I needed to access the seat adjustment switch in my 2007 Expedition and your video showed me exactly how to do it - thank you! When I need a new seat cover for it, I'll be happy to buy it from you.
Thanks guys!! Your video helped my wife and I tackle this project over the weekend. 9 hours later, we did it. We bought our seats from a TX company. They fit great. I’d recommend using the OEM bar rails. Keep your old seats and use as a reference.
Thank you so much for making this video! I have a 2013 Expedition so some things about the way the seat goes together have changed but this still provided a great basis reference. This was also very helpful regarding the hog rings. On my Dodge Ram there are no hog rings for the seat cover so this video made me realize I needed more tools and parts to do the job. Also shows us how the hog rings connect so as a hog ring 'noob' that was extremely helpful. Thanks again, great video!!
I just ordered the driver seat for my 2010 Ford Expedition EL, the perforated leather matched perfectly and I like the made in Texas tag. The 2010 is much easier to do than the 2008 as you don’t have to remove the fan motor or those 4 bolts for the pan. The only tricky part I found was putting the front in, I didn’t realize I had to go under the black plastic piece, once I looked at my passenger seat I figured it out. Thanks again! Looks like I’ll be ordering the passenger side soon.
I have a 2010 Eddie Bauer, does the seat bottom have any airbags? If not, I can get a great deal on a good condition used seat and swap the bottom portions.
You guys are Great !!!! I have the exact same seat and seat cover for my 2012. I couldn't find the bolts to remove the pan from the frame, but I was able to remove the cushion from the frame. The replacement had way much more material than the factory, but I made it work. Your video was Essential for getting the job done correctly and quickly. I don't know how much money I saved, but it had to be at least a hundred bucks LOL
Great video. Thanks guys. The more new vehicles prices rise the longer we keep or vehicles. So replacement parts and Do It Yourself assembly is important.
Thanks!!! This was very helpful. I just picked up a 2008 Expedition Limited in perfect condition except for the driver seat lower. I will be ordering my replacement soon.
Thank you guys SO MUCH!This is one of the BEST instructional videos ever put on UA-cam. However, I followed your directions step by step, and my seat pan will not lift from the frame. I rewatched, paused, and rewound but still can't determine what is keeping it attached. Do you have any suggestions?
Hi Tee, we just want to make sure we are on the same page please let us know if this is the section you are needing or if there is something else you are wanting to remove. - 8:02 - 10:56 If it is something else you can also just give us a call to see if we can walk you through this section. 214-710-2565
Great Video. This is exactly what I need to do, and might make a good saturday afternoon project. However, I don't have all the tools (or time). Approximately what would it cost for this job?
It will really depend on the shop doing the install and what you are wanting to install. Usually, it will range around 150 per cover but that is a very general number, here is a link to all of the shops in our network to see if they can try and help you out - www.theseatshop.com/resources/install-locator/
I wish y’all would do a video on a 2010 expedition because it’s very different to take the pan out. I don’t think you can because I don’t see ANY bolts holding the pan in like at 9:00
Hey, maybe you all could help. I tried to swap out the seat in my 07 Expedition with a driver seat from an 08 expedition. They have the same connectors, same trim levels vehicle wise, but I can get the seat to have power to move. I know the seat works, it just won't power up, but the stock seat does. Now, the stock seat has a molded headrest while the donor seat has a removable headrest, I'm assuming this was just a change in years as 07 was the first coming off of the previous generation, could this be my problem? I would appreciate any help you all might have if any, thank you.
Great job guys. Thanks so much for this demonstration 👍 Very helpful. Seats have become SO COMPLICATED 😕 I definitely would NOT want to do this blindly (I couldn't even imagine it now) However, after watching this is wanna pull my seats out and recover them🤗 jk
Doing this on a 2011 Expedition, it's the same all the way up until removing the actual seat bottom, then it's radically different. No 4 bottom bolts, just clips and big metal retaining springs, and no metal seat pan.
so the top we have unfortunately not been able to shoot a video yet but it is similar to this video - ua-cam.com/video/dvFNWn399Eg/v-deo.html There is a difference since the face does not use velcro strips but instead uses two metal bars that hog ring in some specific places. If you would like more info please give us a call where one of our R&D specialists can walk you through this 214-710-2565 we are open from 9AM-5PM Mon-Fri
We don't have much R&D on the functions on the 2nd row for the Navigator the only videos we have for functionality are the 3rd row options for GM seats. Here is a link to view our the troubleshoot video on that to see if it could possibly help. - ua-cam.com/video/Tx3a9MFlZ1o/v-deo.html
Hi Paul, thanks for the comment, we would not recommend doing so but exchanging seats into different vehicles is something that happens all of the time, so it is possible but it is not alway easy.
Hi Jum, we understand the concern but since the airbag quick-connect needs to be removed to take out the seat, unplugging it from the floorboard will do the same job as unplugging the battery for it not to go off and for you to be able to work on the seat. This is how we took the one out for the one featured in the video, please let us know if this helps and if you have any other questions or concerns.

