This is probably the best song to start out with when playing this game. It's simple, it's fun, and it's really cool. That payoff at the ending is also amazing and awesome to experience in your first play through.
I remember playing the demo for this game at a Target in my hometown, and after playing this part, I immediately fell in love and bought the full game the same day.
@@CodeKirby Hiiii! This was how my very extreme obsession came in. I just see one perfect, and am like, “gimme, gimme!” Built to scale ds is my favorite minigame, not only is it an almost flawless tutorial, but the music is also amazing! This beats everything else by a mile in my opinion. As for the others, I like fever’s but it stole karate man 2’s gimmick of the song speeding up and slowing down. Fun fact: The slowest song in rhythm heaven is generally agreed to be built to scale fever’s third to last section (no bpm change for the sequel somehow), which is only 60 beats per minute. In contrast, ds would absolutely destroy the speed barrier even without endless games (and the octopus machine), with a 290 bpm for big rock finish C! That’s faster than most rock songs! Even if you only counted minigames with the same bpm, then it would _still_ destroy the speed barrier, with cosmic rhythm rally having 210 beats per minute! That is insane! In contrast, the fastest remix with a consistent speed is remix 8 of fever, which is 190. It is also the fastest song from fever. The minigame that you watching the perfect of, built to scale, is actually quite slow at first. It only has a weirdly specific bpm of 98, being the fastest song with only 2 digits. I’ll have to check the video for the second part.
The going to black freaked me out the first time. It was like "Oh that was easWAIT WHAT" Shoulda seen it coming, I've watched so many other rhythm minigames from the series and most of them troll you.
You gotta admire how the game designers put the spotlight in the last part of the game to take the training wheels off for the player so to speak. Makes them have to rely on the music to get the timing right.
God... this game got me hooked onto Nintendo in the first place. My first ever game on my little DS, those were the days. As someone with ADHD and Aspergers, rhythm games are perfect for me. Though... to be fair I could never pass up from remix 4 hhhhh- I need to find this game again, I really do
I already played fever before getting into this game. When I first played built to scale I was all like “Well this seems too simple. Hole in one had a bit of better and catchy music.” Then I reach 0:55 and I immediately loved this game, the track is such a banger
This is the perfect first minigame It gives you a simple concept: hit on 5, and builds the minigame around it. It has differing speeds showing you that the game is going to try and throw you off so don’t get too comfortable, but also maintaining the simple pattern teaching the player to play using basic patterns in the music and showing the player that it isn’t going to play dirty, even later in remix 8 when it is firing on full cylinders in terms of difficulty it never plays dirty, giving you a clear warning when it’s time to switch, it could easily just go into lockstep with the same warning as normal but it gives you a second to prepare. it never increases the pitch until later when you would be getting the hang of it. But in case you were playing with your eyes and not your ears the game assures you that will only get you so far as it blocks out your vision while also warning you again never to get too comfortable.
It depends on what song it is. Sometimes 'Barelys' count as 'Hits' when going for a perfect (Space Shoot em Up), while on other songs they don't (Rhythm Rally)
The squares roll on a beat of five. Count to five, and on the fifth beat, shoot the cylinder. Works all the time, and it's especially helpful when the screen blacks out
this really gave me flashbacks. I remember playing rhythm heaven. Built to Scale may have been the first level, but it was my favorite level. Man, I miss the old days.
My claim to fame is that I once got an OK on this without listening or looking. Purely remembered the beat. Not a chance anymore but I could do it once.
My favorite game in the world. I look back to all the songs and remember how I sucked when I first got it so my onee-chan had to do most of them for me and how today I have all medals but one and see how much ive improved. Im coming for you last medal!
I played Rhythm Heaven for the first time a couple months ago, and remembered I played the demo from the Nintendo Channel with this minigame in it 10 years prior
I haven't played much of this game since Fever came out, but I saw on here that Fillbots 2 did something like this. And yeah, remix 10 on Fever was just horrid...though I gotta admit that part was awesome, was cracking up at the end. xD
i have a severe skill issue on this one, like you have to get a perfect or miss only 5 or less to pass??? huh??? i thought this was the first (and easiest) game??? edit: nvm i finally got an OK after like 8 minutes after i posted this lmfao
Honestly, I like this one the best because of the song, but if you think about it, the one in fever is the one from the GBA mixed with this one. You still flick widgets, but the widgets bounce on the things before they get shot into the other things (can someone please tell me what they’re called I know what the widgets are but what are the other ones)
This one's worser, since if i calculated randomly right, there would be about space for 13 of those circles just in that screen, so basically that is about over 90%.
I know this is 1 year after, but, I know a bass and something else are at the start, maybe a flute, the blocks are a xylaphone, drums are added somewhere, electro something as well.
remix ten fades black at the end in Fever, and Tap Troupe from the same has a random hesitation near the end you could never anticipate from the cues. Those are the worst two I can remember, though I recall another DS one doing something pretty bad... it might have been Rhythm Rally 2.
After some thinking, one would realize the sudden blackout is to teach you not to rely too much on visual cues.
I saw you at the comments of Munchy Monk for Rhythm Heaven Fever :D (It's just that for me is weird to see the same person :) )
+ConfirmCLM no.. it's still to make you rely on a sense of rhythm
