Before I started building these cars I tried doing some research. Came up with every brand claimed to be the best of course. I wanted to do some side comparisons but found no one near me stocked any panels let alone multiple brands. So I figured I could share my experience side by side and hope it helps. Thank you for watching!

All my research points to AMD being the best product from what I have read. I used OER products restoring my 64 impala and it was all a horrible fit. Trim and chrome parts I had to send back. The rubber bumper stops lasted a year and started to degrade to a chalky powder. I have not bough any AMD for my 69 convertible yet . So I can not comment first hand on my experience with those products yet.

so far like 90% of the time when I compare a AMD panel vs any other brand I prefer the AMD and it is better. cleaner lines, better fitting, correct or at least heavier gauge steel.

i ordered a set of amd front fenders and was less than happy with the fitment at the windshield and door. i have been told this is a commen problem with the amd fenders but it is very frustrating issue. to get the enders to bolt to the car your going to have to do some reshaping of the fenders at the cowl and door top area.

The X label is supposed to be their lesser quality. They don’t make any Camaro or Firebird parts that don’t have the x in the part number that I have found yet. I have used Multiple brand fender patches, hoods, rear frame rails, rear full 1/4 panels, one piece floor pan, trunk floor and rocker panels. After I Started using AMD I found They where heavier gauge steel and cleaner body lines and less fuss to install in comparison. I have yet to use any brand fenders. I might just buy one to try it. I have a 68 bird I am doing next and the rf fender is rough. • @VinylVillageGarage

That is a very good question that I can’t guarantee the answer, I have been told yes but I don’t see how, I have a 68 bird coupe that needs the floor replaced in it. I might try and experiment and prove if it can be done. The cars I have replaced the floor pans in have been convertibles or the front sub frame was out and I put them in from the bottom, not to mention it clears all the bracing I add before I cut the floor out but still you have a very good question in which I intend to prove here very soon.