I had to take off that black plastic piece. I couldn't find those bolts they were talking about

Thanks. Seeing you do it is a big help. I ordered my seat cover from y'all, and it has arrived. Looking forward to the installation.
Thanks so much for this detailed video now I feel confident on doing the seat cover replacement.

Nice Info and job. I will attempt my seat foam replacement as it looks pretty simple . thanks for making this video!
Sounds great, thanks for the support and if you have any questions please let us know.
A fantastic video. I'll order my seat cover this week from you guys. Great job. Thanks!
Very skilled , thanks guys. Ready to tackle my job now. Great schooling.
Wow, that looks way harder than I would have thought. You guys are really talented.
I use a cutter pin remover or a hook tool to remove the plastic hook strips. A handy tool for other applications as well.
Cotter not cutter.

Should you disconnect the battery before unplugging the airbag connections?
Great Video!!! Pay attention to those connectors and take your time
Great Video, No wonder ford charges a fortune to do this. Probably going to take me most of a day to get that done.

Can you do a new video on the 2010 Expedition replacement of bottom seat cover? OR is this the same as this video? Also I have cool vents in my seat.
Great video and high quality product. Thanks
Hi Cody, we appreciate the feedback, let us know if we can do anything else to help you out.
Have a video on the back? Or is the King video the same process?
Do you have a video for the top section or seatback , I have a 2009 but this seems identical

Of course, not a problem at all! Glad we were able to make it as easy as possible for you!

Robert, I am trying a 2012 right now and running into the same issue. Were you able to get it done?
Where are you located can we just bring it to your business?
Thanks boys!
is there a video for a 2014 expedition?
Muchas gracias.
Good video guys! I have a question I have an 07 Expedition that has heated and cooled seats does it have a heater grid in the bottom and back?
Hey Mike Balloonman, the heaters are not sewen into the cover but both the bottom and top have spacer fabric so that either AC or Heat can go through
Awesome video guys!! Thank you so much
alright sweet, so how can I get the back rest replaced too?

I'll take a manual seat anyway after seeing this. Probably would take a few grand off the sticker price too.
Do you have a 2014 f150 video?
We got you covered - ua-cam.com/video/dvFNWn399Eg/v-deo.html
Hey guys. I have a 2007 Lincoln Navigator. The middle row seat on one side, will not lift up. Can you help

Hi Guys,
do you have the two tone leather seat covers for the 07 ford expedition Eddie bauer edition????
Do you’ll have leather seats for a 03 Lincoln town car
Hi there, unfortunately, we're not going to have anything for the Lincoln Town Car.
Love these videos. It is possible for me to put 07 expedition seat in a 03 expedition
Hi Paul, thanks for the comment, we would not recommend doing so but exchanging seats into different vehicles is something that happens all of the time, so it is possible but it is not alway easy.
Do I have to remove the seat to change the fan/blower on passenger side seat?
Should just be able to unbolt and lean it back in the truck. Thanks
Where do purchase the seat foam 2007 Lincoln navigator driver side bottom
The 07-08 Lincoln Navigator foam is on our up and coming items... hopefully, in the near future this will be an option
Might want to tell people to disconnect 🔋 so the airbag doesnt kill them?
Hi Jum, we understand the concern but since the airbag quick-connect needs to be removed to take out the seat, unplugging it from the floorboard will do the same job as unplugging the battery for it not to go off and for you to be able to work on the seat. @@TheSeatShop will in plugging the air bag set off the air bag light on the dash for a 2013 Lincoln Navigator?
@@genedare4399 As long as you remove the seat and disconnect everything it won't be a problem. When you plug it in, it will function like normal, etc.
I thought that was a car seat
Let us know if you need help finding something else, just keep in mind we mainly specialize in Trucks and SUV options.

disconnect battery first!!!!!
Why? When you unplug the yellow wires, you are disconnecting the airbags.
