugin, did not know it was even there, thanks!
Thank you, I have been looking for a way like this to pull down the "mud" and "harsh" frequencies. This video helped a lot.

Strong beard rep.
Been using this one for a while, it's fantastic
woooaa cool plugin indeed . I actually had my eye on fab filter stuff, but as you said they are not cheap, at least I get an alternative in reaper
Really like the track you used.
Absolute gem! Subbed
Thank you!
Beard is boarding on Jordan Rudess esque.

Kenny is to be referenced for Reaper knowledge, not oration. In fact you are a superior presenter Arya.
My favorite go to EQ
Thanks! Subbed

devi prima installare reapack per reaper, poi aggiungi la repository a reapack copiando il link in descrizione
Wow you earned a Like for that opening alone! 😂
Wait until the post credits scene 🤣
